I have one and I was one of those guys that did not like cats at all and I always had a dog...until a kitten showed up at my back porch and now it sleeps in my bed 🤔😄

I’ve had cats since I was a baby. My first one was a black cat too, he had a little crooked bump on the end of his tail and his name was Crooker, he would steal my dad‘s guitar pics and hide them under his chair…found a huge stash of them when we moved😹 He brought home his pregnant girlfriend when I was just a toddler, they both took off and left my mom and me with eight tiny kittens to bottlefeed and raise, I can still remember those early mornings with my mom and the kittens crawling all over us…it’s a highlight memory of my childhood 💕
Had cats of all different colors, but the thing that is most striking are the white ones. I never choose them they always find me. It’s been happening since I was 15 years old, it’s truly remarkable…I was never without a white cat for most of my life up until about five years ago. I lost my dad to suicide when I was 12, and everything in me tells me that they come from him. I hope it’s OK to share that.
I’m 53 now and the girl I have now came to me in my dreams. I had recently lost my last white cat and was suffering the deepest of broken hearts, wasn’t quite ready to welcome a new cat but you know how that goes lol I had a dream about a cat with a messy face, half white half gray. I live in a super small town but I went online and looked at our animal shelter to see what there was to see , expecting there to be nothing…and lo and behold there she was, Luna, the sweetest little messy faced cat you ever did see, so yeah I’ve had her for the last five years. She was the only cat there it was so meant to be!

Yes!! It literally calms me down when I'm having anxiety to cuddle with her!! If she doesn't come to bed right away at night or when I'm napping, I have a hard time falling asleep and don't sleep as well!! ❤️

My little KitKat is one of those subtle, soft purrer's, as well. Rarely meows, as well, unless she thinks you're going to open the patio door and go outside with her, THEN she got something to say......and, she is quite the biscuit maker. She is the first non black, non Siamese cat I've ever had. Rescued her from the shelter her first available adoption hour! It was hard to wait those days out!

I was always told by my mom & dad (born in 1947&49) that a cat will steal a baby’s breath while it sleeps. I was told this my whole life growing up,but we had a family cat when I had my daughter & I was living with them at the time she was born 🤷🏼♀️ She Never bothered her while she was asleep & didn’t have any interest in her while she was awake either lol
