- With the powerful advent of various potential gen4 acts, many groups who used to be praised as “monster rookies” are now seen struggling to maintain their heat. What’s even more mind-blowing about this cold harsh truth is that two out of three groups here are legit from Big3 and at first, they were all predicted to soon conquer the K-Pop race like queens opening the new era for the industry. So, there are 3 groups that are recently said to gradually lose their heat and need to do something about that.

Tbh I don't even understand why O.O flopped. I personally really like this song and the MV 😞 Is it because there are two different vibes in the same MV that people dislike it?
Psy's Gangnam Style makes history and is now a living legend , this song for me doesnt have deep meaning or story tell or give inspiration,
But its a bop world wide , 1st time listening to it and your hook up. i know its a different concept. But you gotta feel the vibes if were talking about vibes :)
It's not because of the MV, it's the song. I know their aiming for a mix concept sound but O.O is a mess, there fans love it for sure but it's just hard to listen for the GP. I hope this comeback JYP will give them good song.
Tbh the main reason I disliked it is because of their Pronounciation. I remember i encountered some Spanish fans and they didn't knew that the word they're saying is Baila because of their Pronounciation it sounded like a different word.( And most likely wrong Pronounciation changed it's Meaning completely) and their way of Pronounciation made it sound so annoying to me. Sorry!
Because it wasn't even a song.
Completely abandoning any semblance of song structure and calling it a "new genre" didn't fool anybody.
flopped where? they sold many albums
I feel like Weeekly should have been on here. Remind you, they won rookie of the year back in 2020. After school and their debut song Tag Me did hella well on the charts. Once they release Holiday Party, their hype started declining. Once Ven Para was released people kinda stopped talking or looking into Weeekly all together.
Yeah I’m mad at IST for not doing their job when after school went viral. They could’ve been as popular as StayC if it wasn’t for their company. They also should’ve never changed their concept. However it was only for 1 comeback so I assume they’ll put it back. But if it not then it’s completely their fault and loss.
They literally won rookie of the year for nothing
To be fair Weeekly was never as famous as all 3 groups in the video, they were the true monster rookies
@@ucNguyen-wx6gd yeah
@@ucNguyen-wx6gd but they used to be known a little bit by Koreans but then they were forgotten when after school dropped the song became their one hit wonder and nameless hit
nearly gasped when they called le serrafim outdated... being 26 isnt old at all lmfao, people in gen 4 need to stop giving hate to "older" idols. idols should be older and more skilled, they shouldn't be employing children.
Agree 100%. I was also struck by them listing groups in comparison and mentioning Kep1er, in part because I feel like Queendom was not a great move. At best their participation didn't give them a boost in popularity, but at worst only hindered them. Furthermore Kep1er are a temporary group, and having a two year contract puts them at a disadvantage. I'm not saying this to spread hate, I listen to Kep1er, I like them. I just feel like the entire segment about Le Sserafim was all in bad faith. Stating that they feel closer to being a Gen 3 group is wild to me, especially given that IZ*ONE, is a Gen 4 group, so the two members whose ages they were speaking on as if they are unusually old (which they are not), have been in two 4th Gen groups. But even if they had been in a Gen 3 group, *they aren't old* and the other members are inarguably young.
This is just low-level, low effort, sometimes even malicious content. I find it almost impossible to believe that the creators are even K-pop fans at all. They clearly aren't fact checking, nor do they want to give enough details to give the full picture.
I really need to stick to UA-camrs who are making content just because they are fans of K-pop.
Sakura will never be outdate
So true they shouldn't be employong minor because new jeans and wonyoung kim garam make so many annoying noises because they debut at a young ages but iu jungkook and tzuyu debut in young age too but they never make problem something is wrong with 4 gen idol we give tooo much attention and support that they don't even deserve
@@candysofia5769 What do you mean with "they make annoying noises."?
@@whyparkjiminnotridejimin of course everyone can understand easily wonyoung is always over acting and she is a pick me girl even her group mate sometimes just laught because she wants too much attention and overly acting cringe. New jeans are all under ages they are minor but always get sexually harassed and they debut to cover garam scandal about garam I'm not in her class while things happen and we are not in same school so I can't say she is innocent or not but things go too far in every angle and all of this things are annoying i prefer red velvet and others group who can work professionally if they can't they should go and look for other job there are so many job if they can't handle they should just quiet it . It's really annoying how they act so innocent and ask protection (from fans who doesn't really know anything )with their behavior
The line up for lesserafim is really good. And it's great that most of them are overage. That's literally what should happen in kpop
yea ikr! Le Sserafim has the most perfect lineup for their ages. And in fact, the oldest Sakura and Chaewon aren't even THAT old, Sakura is 24 and Chaewon is only 22!
exactly, I don't see that as a problem, actually Newjeans are putting me off with how young they are.
@@Sara-fp3zv Yeah same..
Mhm! I was happy to see most of them being 18+
@@Sara-fp3zv Yeah, they are almost my age and to think they have to go through a harsh industry like K-pop. Crazy tbh.
In my opinion, Le Sserafim literally has one of the best Gen4 lineups ever. Like they all fit their concept well, and in fact, Sakura and Chaewon aren't even that old, they are perfect including the others!
I agree, but I feel they might be a bit weaker in vocals because of losing Garam. But again if IVE could manage with such weak vocals anyone can really lmao.
@@Sara-fp3zv just stop bring up garam's name in every situation. nothing special with garam's vocal.

Actually we can't say what will happen in future, i meant we can't say that garam won't come back in to group, if fans want her so badly company have to bring her back. This industry is based on fans & it's unpredictable. And these days lots of idols who left their groups bcs rumors are coming back in industry again & we don't know how this trend will affect to garam. Let's just wait & see. In legal criteria it's impossible but if fans can do something big to get company's attention, they have to face the truth( i meant they kicked garam out bcs fans wanted so if fans want her back in group so badly company have to face it) this is just critical thinking, not hoping or dreaming. Nothing is predictable, Nothing is impossible. But the probability of it happening is 10% & yeah there is a 90% chance that it will not happen 😕.
Le sserafim's debut album is gold. All the songs are so good. Love the sexy, chill vibe. I'm very much looking forward to their comeback.
It shouldn’t really be sexy as eunchae is in lessarifim
@@Streamjihyosolokillinmegood the concept is literally a mixture of sexy and ellegant, it doesn't matter if eunchae is in le sserafim
@@andreinapereira552 wtf so you're completely fine with a minor being sexualized?
I feel that ITZY is losing their hype is because of JYP not permitting theirs songs properly. Like everyone was aspecting a royal concept for the comeback but instead we got something completely different. I honestly like Sneakers the song itself. Its just sad that because so many people were tricked into think that ITZY’s comeback was a royal concept,so many people were blinded by anger that they immediately called Sneaker’s a bad song even before it came out
Not only that but their bsides are in a down fall too 😩
They used to be 4 gen leader when wannabe released
not flooping though , they just became a million seller with checkmate
I agree. It's the song choice, after the Wannabe era their follow up singles was a downgrade IMO.
Listen to the whole album. It was their most sold album for no reason
Lesserafim is a monster rookie and their song did well both domestically and internationally... they're gonna achieve even more success
FACTS
Yep
Their debut album is the best in kpop history
And let's wish that there cb is also good
I mean if the 1st cb isn't good the hype dies and having a great 1st cb can literally take a group to leading level
Like for example Eleven was super good But if Ive first cb wasn't as good as love dive they would ahev been half as successful
calling 24 and 22 old while stanning a group with 14 year olds is so weird lol
Yep i prefer 22 years old than a minor tho
@Gigi Herrier ??? BLACKPINK debuted around the age of 20-22 yrs old in 2016, they didn't have minors in the group when they debuted.
The comment about Lesserafim being "too old" is alarming, especially if they're being compared to New Jeans who debuted so young. The kpop industry is really harsh even for adults, people shouldn't be encouraging companies to debut literal children in such a challenging environment.
That being said, I don't think they have "lost their game", they didn't even have their first comeback yet! The fact that even their b-sides managed to gain popularity is a good sign, it indicates that the company has a clear plan for them and this will help the girls in creating their own legacy in the industry.
As for ITZY, I think the lack of a proper concept has finally got to them. Even the self-love theme isn't really a thing, they don't try to explore the subject in a different way, it's always just "who cares if I'm weird, I love myself" all over again. I've been following ITZY since their debut, I love the girls to pieces, but I'm tired of JYP not knowing what to do with them.
Regarding NMIXX, their concept is controversial, since they've been accused of plagiarizing basically half the industry. But hey, at least they _have_ a concept! JYP just needs have a clear plan for how they want their concept to develop, and I believe the girls will be fine. The same statement also applies for their music.
(Sorry for any mistake, English is not my first language ^^"
Please keep in mind that these are just my opinions! I don't hate any of the girls and I wish a successfull carreer to everyone of them 💗 )
I agree
i feel they should raise the age for debut....15-16 is still to young, these are children participating in a harsh harsh unforgiving industry. New Jeans, they look so so young....i think they should make sure the ones who debut, that when they debut have already finished high school at least (be 18 years).
@@stannnleee3440 Yeah, I also think that they shouldn't allow children under 14/15 (at least) to be trainees.
The problem is that debuting people that young is convenient for the companies: the youngest of NewJeans is 14, when the 7-year contract will expire she will only be 21, therefore more likely to resign. Plus, a chunk of the public is weirdly obsessed with younger idols...
I fear that, unless some new laws against child labor get out, agencies won't stop exploiting minors. Sadly :(
Itzy hasn’t had any less of a consistent concept than Aespa (ex) so I can’t agree. Itzy’s very last korean comeback was the only one that has deviated from their usual vibe/concept & was intended to be more light & fun. My favorite style of theirs that I hope they continue making songs using in the future include: Mafia, Swipe, Wannabe & Loco.
@@bobafrost7366 yes
Nmixx really has that vocals and talents we are looking for but jyp needs to give them good songs that can change the game
Lesserafim had an amazing debute as much as I love the their bsides, and sour grapes was so beautiful
Itzy has still so much to show their talents is amazing
I think these are just mere assumptions i believe these group are doing amazing and they can do great I hope the company treats them fairly 😪
Le Serrafim being hated for being """old"" is so disgusting for me. Otherwise, the scandals part make sense.
I dont like Itzy's new vibe but love to see them performing though.
@@gabdongipark tbh sneakers was not upto my expectations that I had after seeing the teaser photos but up until now I love their songs like loco and dalla dalla etc I can't deny that
And about lesserafim being old my God these people they have problem with young idols debuting like new jeans and they also have problems with a bit older idols , that is hypocrisy
Lesserafim can't help with their age, that you can be sympathized with. However, NMIXX and ITZY are just straight up bad management, especially NMIXX, the DICE comeback just hit the final nail in the coffin....Once TWICE time is over, JYP will have nothing.....They need to take that Leader of Entertainment off their logo because they straight up not deserve it.
@@davidchieu Lesserafim cannot do much with their age but we can accept the fact that Sakura is 24-25 and that there is nothing wrong with that. She debuted three time and so what? She does not deserve hate for that.
I think that mmixx debut too earl honestly and that ITZY should had been more established. ITZY blahblahblah is very cool to me. Dice is okay but they will not become Rookie of the year with that and that is fine.
@@gabdongipark the thing is, sakura is female.. u know korea. They love young women. Companies put more effort to young female idols young = longer career = more money.
I think Le Sserafim has a high chance of redeeming their popularity with their new comeback this October. Their quality in music and music is on a level above the current Kpop standard. I predict their first comeback will be very well received. They have an expensive, powerful and successful aura.
Itzy was hugely popular in Korea When they were rookies but after they dropped their HighTeen concept lots of Koreans lost interest.
Esp. after Sneakers

also i hate how groups are immediately seen as flops when they dont break records like cant singers just make songs their fans enjoy without it having to be a battle on how many records get broken
Acting like a lot of the popular groups didn’t start from the bottom
fr
That's why KPOP is not about music anymore, it's just "charts", "wins", especially "views". Or maybe it wasnt about music afterall since the beginning? I dont really see many genuine fans anymore these days, unlike it used to in 2009 2010. Maybe I'm wrong🤷♀️
I feel like netizens are so quick to judge, they fail to see that girl groups have not been doing well for years. We look at BTS/Seventeen/NCT/Exo/TXT/Ateez/Enhyphen all selling a million albums for 1 album and girl groups just did not reach that milestone. Things finally started to turn ard when Itzy and Aespa came about and we should be celebrating that more girl groups are selling more albums rather than calling them a flop just cause they’re not #1.
@@between1218 not you naming million sellers and forgeting first and only 4th gen double million seller stray kids. Someone is bitter here ig.
Le Serrafim are fine. They need time off so that the heat that came with the Garam scandal to cool down.
Their comeback will be bomb.
Netizens are trying to say if you went to a survival show you're supposed to give up on your dream after? Bullshit!
but, why on earth lesserafim is here? as long as they can maintain to release good songs, they'll stand out and even higher! tbh, i'm quite disagree with this one. bc for me, the only minus point they have is just garam's controversy. i believe, if there's no scandal, fearless will chart higher. also, we have yunjin and chaewon with their amazing vocals, also we have sakura and kazuha who are great dancers. and don't forget abt whole group's stage presence.
I mean their debut song was very "safe" (boring) and it came with a shit ton of scandals so I understand why they'd be here. They got the fame because the members are ex-izone, but IVE is doing way better anyway, then we have the fame they got for being the first girl group under bighit, them we have Newjeans being under Hybe and killing it. It seems like all the reasons for their fame exist in groups that are performing better at the moment, so who know if they would continue to gain public interest.
They had a scandal and if it wasn’t for that they could’ve been even more popular

6:42 that's ridiculous. They're not "too old", Le Sserafim have almost the perfect age to debut (minus Eunchae, but she's the only minor), NewJeans should not be the new "standart" when it comes from age to debut.
I agree they're young.....I think the other groups are debuting so young
Exactly- it’s not that Lesserafim is too old it’s that New Jeans is too young :/
Right new jeans concept is actually fitting for age 20, because it have this it girls kind of vibe
Feels weird stanning Young girls even more having crush on them or choosing them as an ideal type
K-pop industry has an obsession with young idols. It's just idol being under aged is perfect to them. Recently almost every company you can see idols debuting at 14 or 15 years old. This is the so called k- standard. So don't drag new jeans always. New Jeans isn't the only one out there and it's the company's fault to debut these younger idols this much early.
@@iftida2005 there’s other issues with new jeans, including their creative producer having pictures of child abuse and sexualizing other underage K-pop idols she has worked with. So yes other companies are doing it and it’s wrong but in new jeans case they are directly involved with someone that is known to display predatory actions.
Well for LE SSERAFIM,they will never drop in my opinion, but for NMIXX,I'm a bit worried. But since they're making their comeback they would gain much more popularity.
That's if their comeback is actually good.
nmixx are good and super talented
I reserve my judgement at this point...both groups just having released their debut. But i think Nmixx has the easier task at hand. Since the bar they set with the Debut isn't that high, they have more opportunity to surprise. Le Ssserafim on the other hand has higher expectations to meat.
I hate it that they had to comeback just days after blackpink straykids and nct127!!??? It should be pushed back atleast 2weeks after to catch peoples attention

Le sserafim still doing quite well even after Kim garam tho .. their variety shows are really funny and if fans start seeing their charming personalities they will def have a stable fandom and their music is good too like sour grapes 🍇 was really good not just the title tracks.
I totally agree with nmixx but lessarafim is a rookie monster. Lessarafim's kazuha is also a contender for 4th gen K-pop visuals.
nmixx's sullyoon is also a famous visual
I dont see why being a visual is one of the criteria for being a rookie monster... but they did have a good debut.
@@busybody5381 Lol yeah only visual won't make you rookie monster it's just K-pop and most of the K-pop fans are more into visual rather than singing and dancing. K-pop isn't about music anymore.

wtf so they pressed that lesserafim members arent as young as newjeans members??? yall them knetz have this weird obsession with minors debuting
Lesserafim age line just PERFECT for debut
NMIXX's TANK wasn't that bad, especially with the choreography, but both of their songs don't represent the best of NMIXX's capabilities (for example, they have a lot of strong vocalists, but apart from Lily, we only hear them screaming), and O.O is just too messy. As for ITZY, their music is okay just kinda plain and predictable (them playing on the safe side). It turns out that nothing (new) can be expected from ITZY, and something even worse can be expected from NMIXX.
JYP playing 2 ends of the extreme with them lol
@@Sara-fp3zv yeah it looks like both production teams screwed up... it's a pity because the girls are really talented: ITZY has great dancers and stage presence, NMIXX has powerful vocalists and also a great stage presence, but both groups simply don't have the material to show it off well...
That’s the point of the song O.O is what is yet to come, the different genre of music in o.o was to show how they can change their music and how versatile they can be
It wasn't bad it was very bad
@@Yourmumsfavourite. I think everyone would've appreciated it more if they released separate title tracks instead of whatever they did. They could show versatility without it being badly produced/mixed.

I feel like they're losing popularity. Just a personal pov. I'm not saying that kep1er can't shine in future or something but it's just I really hope they will be popular like their debut times!
I think Kep1er will follow a similar road than izone in international success (only talking about international because there's a gap between Izone and Kep1er in terms of success in Korea) : Both their debuts were pretty hyped and then their comebacks will have less hype but will be steady from one to another (they will keep being constant in popularity 'till the disband)

*My personal favorites from the New Gen GGs:🌸🌸*
*LE SSERAFIM & NEW JEANS - they give off a sassy, fresh vibe, not your ordinary kpop girlgroup and I love -from a pioneer SONE since 2007 & a baby ReveLuv*
yep, and y'all will continue to hear a lot about those 2 groups in the future
Saying LS fell off makes no sense given that their debut title track peaked weeks after Garam left the group and the song is still charting well in Korea even months after. Twice is still behind Fearless on the daily charts.
"Too old" I'm just gonna dig a hole and jump in, debuting when you're 20 or 20+ is the PERFECT age to debut, you're an adult, actually has life experience and you know what you're signing up for when you become an idol, these CHILDREN don't.
What they see is a glamorous life, people adoring them and amazing performances, they don't realize what happens behind the scenes often are inhumane and its not something a CHILD is mentally prepared to go through
yes Lesserafim really has that vocals and talents
I can't bring myself to understand how could people like Sneakers more than Loco... cmon
Same, Loco is a thoroughly entertaining song and MV. Sneakers...felt like a weird purposefully cloying kids charity infomercial.
I always thought that ITZY is Queen 👑 of the 4th generation GG
The industry and netizens are SUCH hypocrites. They bash Le sserafim for having older members who are literally 22 year old girls since they are "too old" but then again bash NewJeans coz they are too young. And it is actually refreshing to see a grp like Seerafim where all the members have same level of talent and produce not so loud dance oriented music. And about Garam we all know how it turned out.
LESSERAFIM my girls gonna slay the comeback 🔥.
I think Lesserafim will be fine when they have their comeback. Yes I think loosing a member during promotions definitely hurt the group. Now they can comeback and establish themselves as a solid 5 member group. Side note … Garham was done wrong. The hate and death threats she got for defending her friend when she was 12 was a disgrace. Anyone who cyber bullied her should be ashamed. As for Nmixx … they have all the talent, they just need to settle on a sound and maybe showcase their vocal skills more… their new comeback does a better job of that. Itzy just seems to be underwhelming on their songs as of late. It’s not like they are bad songs.. they are catchy .. but they don’t have long term stay appeal. But no doubt IVE, Aespa, and New Jeans are the top groups in 4th gen.
With their album sales of over 1 million, you said ITZY’s comeback is a flop? You must be joking 🙃
Itzy are not doing well domestically but the race still in it. Internationally, they are really huge.if your basis of being flop is Korean chart, don’t come to itzy cause they are really doing well and still the queen of 4th gen
Isnt it a bit contradictinf when you mentioned lesserafim has many produce48 participants, but IVE similarly has 2 of them. So i guess it is not that far off between these two
This is absurd! Calling ITZY flopped when WANNABE still holds the most viewed mv, dance practice, and audio on YouYube. (4th gen)
They also hold the most liked mv of a 4th gen gg.
Wannabe still holds the most streamed 4th gen song on Spotify.
Also, loco being nominated at the VMA proves that they are relevant in the western market.
Dalla Dalla still remains as the 4th gen song with the most unique listeners on Mel0n, Genie, Flo, and Vibe.
Itzy joining BTS, Blackpink, and Aespa for having 100M views on their audio here on UA-cam.
Lastly, ITZY still hold the most music show wins in 4th gen.
yes girl preach them.
Right, where they get off saying that?
It was past.after not shy they began to flopping
@@greenapples3449 Still, nobody in this generation has beat the records that I have mentioned.😉
Because they have more years...
Jyp thought after copying snsd , he could copy sm songs and have succes... thankfully his ear is not working properly because seeing him succeed after stealing one of SM main points would have been annoying for me. Hope he gives the girls a nice song 🎵 they deserve it.
I'm not fan of le serafim (Don't know how to write the name) but the age is really good, like I hope more groups can debut with that lineup of ages, if you debut a minor with an adult that minor can have more guidance and maybe is less exposed to negativity
From what I’ve seen in the 4th gen idols, because of constant rise of new groups debuting, there is also a constant fall. This generation is so oversaturated. Add to that is the fans’ obsession with perfection that many groups can’t keep up. I miss the past generations in where it’s only pure music and fans enjoy them and don’t demand them. In the case of ITZY, when they were said to be doing the same thing, they tried to try something different then get bashed for it. Then when they came back to their roots, they were said they don’t grow. Most of the times, it were the fans who dictate the what the group should be or what their sound should be that there’s not enough growth for all these groups. That’s why it is refreshing for groups such as RV, BTS, GOT7, BIGBANG, EXO, MAMAMOO, etc. because they do it for music and not because of their fans telling them what sound should they be. And I hope this is also what the companies to keep in mind, and fans to realize.
It’s so true that 4th gen is so oversaturated. Also part of the problem is that many of these larger music companies are producing multiple groups at the same time (e.g. hard for ITZY and particularly NMIXX to get quality songs when Twice is still with JYP). This is why a group like STAYC, while coming from a start up company but has the renowned producer BEP, can have their own signature sound and overall good quality music that reminds people of 2nd/3rd gen gg music.
ITZY literally has hundreds of millions of views on their M/Vs, wth do these netizens mean they're a failure?? 😭😭
ITZY were a blast and are still no one can replace them, new groups entering the competitive industry doesn't means ITZY will lose they are just preparing to become the brightest star again and for forever, NMIXX have weird sounds in their song but I think they have that party vibe and I like it, lesserafim have to go a long way but I think and believe they gonna bring something new to the table😊😊
Itzy will never go down. EVER
Kpop fans are ridiculous. New Jeans is too young but Le Serrafin is too old🤦. Also the only one of these groups that should be on the list is Nmixx. The rest are still doing good.
Normalising debuting a 14 year old and calling a 24 year too old to debut ... netizens have lost it
Are you faking kidding me! 22 is too old?
Le sserafim concept is being fearless, and pls can u think how if the group just under 17 at all, the fearless concept wont work cuz they still shy, think twice, couldn't work on outfits that proof theyre fearless and choreo. Putting such proper age member really works along w eunchae that has personality of being fearless
Le Sserafim and Itzy have no place on this list. NMIXX unfortunately has yet to pop due to poorly received songs. NMIXX has it all they just need to find the right sound. NewJeans is the perfect example of the opposite scenario. Debuting with the right song and concept is super important. NewJeans concept feels organic, carefully planned, and well executed. JYPE seems to be just going for shock value with NMIXX.
#LeSserafim shouldn't be in this video as loosing their heat that's your opinion alone
Itzy went to a heavy promotion? LOL, Sneakers were barely two weeks promoted. And please, Sneakers is still on the TOP 10 charts, despite of not having "any" promotions.
I think Lesserafim is going to hold up well, the group has a very good concept and their songs are cool.
NMIXX can survive if JYP fixes the debut mess it gave them. I mean, there are a lot of people who liked their debut, but I personally don't think they can sustain success with that concept over time.
Now, speaking of Itzy, this really worries me. The last comeback was so bad that I couldn't believe what I was hearing, they took them completely away from their essence and not in a good way. Changing musical style or concept is not bad, but every group is supposed to have an identity, JYP didn't respect that and the result was the Sneakers disaster.
1. Honestly, LESSERAFIM hasn't even been a year in the industry, so you can't say that they've already fallen off lol- Each group has its own concept, and I really hope people don't do the whole 'Girl Crush' trend again after Newjeans debut and start making music similar to Newjeans or LESSERAFIM. LESSERAFIM is chic, elegant, simple, and luxurious, while Newjeans is high teen, crafty, and coming of age in their concepts, so don't compare them, they're not even in the same company either.
2. The age thing is disgusting! What's the difference between having a young adult and a kid debut? They're both talented but don't ever put young idols in this industry it's toxic and disgusting people want literal children to debut.
3. I personally liked NMIXX's O.O at first (Because I'm an AESPA stan and I'm used to song changes), but after listening to it for a while it became nauseating and I stopped hearing it or if I did, I'd only listen to the 'superhero' part of the song. I don't like the song anymore, but I think they were trying to do SM's special switch, but it just...didn't work. Newjeans did this very well, taking some of SM's vibes and giving their own unique spin on it, that's why it's really good and unique to the ears since SM's artists tend to have really unique and eye-catching songs.
4. I'm not sure why people were and still are calling ITZY '4th Gen queens' when they didn't have any competition. There were no Big 3 groups of that gen, so it makes sense they would dominate. I think they'll never hit the success of Dalla Dalla again, nor ICY. Icy and Dalla Dalla were considered (and still is) the best ITZY songs, but they just ran out of things to do and honestly, I forget about them all the time-
Itzy just became JYPs first girl group to sell one million physical albums. Do your research. They are not falling off.
Monster rookies are nothing but jokes backed up by their company
Real talent are idols who are consistent and write/compose their own damn songs
Waaaaait…waaait…wait a minute. So…the members of leserrafim are now TOO OLD to debut??? The same people complaining about Wonyoung debuting TOO YOUNG are now saying Sakura and Chaewon are TOO OLD?? It’s so blatantly clear that these new “fans” that have arisen from this recent kpop popularity trend aren’t genuine fans. They are hear to bash, berate, nitpick, and negatively judge tf out of a wonderful industry (yes they can work on some aspects but change doesn’t happen overnight and we can still support and love this industry that has given us so many amazing idols, groups, songs, choreographies, and overall performances while still being aware that there are parts to make even better) and it’s even more painfully clear by the rest of the leSerrafim critique. So…it’s a patchy group?? ….🤪🤔🧐So every contestant from competition shows that didn’t get to debut or debuted in now disbanded groups should be tossed aside by the road and forgotten? What kind of warped, negative af, hateful way of thinking is that? That doesn’t sound like any kpop fans that I’ve been around for the past 5 or so years since I discovered kpop (btw…I mostly listen to punk, alternative, and 90s hip hop. That’s the power of kpop) it sounds more like hateful xenophobes looking to nitpick tf out of anything non-Western nations are succeeding at. We never had this many videos bashing kpop until some groups innocently went over to the US to promote and now BAM, video after videoooo bashing kpop, idols, and even SKorea as a whole. What is happening? Please be more tolerant of other cultures. Stop looking at the world through a Western lens. As for leserrafim, I’m not even a big fan yet since I’ve only heard a couple of songs but I can still defend them against asinine criticism. I think it’s wonderful that the company gave Sakura, Chaewon, and Yujin another opportunity to debut and be an idol because they’re so talented. Why on earth would you view them as washed up by age 22-24….what? I don’t see this type of critique being thrown at IVE?.. a group with two Izone members as well. Right? So it’s just applicable to groups that are disliked? That’s what having double standards means and it’s gross to witness. Please stop the kpop bashing. I know it’s apparently trendy nowadays but it’s not okay. If you’re not a fan..go watch videos of music you enjoy. It’s that simple. If you do choose to listen to kpop then please become better acquainted with Korean culture because the ignorance and xenophobia needs to stop. It was never like this before. Phewwww sorry for the essay but this is necessary to say. ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
The fact that they are saying le sserafim girls are "too old" is so disgusting
like seriously why are they so obsessed with seeing underage girls dancing around in short outfits?? ☠☠☠
too old? LEESERAFIM’s ages are the ages an idol should have to debut especially with their sexy concept
I don't think ITZY should be in this list. While it's true that ITZY started out soooo big, they are very consistent in their releases after that. Their charts and sales records are not low (JYP Million seller, y'all). Their performances are always ON TOP. In fact, their Unique Listeners on korean music streams (Sneakers Era) are considered high and can actually compete to the other groups out there.
duhhhh le sserafim never the lose of kpop 4th gen girl group they always slay and they still charted of the song FEARLESS le sserafim is one of the successfull 4th girl group that debuted even though the hate they got but still they gave their successful debut, my girls is one of the best 4th gen girl group!!!
'old' is how people describe LSSRFM? It makes sense since companies are out here debuting elementary students. Don't tell me the younger the better because Miss Irene from RV debuted at 22 and Miss Jisoo debuted at 21. These two are arguably the most popular and recognizable idols in the game. So no, younger isn't always better.
Le sserfirm is doing very well in Korea and international.
Itzy and Nmixx in my opinion are great groups, but their recent song releases are just not doing it for me. La Sserafim tho, I think their debut would be huge if not for the bullying scandal of one of the members. It's not right to call someone a flop, music is subjective, but we can't deny the fact that other groups like Ive, Aespa, and New Jeans are ahead and leading.
When a group loses a member, it impacts their careers A LOT. A huge example is Secret Number that were completely buried after losing Denise, but because Le Sserafim is from a big company with individually popular members, they would most likely survive.
@@Sara-fp3zv yeah they could’ve been popular as StayC and Cignature too
Yeah...the fact they are under Source Music doesn't help matters either.
I’m glad they lost Garam. She made the group look bad. Bullying shouldn’t be tolerated. 😗
@@drialovessakura4584 she was not a bully. She was proven innocent. She said everything on Instagram. Apparently the real bully lied and so did Hybe. After what happened to her and Leo formerly of Trainee A I think i can never trust them to do their job right again.
Newjeans and IVE entered Spotify US, something both Itzy and aespa failed to do and aespa and Itzy have US promo and target the west and release on Friday to chart on US Charts but still can’t achieve the same success.. if ive and newjeans continue releasing good music they’re gonna be the biggest 4th gen girl groups ive sold 1M and newjeans 530k both groups Chart well in Korea, both groups chart very well internationally both groups have good music 🤷🏽♀️
I dont think they(ive and nj) are gonna be the biggest 4th gen gg where they lack talent compared to aespa, itzy, nmixx, kepler, lessarafim etc..........they are now popular only because of visuals not talent........nj are popular because they are coming from hybe while ive contain 2, former izone members.....
@@Sooya_arena Nwjns and Ive are popular cuz of their songs not only visuals. Other groups also have great visuals.
So Aespa beating westerners in billboard and ranking first in billboard album and 3rd in billboard and 1 in iTunes... didn't achieve success? Hhhh joke of the year, maybe itzy but definitely not aespa
@@Sooya_arena in kpop it doesn't matter how talented a group is, if they don't have good songs they just won't be successful. E.g. love dive and attention are objectively better songs than O.O and the charts/streams/music show wins prove that. If nmixx are given better songs then they could definitely be more successful than they are
@@Sooya_arena hello, u think NJs popular because coming from Hype LOL, Don't show your understanding here
Le Sserafim is like TXT, the Bighit girl group meanwhile New Jeans is like Enhypen, under a different company. I think Source Music is only for girl groups and is looked after by Bang Si Hyuk. Meanwhile New Jeans is by Min Heejin. He created BTS and TXT so how can they flop?
le sserafim are THOSE girls. no matter what
For me gen 4 GG who's maintained their spot:
1. ITZY
2. Aespa
3. IVE
The others start to sinking slowly. Not mentioning New Jeans and Le Sserafim since they just debut.
I think if Iz*one still a group they probably still one of the top 3 gg for gen 4
I really feel bad for Nmixx. They should have been one of the highlights of 4th gen gg. Ive never been a stan of JYP gg before but i am so impressed by Nmixx's vocals ability. Compared to other 4th gen gg who gain popularity among koreans, Nmixx really are top tier in terms of vocals and stage presence. Those gg which are more popular among knetz sounds so mediocre compared to Nmixx if we compare the vocals alone. It seems knetz nowdays are looking at other factors too besides vocals ability.
visuals
Well they are idols and not professional singer for a reason.
Don't be surprised, this channel has always talked shit about LESSERAFIM
Calling Le Serrafim too old is so disrespectful. They are not even 25, this ageism disgust me
Lesserafim are clearly one of the leading 4th gen group imo. They could be the next Red Velvet in terms of discography quality and status and even surpass them in term of popularity and relevance if source music manages them good
why are people saying le sserafim feels like third gen solely because of sakura, chaewon and yunjin when izone is considered 4th gen?
i also think it's way too early to tell for nmixx and lsrf, we need to see their upcoming comebacks. they've yet to cement themselves in the industry but i'm not scared for lsrf at all since they have a fun glamour concept and some good, catchy songs, i'm worried for nmixx since their comeback track "dice" is said to be of the same style as o.o (mixx pop) and we all know how that turned out.
Isn't it obvious that bebossTV doesn't like the seraphim and likes Ive more?
Funny how you mentioned Le Sserafim here 😂
Is it just me or do people jump around with girl groups so much lately? Like first Itzy were 4th gen leaders, and then people turned on them, then StayC and Aespa rose, but their latest comebacks didn't chart as well as their prior ones. Lesserafim had hype and then people flipped over to NewJeans, and now NewJeans and Ive are the it groups. Like eventually all groups lose interest but the speed at which it's been lately is insane lol. Who knows who it'll be next year lmao.
6:45 netizens are such hypocrites. They'll bash the company for debuting idols at a young age (14,15) and when the company debuts idols who are above 18 They'll label them as "OLD".
