“Could’ve gone to second but the winch is safer” - That line right there says a lot about the attitudes and respect you guys have for the scenery and gear. Another belter episode 👌
There’s dad and I setting up as well. We did stay the full weekend. Did get wet and we did manage to stay warm. Woke up the Sunday morning and it was clear Sunny sky.
Always enjoy your vids and this was fun. Liked the way you made the best of the camping opportunities, shelter and cover, plus showing the landscapes etc. Good wheelin' in the mud!
Great vid fellas, will be good to head your way next year for a trip! Would be good to have you guys show us around! Also, the mud, sideways shot was sick! Liam good to see. Patty unfortunately 33" these days just dont cut it on the tracks, diffing out will always be a problem 😢 everyone doing these tracks is minimum 35's. Thinking were going to run 37's for fun tyres on the patrol in the G005 😅
Brilliant road trip boys. Excellent viewing as always. Little Murray is my fav campground in the Barrington. And the locals (brumbies and Kangaroos) never fails to say hello each time. Thanks for taking us along. 👍
boys you have done it again.another top notch video.the scenery in this one is just unbeatable, magnifcant waterfalls.Liams ute so far has shown what a great job he did building it.what maps do u use to find these great spots?so keep up the good work ,look forward to seeing more of your travels.👍👍👍.
Great video Some might think this is a pedantic point, but sledge hammering the back end of your hatchet head will shorten its life, the sides over time will deform & the stock will dislodge. If the hatchet is not doing the job then it means you need a full sized axe. & for that reason I just take a full-size axe with me. I guess if it is a cheap hatchet most wont care, but regardless of the cost of the tool I would rather it last & spend the $15-$30 on something else. There is no reason why even a cheap hatchet or axe can't last almost a life time if looked after properly.
Even a small saw can cut that. Cut as deep as you can normally, then cut wedges out either side of your first cut to make room for the saw to fit in deeper. It's slow work, but its possible. It's also why I carry a Stihl 660 Magnum with a 25" bar on it. If that can't clear a tree from the road, then it's clearly run out of 2 stroke fuel.
Correct call to leave chainsaw outa sight, not smart admitting you're carrying one though. Yes it can be done but isn't Barrington Tops a NSW National Park? Twas the last time I looked hence Absolutely Illegal to carry a chain saw let alone utilise it. I totally disagree with that ruling when it comes to clearing tracks, but yobbos cut even green timber for firewood hence the stance, no chainsaws in NSW N/P's. If the boys videoed utilising a saw, well what would have been the outcome when complaints were forwarded to N/P's, unfortunately far too many do gooder Greenies out there, the ones that just turn their noses up to the destruction feral pigs cause, if we trashed the bush as these pigs do we'd be locked up, but it's a cute animal, RIGHT.
I go to Ellenborough Falls when I am up there for work. Once or twice a year, great spot, I have done the climb with 2 year old on my chest, not great.
Another bloody cracking episode boys 👌 whats the track name where you had to winch the 80 before getting caught out by that bjg tree over the track. Thanks
keen to see now pat if u change to 35s due to haveing a few trips now where the 33s despite the heavy car haev been the deciding factor for not making it up some things. maek me question if i wanna get 305/70r16 33-12.5 tyres or go 315 ( 35s ) currently on 285 same as u
Nice road trip in the mountains ✔️ boys glad you experienced the bogholes. But a lesson to be learnt four You. 2 Stroke Chain Saw's are "Kings". Electric 👎
@@Vollwurst1 l run a Stihl Ms170 on my trips in the high country cuts fallen Big tree's across the track's (through the Winter) l doubt with 2 Batteries would last cutting one side. As they Say,, Horse's for courses.
@tadeuszmichaelwlodarczyk3120 you'd be pleasantly surprised how long they're running on a charge. Alot of arborists I know use them nowadays because they are a lighter but don't lack grunt. And they're quiet, which is amazing.
@tadeuszmichaelwlodarczyk3120 they're 36 volt and there's 3 different batteries. When I've used them, it was the odd here and there few trees and mostly bushes and the battery lasted me all day. Stihl says on their website for their top tier battery on their smallest e saw option it'll run for about an hour and about 20 minutes for their lowest tier battery
@ianweal3081 ok didn't know it was in a NP but going off what they said, sounds like they still need to do a course or get some training from an arborist because there are plenty of places you can clear a track and do it with a small saw to a big tree down. I never go 4wding, camping or touring without one because it can ruin a trip having to turn back or find alternative route.
Twas the correct call leaving the chainsaw out of sight, not a smart thing to admit you're carrying one though, totally illegal to carry one let alone utilise a chainsaw in NSW N/P. I don't agree with the practice, should be allowed to clear tracks as in Victoria but unfortunately yobbos cutting timber, both green & dry seasoned for camp fires caused this stance in NSW.
Ah mate,, the stuff I see about you yobbos supposedely driving 4wd vehicles on the muddy slopes is amazin... When we used to do this in Tassie years ago we learned that chains were the way to go..... this playing in the mud with normal tyres is stupid!!!!
Just checking Paddy, that you don’t like the brumbies? Yes they are feral, however, they are a cultural icon and are blamed for damage they don’t actually do. Pigs and deer do heaps more damage. Keep up the awesome blogs.
Awesome to meet you yesterday, Patrick, at the Sydney 4x4 Show. We took our viewers up to Little Murray Campground last month as well. Thanks for inspiring us to start our channel six months ago! ua-cam.com/video/SutP6V2a2A8/v-deo.htmlsi=WhxyBIzfIJPQpgbF
Nice and sloppy up there. Mud is one thing I avoid at all costs as I don't have a winch and the clean up is a mongrel not to mention the damage it does to your vehicle.
What a ripper episode boys, Went back and tried to watch the "other 4wd Chanel" the one who forced you to take down a video, But as lame as this sounds im over them just constantly making disgusting reference to sexual stuff and constantly on about beers, im here for 4WD content not porn hub lol
“Could’ve gone to second but the winch is safer” - That line right there says a lot about the attitudes and respect you guys have for the scenery and gear. Another belter episode 👌
Keen to see more of this place in your next round trip. Hopefully you get better weather
Videos like this are the capstone to my week
Hey guys, I love how you add the brumbies, but they are very important to our heritage and it's mostly pigs and deer destroying the parks.. ❤
There’s dad and I setting up as well. We did stay the full weekend. Did get wet and we did manage to stay warm. Woke up the Sunday morning and it was clear Sunny sky.
That first clip is wicked, love the rig more and more every time i see it liam
Thanks my young friends. My wife and I visited Ellenborough Falls in 1981 - no steps in those days, it was a scramble track, LOL.
That’s me in the background at little Murray’s campsite 😂
Great video of our backyard, we love living here… good to watch!!
Thanks mate!
Great trip guys , spewing about the weather but seems it was still a great time 👍👍. Thanks
Always enjoy your vids and this was fun. Liked the way you made the best of the camping opportunities, shelter and cover, plus showing the landscapes etc. Good wheelin' in the mud!
Great video boys, u certainly put out great content, loving it and not advertising or flogging shit, appreciate you not flogging out the tracks

thanks for taking us on your trip lads.
Little Murrays is without a doubt the best campground up the tops.
That episode was just awesome. Looking forward to getting my own SUV so I to can travel and experience what you old blokes do.
ANother great episode guys thank you. It was great to meet you Pat at the Sydney 4wd show on Friday.
Some incredible spots there!
Always enjoy your vids guys. Well done. Steve🇦🇺
Great video boys! Stoked seeing you guys in one of my favourite regions
Epic series lads. Cane toad country ain't to bad a place. Cheers for the ride along boys.
Don't think of them as scratches. Think of them as memory's and story's off all the awesome places you've been.
3:14 That looks rock hard...but clearly it's a cold day.
Great video

@ianweal3081 even the greenies recognise the damage pigs have done, they're pretty universally regarded as a danger to the environment
Saw you today at the Sydney 4WD show! I wasn't able to drop in and say g'day coz you were getting smashed by other fans, but thanks for your videos :)
Great video guys, will have to check out that waterfall
Ripper episode guys. You're making me regret driving past here!
Hahaha. Can see one of my stickers on the fence panel there.
Circular one just to the right of the large Blue one
You boys need to come and do the tassie tracks
Awesome episode as always
Fantastic video boys, Pity Dan wasn't there to enjoy it with you
Yeah boys !!!
I go to Ellenborough Falls when I am up there for work. Once or twice a year, great spot, I have done the climb with 2 year old on my chest, not great.
If you have a 3" or 4" lift on an 80 Series, 35" tyres look just right
Happy trails, Cowpokes
Another bloody cracking episode boys 👌 whats the track name where you had to winch the 80 before getting caught out by that bjg tree over the track. Thanks
Crab walking you maddog!
You guys planning to hit the Lithgow area on your way south?
What is brand/model of that cellphone holder you boys both use? I am looking for a good one to replace mine and that one looks the ticket for me.
This video is sick keep up the great work
Cheers mate!

Does your bedding get wet when u pack the roof top tent up wet
Go to the glass house mountains!
they have already. And Glasshouse redtrack has been bulldozed/graded now.
Nice road trip in the mountains ✔️ boys glad you experienced the bogholes. But a lesson to be learnt four You. 2 Stroke Chain Saw's are "Kings". Electric 👎
Mate you've never run a stihl electric. They keep up with everything similar size petrol with ease...if you've got 2 batteries that is

Time for a chainsaw course boys. That would be easily clearable with a smaller than the log petrol powered saw once you have the know how 💪🤙
Illegal, Barrington Tops is a NSW N/P.

When u pack up wet does the internal rooftop get wet. Ie bedding
3;20 surely you have a photo of Liam laying down under the rock sideway with the rock protruding??
When you guys drove into Gloucester the clouds in the sky looked toxic and putrid…. Never seen a sky like that before
It’s like fake clouds
Pat should go 35s
You guys found the real rocky knob
Yep, mud means maintenance
Because of Scone the Horse capital it's been a nightmare for a long time up there.
yeah 24/7 showed that rock ages ago
Sick

What no chainsaw ???
Hey Patrick and Liam, are you guys going to buy a small tinny to go river/sea fishing.
They definitely should been thinking this for ages too
great trip. You blokes have had your fair share of crap weather though
