I am no expert , just old. When I see that wear pattern I think shocks/suspension not rotation.
It actually has more to do with the alignment… As I mentioned in the video the rotation would just slow the process down… Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
I have a brand new bronco. Now with 25k miles. And she shakes, that's because I never rotated tires. And that was my mistake. This is whit factory tires
I agree the shocks are worn and the tires move up and down while driving, that’s were that noise comes from. Should replace shocks every 50k
Shocks are usually the culprit when you see cupping like that, not usually alignment. If you had higher wear on the inside or outside of the tire, that's more indicative of an alignment issue. Though, I suppose a really bad caster or toe could make your shocks perform badly.
Why not just rotate the fronts to the back and let them even out?
I probably could have, but with winter coming up at that point I just said screw it…haha…I actually did keep the two rears and set them in the garage for future use
I got a set 3 yrs ago, not sure how many miles but a lot. 35x10.5r17. Daily driver on my 2dr jeep jk. Been to FL from NH and NJ twice once in a nasty downpour this summer. Still got plenty of tread to get me through winter before I’ll need another set. I off-road with them and have had amazing experiences with them. Hard to go to something different. Wanted to try the MT but don’t have it in the D rating like the RT. So sure I’ll be sticking with RT. Amazing tire, highly recommend
Just got my klever RTs delivered today! 33s shipped to my door for $912. Sadly seems like prices have gone up for all tires unfortunately. Still a good deal in my eyes

Irony...I'm in NEPA also (Carbondale)...I have around 60k (bought Nov 2018) on mine, ran then on an FJ, and now my 4Runner!! I need new ones now tho and they're unavailable anywhere.
I grew up in Scranton!…my wife and I moved to the back mountain now but yea, Carbondale was like 35 mins from the old house…small world!…yea that’s another reason I bought the new set, when I found em in stock I said screw it I’m grabbin em…if I come across any in stock I’ll let ya know!
Throw the front ones on the back and they smooth out some what I did works fine you should get 15 K at least out of them
I thought about doing that but just said screw it, I’ll replace em with winter coming up anyway…I did keep the old set, im gonna put a full size spare up under truck
Did you ever have an issue balancing? Did you use weights or beads? Just put mine on and they are shaking a lot. Going back to shop
I did the exact same thing with my cooper rugged treks... Got lazy and didnt rotate the last couple oil changes also. Didnt think much of it at the time. And now my fronts are worn funny. Lower on the inside just like yours. Vibrations. Noisy. Had my alignmemt checked and it was fine. Now im replacing them after only like 40k.... Learned a expensive lesson
Got 33x12.50R20 kendas for my 09 silverado for a year now. Took them on 2 long trips and I've been impressed. Road noise minimal they still look brand new and when it's time to change I'll most likely go kenda again

What size lift do you have? Went with a 2 inch rough country strut lift. Hopefully they clear even it’s a very minor rubbing I’d be fine just not aggressive rubbing

Ya my boss and supervisor have and swear to these tires for years now. After a year of him having the LT285/70/17s on a desial calorado always pulling pumps and equipment they still looked new he's had the same tires for 2 years now since the new truck tread half way gone. Boss has 35x12.5x22 just put on a new ram we will see how long those low pros last. I'm probably going to get the 33x10.50R17 for my new 2021 ford ranger fx4 got a 2.5" leveling kit but I might just get falcon Wildpeak at/3w LT255/80R17 Its a hard choice the Kendas are 60+lb with a max 106speedrating but throw rocks like crazy especially on lease roads great in mud and the falcons are 50lb with a 112speedrating and quiet and better for snow and sand but suck in mud. Both tires great in rain 🤔 I'm still thinking
Yea lots of great options out there for sure, I have ran Wildpeaks in the past and these Kenda’s get the nod for sure, but Falcons are good as well…I honestly can’t see me buying any other tire after using these Kenda’s!
That is alarmingly low tread life. I've got 50,000 mi on some hankook mt2's.
Just put klever rt's on my D2 & i fkn luv it 🙂 thought they were gonna be super loud but there not, has a bit of a whine at 70km but quiets down more at 110km, my roof rack makes more noise, went with 265/65/17 fitted & balanced for $1040 aud & they look sick, very happy with em 👌
Nice!… yeah they are definitely quieter than you would expect for such an aggressive tread pattern… I’m not sure I’ll ever buy another tire, they have definitely exceeded my expectations!

Bought Kenda Klever RTs after this video, 2yrs+ ago. I've got 27k on mine now, 22 Ford Ranger 275r70X18 33.2"x10.8" I've rotated mine around 7k, absolutely zero uneven wear. I'll go one more year max, then sell them before I hit 50% wear.

I have had the 35x12.50 17 MT"s on my jeep witch we off road a lot and love them. considering putting the RT's (more highway and foul weather use)on my 17' Tundra. currently have 33x12.5 20 Nitto RidgeGrapplers and hate them. i not a big fan of the squared off look. maybe if i switch to 17's it might look rounder due to more sidewall. lot to consider. love that front bumper, what brand is it.

I have over 63k mile on mine. Still have 11/32' tread on them, and have never had to rebalance them. A little scary on wet pavment, but I live in the desert, so that's not an issue very often. I will definately buy them again...if these ever wear out, lol.

Better than anything you've ever run? Did you ever run the ko2's. Best snow and rain grip I've ever ran. This is tempting, but damn it's tough to stray from my BF Goodrich k02's. I'm at 65K miles and they've still got life, maybe another 10k, and still get compliments. Because of the sidewall design, they never stop looking like they never start looking worn unless you look straight down on them. But they're $1600. Looks like same price per mile really. Sure is easier to drop that small amount of cash for sure.
Good tire I really like them but the price on them skyrocket in the last month, I don't see myself paying what they're asking now

Maybe I am just old also but if I see that I would think I still have plenty of life left. Just rotate them, I go up and down a dirt road everyday and my tires are damn near racing slicks and still make it through the mud with them. Maybe you need to learn how to drive

These are actually a cheap set I got off eBay that look almost identical to the predator pros… I only paid $150 for these things and I’ve had them on for over a year… I’m going to be replacing them soon, just not sure what I’m going with

Your front struts are worn. That’s what causes cupping and uneven wear on the front tires. My struts on my 19 tundra lasted 40k mile with spacers and were eating my terra grapplers alive. Got rid of the spacers and went to Toytec 2.0 struts and all Coachbuilder steering components and my Cooper Evolution MTs are getting changed out with 50k miles of ZERO rotations and are flat across the tread width in the front.
Ordered Kendas this morning.
I had this exact same problem at only 6000 miles.
I can’t stand when people make videos like this and use a coin to show tread depth. Get a $5 tread depth gauge and show actual wear please.

What ended up being the problem with the uneven wear? Alignment? Ball joints? Tie rod ends?
Alignment was major issue but I also got lazy with rotating
I got 35k in mine and one of them had a big ball on the outer side . Your problem is on the shocks and cheap suspension.
I did the same with my falken at3ws my front tires are rough lol
I bou get the same tire and did the same forgot to rotate because they looked good.i rotated them and they wore even again.
I bought the xt version for my can and defender and I love them, the xt just has deeper tread than the lr.

For a A/T or R/T tire doesn’t look like they last long at all. I’ve got Toyo mt with 60k on them, I mean they’re bald and need replacing. I’m looking at several diff tires but I would expect this tire to last longer.

That’s not true? I understand what you are saying. I go off in a heartbeat! I keep mine pretty. But when I go I go ! I won’t wash it for a few days or 10 days. I blast underneath at my car wash at night. He goes out but might wash when he gets back?

Great review man, I just order 275/70/18 for my 19 tundra trd pro, I previously ran nitto ridge grappler and was very disappointed from new to end rotation same every 4k and wow at the price now in 2022 400 cheaper than 3 years ago lol

Tires everywhere have gone up like crazy. I work in the automotive industry and there was a few months this year I couldn’t get any tires at all for our fleet of vehicles. Like national back order. That’s why they went up so much. It’s not just these tires it’s all tires. If you go on Amazon they have a function where you can see the price of an item over the past year. Pick any tire on there and you’ll see a steady increase all year on most if not all tires. It’s legit crazy right now. Not only tires vehicle parts in general a lot are on national back order. Soooo annoying and I legit have to deal with it every day at work lol

Oh really?…hmm, that’s strange, both my sets balanced perfectly…I will say I had to use the traditional stick on weights, the beads weren’t a good match for them, but with the weights I had no problems at all

I honestly don’t pay much attention to mpg‘s, it sucks on these trucks anyway 🤣… Last time I looked I average anywhere between 9 to 12 depending on city/highway driving
I paid a little over $1100 for mine. I put them in my '17 F250. 35x12.50r20 even in the Texas heat they're great. That load range F is a hard tire but have gripped and worn great. When I bought mine I could not find reviews on them. My only complaint is the siping in the tires are not uniform. Some lugs are flat while others still have the siping. Other than that they are amazing.
Yeah I absolutely love them… Same here, when I bought my first set I never heard of them and couldn’t find many reviews at all but definitely glad I took a chance on these for sure!

I run mine at 35 for every day driving!
Just got some installed 800 for tire 100 for insurance install and life time rotation, getting alignment soon, so $960all together.....sweet no more 1600 dollar tires.

Any balancing issurs?
Only issue I had with that was I used the balancing beads at first…they didn’t work well with my setup, so I went back to the traditional style weights and no issues at all…hope that helps!

The first set came from Custom Offsets
When you rotate,do you go front to back same side or driver front to passenger back?
I alternate between the 2…so I’ll go front Driver to rear passenger and next rotation I’ll go front to back on same side… Hope that makes sense!
@@NitroZ18Fishing so basically two tires never get rotated from side to side, only front to back. You should always do the same pattern and they will stay even
I think ya misunderstood my comment, maybe I didn’t explain it properly…but the tires do switch sides as well…I follow the guidelines for 4 wheel drive vehicles…hope that helps!
With seeing a lot of the sypes gone on yours and other having the klever rt about half tread or more I'm not buying them. I have 35k on my mickey Thompson Baja boss at 10 ply. Came with 18/32 and down to 16/32 with 35k miles. They pick up rocks an insane amount tho and sypes on these do get significantly smaller as they wear and already coming up missing as well. Not sure if it's just me, but I'm not sure whether to go back to toyo at3s but a 10 ply this time instead of a 6 ply or predator new mutant x-ats or cooper rugged treks or at3 xlts. 275/55r20. Would prefer a 10 ply tire with a load index of 120. Hoping cooper makes the rugged treks in a 10 ply 120 instead of just a 117 and xl load.
AT tires have a harder compound than RT or MT tires. So yes, they will last longer.
