I'm taking this old furniture and giving it a makeover. I'm going to keep the original charm of the piece, and brighten it up with some paint. I'll also be doing a white wash on the drawers. I am in the process of refreshing 2 very similar furniture pieces. One tiger oak and the other red maple (maybe??). I was very surprised to see the exact same drawer handles on your piece because I had mistaken them for newer handles.

Yes, totally. I almost did that, but was a little nervous it would be too pink. I’d love the try that in the future.
@@ChristinaMuscari I'm always nervous too, but sometimes so much I don't even start or finish. You're stuff always turns out though, and this piece is gorgeous as usual! I'm probably more out there, risque (if you will) than you because I think it'll be too boring, but your stuff is risque without being risky, and always impresses me anyhow.

Love country chic paint I have not only painted my grandsons nursery furniture with it but so many other pieces. It’s paint that cures so beautifully. You can mix some amazing colors for custom colors. The hemp oil is fabulous I used it for my living room table top and it is tougher than you think! (Of course we use coasters). I also have that paint brush and sponges and they are high quality. Also the customer service is really good.

You can also use a abrasive cuticle pusher sick for fine sanding around keyhole hardware. A little easier to control than sandpaper. Less chance of harming painted surface.

I have this dresser!
My first thought was......"wait! she's not adding water to the paint!"....and the second, of course...."I need that brush!". I was originally not sure I would like the extra white wash because I liked the light coating. But the painted top drawers and darker white wash bottoms look amazing.

I am trying to repair (or replace?) table top made of wood resin veneer but don’t know the best approach. There’s lift and chipped pieces. What do you suggest?
Country Chic Paint is one of my favorite product lines! The oval brushes are amazing and you should try their flat brushes they are great as well. Their products are very user friendly.
Also their paint has a built in topcoat so you can use it outdoors as well as interior.

What is the sander you use where did you buy it ?
I see it’s hooked up the a hose I assume to a vacuum ?
They are both in the description box! I mostly use my Surf Prep 3" x 4" Electric Ray and it is hooked up to a Festool dust extractor. It's like a shop vac only smaller and more portable.
Christina, as a fellow Tennessean, I’m curious how you store your paints each season and any tips on painting in cold winters and humid summers. I’m new to watching you; do you generally paint in the garage?
I have a climate controlled garage that I store most of my paint in. I keep some of it in storage in my laundry room as well.

Getting ready to paint my first piece!! Ordering country chic now, is the top coat necessary?
Depending on how heavily used your piece will be, I would recommend a finish coat.
Do you still use the Wagner paint gun or do you use your brushes instead??
