Damn straight! I've been a Deftones fan for over 10 years and I will admit Chino's vocals don't sound the same. So What! After all the shows that Chino has screamed at you should cut him some slack a 'lil. I've seen them 3 times! Everytime is a blast! He still knows how to scream. Keep kicking ass!
According to wiki he's in a coma at the moment as a result from a car crash. His condition is stated as being serious but stable. Doesn't seem to be dead at least.
damn, everyone is always worried about how the vocals sound. he's been doin all that screaming and singing since he was a teenager, and now he's in his 30's! hell yeah it's gonna be a little off, but the concerts are still worth ever cent you spend for the ticket! maybe his vocals are just another example of what sets the Deftones apart?! if you're so worried about perfect vocals go buy a justin timberlake cd.... or maybe American Idol's Greatest Hits, that might be more you're type.
chino does not pig squeal, he uses fry and mermaid and inwards squeals, pig squeals are used in death metal and such, that super dark and low gutteral kind of shit, not his MO

Yes it's different in live and I'm a fan of Deftones & also Linkin Park (don't start you haters) and Chester in LP was kinda shitty back in their first concerts but he practiced a lot and now sounds just like in the albums but only he changes some singing sometimes and ends sounding better CONCLUSION: Chino sucked in singing BEFORE

i saw them in munich nearly a month ago...chino lost some weight and was full of energy, the singing was nearly perfect!
