Thank you so much. I did this for a Neil Young Live UA-cam I found, and it's a lot of work. I've seen several videos of live Pearl Jam concerts, but this is the best I've seen. Mind blowing. Fanstastic!!
I was hoping he would have sung Bike Asap. from an early Pink Floyd Album. It was the song that said "I have a mouse and he doesn't have a house. I don't know why I call him gerald. He's getting rather old but he's a good mouse".
they are still producing new music. album in 2020 and another one on the way now. they have a new single out for it. Ed's singing voice is softer and a bit fuzzier that it used to be but they still sound great. his speaking voice is excellent too. he has a storytelling session on audible called I Am Mine, where he talks about different songs and the band and sings a couple things.
It's weird to see them all looking like teachers now. Eddie looks like a math teacher; Stone like an English teacher, McCready like an Art teacher, and Jeff like a pottery class teacher.

Special concert for me, as I brought my then 71-year old mom with me to this concert. She loved every second of it, couldn't stop smiling for the whole 3 hours!
I live across the pond, so this show escaped me. However, I, like you, brought me mum to see Pearl Jam in Cleveland OH some years back. What big fun we had!! Her smile made me smile. 🎵Don't it make you wanna smile🎶

I am from the Philippines born in 1977 and had PJ in my highschool and college days. It brings so much joy knowing how small the world is watching the crowd and thinking, "Oh my God! I still remember being in that concert, I was already crying with the first song and the guy next to me telling me "hey man its just the first song..." but little he knew that this song was so special to me and it made me remember when I had to leave my country a leave my father and my mother to look for a better future... it still gets me to tears... For the first time in nearly 22 years the band plays the city of Rome, unveiling an epic return at Stadio Olimpico. As they were over two decades earlier, the crowd is treated to the opening string plucks of Release. Ed sounds surprisingly strong given his vocal injury just days prior in London. A very energetic crowd helps out with Release and Elderly Woman, with Ed providing a lyrical nod of “so glad we saw this place.” Despite some technical issues, Mike fires off a soulful and very sparse solo in Corduroy, allowing a lot of space on top of the band’s pocket groove. Given to Fly is a bit uptempo, and includes a further nod to the city,, “…made it to Roma…” Mike literally flexes his muscles on Even Flow, tossing his dress jacket to reveal a button down sleeveless vest. Ed walks the length of the stage during Mike’s solo, again sparse and thoughtful with each note, and as he implores the crowd to assist on the closing chorus he ends up catching a baseball tossed to him. Untitled begins with the story of how MFC was written in Rome. Immortality is incredibly strong, with the jam hooked by Jeff and Matt. A passionate Unthought Known fits the clear night summer sky with Matt continuing to add inflection from the kit. Stone signals his approval with a thumbs up after Mankind. Ed playfully swings his telecaster over his head during the Porch jam, looking like he has some inclination to smash it, but can’t quite bring himself to it, using it as a mirror to reflect the stage light into the crowd. Ed takes on Just Breathe solo, and addresses the crowd in Italian again, imploring them to light up the night as the band plays a truly inspired version of Imagine, with Stone and Boom both shining, perhaps inspired by the shooting star that flew by overhead during the song. Daughter features a playful call and response during the outro. Black Diamond is introduced as “something special for you, not the first time, maybe the 2nd” (actually the 3rd). Mike delivers the intro verse and Matt takes over vocals. An at once serene and cascading take on Comfortably Numb opens encore 2. Black is cathartic, with the stage awash in blood red light, Mike falling to his hands and knees during a searing solo as he engineers his way through the soundscape, with Ed tagging “home is where the heart is, home is where, home is where I feel at home.” After Rockin’ in the Free World (the same way the 1996 show ended here), Ed remarks “I’ll remember this night and the full moon…maybe we’ll see you next year.” An impressive show on their return to Rome. ~~~ ⛪ 💈 🚕 🚲 🛵 🪂 ~~~
During my 16hr Spinal Cord Surgery Posterior /Anterior the surgeons played some songs and Just Breathe as well. Along with other Artists. I knew they would but only heard some in the beginning as I was wheeled on surgery transport bed then it was history lights out, but what a way to go OUT! Thanks Pearl Jam and various other Artists. but have to love Pearl Jam. Even some from 4 Seasons from Antonio Vivaldi it was a mixture. Only been to 4 Pearl Jam concerts. It gets better n better. Learning how to walk 18 months later or more was also to Pearl Jam, the water therapist loved Pearl Jam etc.
I have watched practically i think every music video/concert by PJ. I found this one today. Its amazing, i was on the phone, finished the call and hung up. T.v. muted i looked up they were doing imagine, i drifted off for a few minutes thinking of my daughter, our lives etc.....then they start playing daughter, i went thriugh the roof happy. Toward the end i was like damn, i wish they would play rearview and just as i was about to leave, boom, rearview mirror. Wow, amazing how that works out sometimes :) Great concert, thx for sharing rhis on youtube!
WOW what a great experience that must of been!! I love the fact that the world loves Pearl Jam ❤️🤘💟 I LOVE PEARL JAM FOREVER!!! Such wonderful human beings. 🤘✌️😊
Thank you, Danilo Gallo, for this amazing video of Pearl Jam's concert in Roma, Italia. This was an outstanding --- I was elated, cried happy tears, applaud, waved my arms.... almost felt as if I was there. Wished there was English subtitles though.... nevertheless this was amazing of how the audience and PJ bonded.... wonderful concert. Grazie!!!
OH, oh, oh...sledgehammer has come down on the City of Rome. packed with energy, packed with hits ..and the crowd knows, what is there for. To devour this UNBELIEVABLE, explosive shit. I wish I was there
I've only just found this concert and gotta say damn boys!!! Outstanding in every essence but McCready shows the versatility and craftsmanship he posses on Comfortably Numb. Talk about live and breathe life into that performance like I've never seen anyone else do other than Dave Gilmour himself. What a thrill to see him bringing a rawness to that solo that truly befits it. Similar in just about ever essence and note but with that familiar grungy McCready way and that's shown at the end when he's lost in the moment, writhing on his pedal board and even smashes his fingers which snaps him out of it. MAN!!! WHAT A THRILL. OUTSTANDING PJ.... JUST FRICKIN OUTSTANDING!!!!
Word . Mike McCready is the soul of the band . That's why Ed's clear failing health doesnt concern true Pearl Jam Fans. Keep smoking Old Man Vedder. One word... Hologram Andrew Wood

Haven’t followed this band in years. Shocked by how well Vedder’s voice has held up. Still sounds great.
No doubt !¡ sounds like he did way back ....!!!
Indeed. I am Italian and my birthday is on June 26th so this rocked! Lol ✌
3hrs of solid rocking too, guy still has it. Amazing

It's weird to see them all looking like teachers now. Eddie looks like a math teacher; Stone like an English teacher, McCready like an Art teacher, and Jeff like a pottery class teacher.
It’d be weirder to them dressed the same as they did when they were in their 20s haha.
You can’t seriously compare Eddie Vedder to anything Else than vocally There Are nobody beside and nobody above.

to be fair, stone always looked like a teacher.
You went to a cool school if your teachers looked like PJ!
Special concert for me, as I brought my then 71-year old mom with me to this concert. She loved every second of it, couldn't stop smiling for the whole 3 hours!

This is going to be very hard to top
So lucky. I would have given anything to have been there. It hurts to watch it on UA-cam bc they are my favorite band and I’ve never seen them live before!
Awesome way to start your concert journey!!! Mine was 1980 and Queen. Where was this show? I can't place the venue.
I usually prefer to watch their concerts from the 90s but straight up, this is a phenomenal show, couldn't turn it off.

Nothing more healing than Eddie on Ukulele, especially after a rough day, grey weather, cold in your bones...Gotta love Eddie. >>
God I wish I was there. This looks like one of the greatest live performances I have ever seen. Unreal, thx for posting it.
Holy moly, Mikes solo in Comfortably Numb
I have watched practically i think every music video/concert by PJ. I found this one today. Its amazing, i was on the phone, finished the call and hung up. T.v. muted i looked up they were doing imagine, i drifted off for a few minutes thinking of my daughter, our lives etc.....then they start playing daughter, i went thriugh the roof happy. Toward the end i was like damn, i wish they would play rearview and just as i was about to leave, boom, rearview mirror. Wow, amazing how that works out sometimes :) Great concert, thx for sharing rhis on youtube!

Grazie!!!
This is phenomenally filmed and edited. Damn.
It's amazing, isn't it?
I love that bit during Immortality where you see all the names of other bass legends on the neck of Jeff's bass.
So amazinggg

Everyone has an addiction, mine is Pearl Jam! ❤
ABSOLUTELY ADDICTED TO PEARL JAM FOR OVER 30+ YEARS!!! 😊💓🤘✌️
Loved this show - a brilliant end to three great shows in Italy! Was such a wonderful week.
I love Pearl Jam...amazing Band!
Eddie’s voice is like a fine wine... 😎
Not it's not, he's sounds terrible, has lost his range and can't hold any notes. He was once one of the best, now he's just a worn-out alcoholic.
Nice yes !
@@RK_peace Sad but true. Also true is that he's in his 50's and gave a three hours show, there's a natural wearing out. Though, great show.
@@RK_peace actually if you listen to one of the “Low Light” videos on yt (forget which one), Eddie holds the last note perfectly for like 20 seconds
@@joshtonkin7684 yeah, look, he has his moments no doubt, but for the most part it's like sand paper against the bricks
gracias Pearl jam! magnifica entrega. voló mi mente que tocaran Comfortably numb. me hace muy feliz.Black es mi favorita.
Great performance pearl jam forever 🤟😊💖
Makes me sad. I have no idea why .... there's a wanting in Eddie's voice that captures and hold's my heart. Fun but sad. Love it!
I think i get it- makes me want to cry, and then love them even more
Just does that sometimes
Visto dal vivo è stato il più bell'evento a cui ho assistito in vita mia....
O Rock visceral do Pearl Jam é simplesmente fantástico! Viva a música de qualidade!
He is so real! Love him.
Great opener! So good that they play in Italy. This is bittersweet to watch bc it’s so epic but sad I couldn’t be there !

Can't wait for June '22 to come around the bend... Can't wait... Can't wait... 🎶🎶🎶
Great, great, great concert. Love Stone. Love Mankind!
I was there ❤️ PJ in my soul
OH, oh, oh...sledgehammer has come down on the City of Rome. packed with energy, packed with hits ..and the crowd knows, what is there for. To devour this UNBELIEVABLE, explosive shit. I wish I was there
Fabulous show and so great to see them again!
BEST band EVER!!!!
This is amazing!!
Got to appreciate the attempt to speak Italian, but it's ok Eddie! We still love you!
Amo.This show made my heart more passionate. I love these boys.
McCready = Legend
indeed. insane guitarist
Legend.....
McCready=Overrated
Live meraviglioso 🤩, Grazie 🙏🏼
…grazie !!!!❤️
The setlist was lit!
better man has to be one of if the best live songs ever. absolutely stunning.
