I really don't understand why sks mags have that useless triangular protrusion in the first place. It doesn't engage with anything but the stock, and then it doesn't do anything since the top platform is the only thing that interacts with the receiver. Just use a grinder and grind off that triangular protrusion on the bottom (for polymer mags you may have to LIGHTLY file the edge of the top platform, but this stock will work with any modified SKS magazine with no change to the stock.
***** Wow this was some outdated question I asked. You'd have to modify the pistol grip to fit the 30 round mag or find some 20 round AK mags. Was gonna put this on an SKS-M but nahhh
Just completed mine on a Type M The 30 round mag just barely doesn't fit Like a hair short of clearing the grip. I'm not sure but I think with just a very little shaving it may work
I went caveman with a dremel on my handle to fit the 30 tapco's. After which I found a youtube video showing how to shave the lower tip of the plastic duckbill. Without having to touch the handle. Oh well. Not sure about 40 mags though. Now my 30's work.

I bought a newer version that requires you to significantly shorten the duckbill. I modified it to specs and it won't come out.

Can confirm, 40s and drums will work once the lower triangle is ground down.
When in doubt dremel it out lol
