One tip... My wife and I purchased one about four years ago... very satisfied overall. As mentioned in this review, the top (outside) can get very hot. Since the heat rises, you do need to think about the clearance of any kitchen cabinets above it. An online tip we saw, when deciding to purchase it, was to place a wooden cutting board on top of the oven to cover the top of the oven and absorb the heat from the top of the oven. It seems to work well since the dense wood prevents transferring a lot of the oven's heat into the air.
To clean inside an oven, I put a large bowl of boiling water in the oven, shut the door, and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, I use a low-abrasion 3M scouring pad (blue) to lift the easier deposits, followed by a stainless steel scouring pad to tackle the hard burnt-on tougher grime. The finishing touch is to wipe it down with a micro-fibre cloth to remove smears & buff the glass.
I'm using oven cleaner (like Easy Off) just place the pans/shelves in a sink, spray generously, I always keep a little fan nearby that blows air away from me so I don't inhale the toxic fumes, wait a bit then use your faucet spray to rinse, protect your hands by wearing latex gloves, dry using microfiber towels, they will look like new. You can spray the inside of the oven too, wait a bit then go with a wet rag and wipe out everything, I use a flash light to get a better view of interior.
Great, honest review. I like how you show that it's a lot of work to keep clean and how even then it doesn't get quite perfectly clean. I bought one of these years ago which I left in the house when it was sold. I used it for about 2 years and most meals were cooked with it. Great unit! My biggest complaint is, of course, the cleaning. The aluminum element guards and the metal shelf guides are impossible to get clean. I am thinking of getting another one but that's the biggest barrier to me just doing it.
I really appreciate your thoughtful comment! It’s great to hear that you enjoyed the unit for so long. If you do decide to get another one, I hope the cleaning becomes a little less daunting!
Thank you Christina for your very helpful information. Now I feel confident buying this. You provided details that no other You Tuber had. It was like having the appliance right in front of me for inspection. Was excited to see how successful your loaf of bread was. This will be great for making veggie topped Focaccia. Your cleaning tips were helpful but I think Ill keep my air fryer with grease filter handy for super messy stuff.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled that you found the video helpful and that it gave you the confidence you needed. Enjoy making that Focaccia!
I've had this for years. It's a great counter top oven. I put it away for now and put a simple toaster in it's place since I use the oven and don't eat toast often..
Very nice video.. Very well presented. Have owned their products for years. Really interested in what you’ve cooked and the settings you’ve used. Tips and tricks that might save us those “ issues “ that may arise during use. Those things you discovered during the 11-months you’ve owned-it. Personally, this wasn’t purchased for the air fryer functions, that was a bonus…. My third Breville oven., which I chose over the Wolf counter top elite. Thank you again for taking the time to put this together.. 😊
Wouldn’t use the magic eraser-it’s carcinogenic and is literally a very fine sandpaper. Wondering if a Scrub daddy and the extra power Dawn (the kind you spray) might work well?
Thanks for clarifying dimensions since it looks like Amazon tacks on the handle depth to the total depth measurement. If air-frying something like french fries coated in olive oil do you need to put a tray beneath the frying baskets to collect dripping oil?
Another reviewer said they get liquid coming out of the door onto the countertop , does this happen to you, and if so how do you deal with it. Thank you
@@ProductPortfolio oh? I bought the Joule. Burgers came out perfect using app. Steaks not so much, temp was off by a lot. Had to find a way to take control of that. Unlike old reg Breville oven I had for 10 yrs. It wasnt simple.
Yes, the Le Creuset Round Signature Dutch Oven 7.25qt should fit comfortably with the lid and handles. Just make sure to check the dimensions of your storage space first!
@@ProductPortfolio I called Williams- Sonoma and they said width wise it would work but with a lid on it wouldn't fit height wise....I don't think the person actually did what I requested though and tried to actually put the le creuset inside....maybe the lowest rack setting is too high for it with the lid?

Dawn Power Wash works great on racks.
Absolutely! Dawn Power Wash really does an amazing job on racks and makes cleaning so much easier.

The toaster must be feeling a bit neglected now!

They make a cutting board to keep the heat off the top. So you can put something on the top with the board they sell.
Appreciate the heads-up on the cutting board accessory!
Thanks for the info!!
You bet!
Would this be a similar situation with any given oven. Like a oven in the home. As far as cleaning goes. Thank You.
It depends on the type of oven you have at home, but the cleaning process may be similar in some aspects.

Thanks for the heads up about the magic eraser! It's always good to be aware of potential risks.
It seems like if they had put a little insulation around it, they could've made it more energy efficient.
That's a great observation! Insulation can definitely make a big difference in energy efficiency.

Good catch on the Amazon dimensions! And yep, definitely use a tray under the baskets to avoid a mess with the olive oil-coated fries.
I'm curious as to the cause of grease ? I thought one of the advantages of air frying is less to no oil needed. Have I got this wrong. ?
Hey there! The grease in air frying usually comes from the natural fats in the food, but it's still way healthier than deep frying!
Another reviewer said they get liquid coming out of the door onto the countertop , does this happen to you, and if so how do you deal with it. Thank you
No, I don’t have a problem with this, but there is some sort of venting opening to allow for steam to come out.
mine does this “leaking” too
Can I heat milk in a cup inside?
Yes, you can heat milk in a cup inside, but make sure to do it slowly to avoid scorching it.
How about bread rolls ? I’m looking for an oven that can bake perfect gluten-free bread rolls - can anyone reassure me that it is a good choice ?
Yes a good choice please use my link and you will be happy!
is this the Joule?
no its not but i do have a video live stream on the Joule

Your skin tone is perfect. your hair is cute and perfect, you have perfect muscle tone, gorgeous bottom teeth. YUM
I guess I hit the genetic jackpot, huh?
@@ProductPortfolio Yeah I think so. You remind me of a young Catherine Zeta-Jones, who I think was the most gorgeous woman ever created.
Mine leaks like crazy all over the counter top
I'm sorry to hear that! Leaks can be such a hassle.
mine too
