Spectators in Patch 7 of Baldur's Gate 3 now have new actions, one of which is a legendary action. You have to keep the paranoid dreams of the spectator in check, otherwise it will be your party who suffer from some very bad dreams indeed!
Let me know how you now deal with the new abilities of the Spectators, and if you have even seen it before!

I didn’t know they buffed the Spectator so it really brought me back to the days of my first playthrough where everything would kick my ass, good times.
Yep! A few enemies got extra abilities in honour mode, but not very many of them.
Ouch this new legendary ability is scary! I'm glad you're making these videos! It also made me realize I need to use that Glyph of Warding Sleep more!
I almost got TPK'd in that fight yesterday on honor mode! Thought I was prepared but I forgot they buffed them! Great video as always!

Went in without cheesing the surprise round for once. The panicked sentinel passive got me good a few times.
I just wiped because of the new ability. 50hrs of honor mode down the tubes.
Oooooph, that's rough. It can become a problem in the House of Hope when there are two to fight at the same time!
@@CasualVeteranGamer Yeah if you are flying/jumping from platform to platform, their reaction where they auto-beam you with a befuddling ray will cause you character to instantly fall into the void to their death. So I had 2 party members die because they failed the save moving from platform to platform, 1 got eldritch blasted off a platform for an auto-death and the last one got paralyze-locked for 3 rounds and got slowly whittled down. I'm assuming the strat is to kill them with ranged attacks or approach them with misty step, but I didn't get a chance to test anything and underestimated the save DC for their skills. Even my MC with ridiculous saves and advantage on saving throws got caught with their reaction ray.
I wonder if passive environmental effects (i.e. fire) would stack the dreams? You may have shown it and I missed it. But if it doesn't stack, using the torchstalks in the area might help get you out of a pickle.....maybe. lol! Thanks for the content!
this spectator one shot my lv 4 party in honour mode with increased difficulty mod lmao
Oh I cheesed this fight I did in level 4 by using Astarion, the half orc hireling, the halfling hireling all respecced into assassins with the alert feat then had my guy specced into a high dex and high wis knowledge domain cleric (for guiding bolt and sleep) and the alert feat. I first had my cleric cast 2nd level guiding bolt while hiding which triggered a surprise round then had my assassins snipe the spectator from afar cause they regain their actions after the hit and always crit surprised enemies…then had astarion and the halfling go closer to lower paranoid dreams. Then as a coup de grace, after the spectator’s turn was skipped , I cast sleep which prevented occular nightmare from happening then had the half orc finish it off with a sneak attack. Never even took a turn hahahah….istg assassins are just so great early game. I just did not want to do the goblin camp stuff and grove stuff yet.
This one was a little rough, but Nere's yeeted Shadowheart into the lava before I even knew what was going on.
Thank goodness she was the only one who didn't have a "lasts until you die" buff.

Yeah, I've got my favourite UI mods at the moment, but I've still got so many other types of mods to try as well!
Ooooh, this makes things interesting.... Shouldn't be that much of an issue if you open the encounter from near that upper window , but it would be an absolute mess if you instigate normally by walking the entire party down there, as most people would on a first playthrough.
Did all the spectators in the game get this upgrade? Because the spectator fights in the House of Hope and during the final push towards the brain just got real interesting, if so😁
Wait...there was new stuff? I started a new run to see new stuff and surprised the spectator. lol. Didn't get a single turn
There were a few new things, just a few random encounters, usually slightly difficult ones.
I came here because I'm having a problem i Jumped on balders gate 3 honour mode and decided to continue my 4th playthough pre patch but I'm not seeing the new honour mode stuff on the spectator or bullet is the patch not working on ps5 yet or do you need a fresh save
Since the Spectator dies on turn one (without taken a turn) his new abilities are pretty worthless.
