I purchased a 72 Javelin when I was 13 year's old for 150.00 and me and 5 friends pushed it home and got it going and did a lot of burnouts ... I miss those days now I'm 50 and the car is setting in a field in the country at my Dad's so when I seen this UA-cam channel showing a Javelin it sparked a thought about making it a roadkill style build 😮
I thought I was going to hate the licence plate arch but when you finished it I absolutely loved it. It's rare to see something unique on car restos but I think you nailed it on that one.
The AMC Javelin is my favorite AMC and when you picked it up I was hoping you guys would put that back on the road. Looky looky what you guys did and I love it, it matches your guys style. 3DT is the best and I think this is now the official channel car. My restaurant is kinda a tradition for me as when I worked on cars with my uncle and dad we always got Arby's.

We would film everything with the nice cameras but the amount of data and keeping them clean/ safe and nice would be pretty hard haha. Plus phones have come a long way for 4k footage and “vlogging” with them is eassssyyy. Sean killed it with the license plates!

@DailyDrivenDeathTraps Going with the budget theme but also being different. Everyone goes L.S swap cheap turbo, I personally would go 360 Mopar small block turbo. ( I'm a Mopar guy and 360 small blocks LA series are cheap and plentiful) supercharging is pricey. Big blocks are astronomical, 2jz swap is a possibility ( but lots of fab work) 12v Cummins are pricey ( lots of fab work) finding AMC 360,401 are really getting rare but fit right in.

I followed this transformation closer because my dad and I are working on a 71 javelin. You’re right at the end. It’s not so much the work and all the sweat, it’s the time spent doing it together. Hopefully sometime soon we’ll get the old girl on the road.

The neighbor down the road has a nice '72 with the Pierre Cardin interior. A local owner has a less rough metallic olive one, with an awesome patina, I thought this might have been his car from the thumbnail.

Black “x’s” on the headlights, or yellow headlights. Possibly wide body the car with cheap over fenders. External oil cooler with exposed hoses. Some things I would try out on this thing

I love this car. amc's have always been my "when i get financially able" go to for a muscle car. they're unique and you rarely see them on the roads compared to EVERY other american muscle car. This thing reminds me of the mad max cars and quite honestly i would do some add on's to make it more mad max style. this is sooooo fucking kool.

AMX or Javelin. I almost bought a 74 matador coup a few years ago but couldnt quite justify the price and the guy wasnt willing to work on the price at all so i had to walk from it. (and it was a weird factory beige color lol.)

I've always liked the look of a javelin. Like a early 70's Mach 1 and a stingray had a love child. I like the presence it has a a patina build too.
