Super video. The tire dealer didn’t reset my TPMS at my last rotation. This video saved me an hour or more of waiting for them to do it. My 2011 Silverado did exactly like the video.
Mr Danner sir thank you for teaching me so much man, I am truly blessed to have found you and all that you know because of you I am on my way to becoming a better instructor
Good thing you guys put this video up . I had a tire that needed switched and Wal Mart was the place that could get me in at the moment. Now I see why apparently there guy was absent on Relearn TPMS day .Also absent on Gitter done day . Hopefully he was there for lug nut day...Thanks guys you showed me something new today .Send more GM Post out .
I purchased a reset tool for under £10. It worked perfectly, all very straightforward. Then I saw this clever video, and realised I could probably have managed without it. However it's less hassle using the tool than having to deflate and inflate 4 tyres every time. I guess, instead of deflating the tyres , you could inflate them a fraction, and that would save the deflate, reflate thingy. Of course you have to do it in less than 5 mins!
Thank you for the video.Just one comment. It was not that the computer noticed pressure drop. If it can notice, it already knows about the sensor. It is the sudden drop of tire pressure that triggered the sensor inside the wheel to broadcast its ID and pressure info out. The computer just listen and whatever sensor reports during that period, the computer will learn its id. Triggering the sensor by letting air out is not quite reliable and cumbersome. Later they changed the to procedure to using a small trigger device instead of letting air out.
I just did this in a video for my 2011 Volt. One watcher told me the turn signals were showing me which tire to do next. I did not know it did this. Learn something new every day!
Aw man. I was a GM dealer tech for 6 years and never knew about the turn signal thing. I always just learned them in the order mentioned in the video cause that's what the GM manual said to do.
This video couldn't have come at a better time. I can't find my owners manual and have just been ignoring my TPS since I rotated my tires. Thanks Boss!
+Timothy Lingo the tpms light will come on for a tire pressure issue , if it is solid that will refer to being under or over inflated. typically its +/- 5% of spec. the tpms light is normally solid. if your light is flashing its refers to a fault, a sensor didnt learn, battery in senor died and lost signal, broken sensor or in some cases people took the sensors out and placed normal valve stems in the wheels. You can buy a relearn tool , really simple to use for around $100 and as long as you know how to put your car/truck in relearn you can use the tool to relearn your tires but if you take your car/truck to a shop for service majority of them have the correct tools. issues is at the dealership i work which is a GM one when we get other makes in its a hassle to relearn as my tools are for GMs not FORD ect.
+jay webb Firestone rotated them and forgot to relearn there position. Took it back and I think their scanner was just goofed up. I did the manual relearn and fixed it.
Uhh I bought the tool. Best money I've spent to be honest considering I need to change tires twice a year for the season changes. I hate airing up and down tires it stopped working accurately on my 2007. Now I just do all 4 tires in under 1 min! 100% Accurately!
I agree 100%. Bought one off Amazon for GM, listed below. After attempting the let air out procedure on multiple Gm's, I bought the tool. Sometimes the air procedure works, other times it doesn't. The tool is super quick and if it fails to recognize the sensor you know its bad. Kent-Moore EL-50448
thanks it worked for my 2011 sierra you have to use your original key fob though, 2011 must be the last year this will work on. I used to just rotate my tires before myself without resetting which is fine (you will know your pressures just not exactly which tire is which) but this year I bought new summer rims and I just switched them for my winters and got a service tire system warning, I totally forgot since I have a different set of wheels I would have to relearn them
I'm a tech at autonation Chevrolet, and we use a remote to relearn tire position. simply put it in relearn and press a button on the remote while it's next to the valve stem...
Super cool... thanks for the demo. I'd like to mention something if I may... a - " how to... tire shop tip". you know in real world, faster is the key for us as a mechanics... instead of using a pocket screw dr, we use the tire pressure gauge(no air hose connected to it) to release air out of the tire. it is safer for the tire valve but also quick for the job and looks more professional, you know we are we are always in a hurry...and finding a always missing pocket screw is always a PITA. and since the tire gauge is already in your hand it makes more sense.
+ScannerDanner oh... I forgot my question for you. How to change the tire air pressure threshold? a demo about it will be super, since this is a common recurrent problem. my experience with 2500 HD tires is: most of the Gm Trucks they either come with TPMS threshold too low or too hi. so, no matter what pressure you set in the tire, the TPMS msg and light are always on... the fix is setting up tpms threshold according to tire application. saludos.
Also of you come across a tire that has been inflated with any kind of fix a flat or similar brand the tps has to be replaced . Low tire indicator lamp will stay lit or on dic will say that tire is low until a new one is installed and activated .
Hello Scannerdanner. I am having trouble resetting two different GMC vehicles. One is an ‘07 Yukon Denali and the other is an ‘11 Sierra. Neither will confirm the right front sensor. I have had my scanner on it and all sensor batteries are good. Both trucks say unlearned and both trucks say 147.8 psi on the scanner but show dash marks in the DIC. Please shed some light on this if possible. I have been trying on and off for mths on the Yukon and 2hrs on the truck today. On the Sierra today I have reprogrammed the RCDLR, tried changing tire sensor placement as to eliminate possible RF interference, as well as clearing all codes and rerunning the module scan and code check. The only code I get is C0750.
Hi! Great video. I have switched to winter tires they are on original Chevy factory mags with TPMS. Worked fine on the first drive then it's asking for TPMS servicing and when I look at my menu options I have no pressure readings at all. Is it the same procedure? Thanks. (2015 Chevrolet Equinox)

Can you use this relearn method on all GM cars if you know the order it needs to go into? My dash doesn't tell me what tire is low, but OnStar can; shop that rotates my tires frequently forgets to relearn them and I don't have the relearn tool.
+Shaun O er, you're right, four-days-ago me needed some coffee. What I *meant* was can you use the let-air-out-of-tires part of it (assuming you're in learning mode) to tell TPMS which tire you're at?
+Jessica Litwin it was mandated by federal law that all passenger cars/trucks have tpms by 2008. therefore you have tpms. if you have your owners manual there is info regarding it. I am a tech for a GM dealership. Typically on the new cars it is through the driver info center. there is a menu button either on the steering wheel or the lever for the windshield wipers. press that button go through the menu til it says relearn tpms select yes by twisting the lever or pressing the up and down keys and then select menu again to select that option the car should honk twice, that will let you know you are in relearn mode and do as this video informs. Or Take it back to the dealer and make them relearn it if it wasnt, which where i work is required for any tire/ wheel related service.
Can you do the same process for all cars or a 2015 chrysler 200 cause we broke a customer tpms am ordering a new one and i have to reset it when you buy a new one. Ive done this process on a chevy and it worked
2010 malibu. I get the LF and RF to register but not the RR. Bought a new Schrader sensor and still wont register/beep. Started at 40psi and let it all the way out. Suggestions?
@@ScannerDanner Got the same part number from Auto Zone and Parts Authority Schrader 33500. Not impossible that it was bad out of the box. I am taking it to the tire store tomorrow to have them check it with the TPMS tool. Do you have a TPMS tool you would recommend? We have an Autel OBDII scanner but no tpms functions.
STUNNINGLY simple !! BUT only if you "Know How to Do It". Thank you! Would this same procedure work for a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country Limited, please? Hope you can helpe, please? Thank You!
Just had New set of tires installed. GMC Yukon and I can get in tire learn mode. The front driver never honks while deflating. Managed to drain entire tire. I gave and went to the others and I get a honk for each. Bad sensor?
i have a 2009 chevy silverado 1500 and tried this, i started with the front left as you normally would and i let air out of the tire for like 15 seconds and it didn't do anything and i couldn't move on to the other tires, i didnt know if i should just keep letting the air out to see if eventually the horn would honk or just assume the sensor is bad and take it into a shop. anyone willing to help me out i would highly appreciate
ScannerDanner i will try it again today because i read up on it and it can take up to 30 seconds before the horn chirps, in some cases 45 seconds, so i will give it another go
Then you will not be able to do this. There is an issue with one of your sensors. You'll need to have it checked for a specific trouble code, then go from there.
Zach Hampton - I'd bet your car had the TPMS sensors replaced with newer models that require relearn tool, and do not work with this pressure change method (pre 2011). The GM Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is designed to provide information to the customer allowing them to better maintain proper tire pressure in their vehicle. Proper tire pressure is important for optimizing safety, fuel economy, vehicle performance, and tire wear. Because the GM Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) recognizes a unique sensor ID in each tire, a TPM relearn must be performed after every tire rotation. On past model vehicles, there were two procedures to relearn the TPMS: a Dealer Procedure and a Customer Procedure. After putting the vehicle in relearn mode, the Dealer Procedure used a TPM Tool (J-46079) or equivalent to activate each TPM sensor individually (Tool Method). This allowed each rotated tire/TPM sensor ID to be stored in the new corner location. The Customer Procedure required increasing or decreasing air pressure in each tire by one psi (Delta Pressure Method) to active the sensor allowing each rotated tire/TPM sensor ID to be stored in the new corner location. When using either the Dealer or Customer Procedure, there was the possibility of picking up and storing a stray pressure sensor signal ID from another vehicle that may have been broadcasting n the area. If a stray sensor was inadvertently stored, the system would not recognize the stray sensor ID and the vehicle would set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) and illuminate the TPM System light. To commonize procedures and eliminate the possibility of storing stray sensor signals, starting with Late 2011 Model Year GM vehicles and all vehicles build after that point will support just one TPM relearn procedure - the Dealer Procedure. This change allows both Dealers and Customers a common, faster, and more efficient method to relearn tire pressures after each tire rotation. Because all future TPM Relearns will be performed using the Dealer Procedure, customers wanting to rotate their own tires and perform their own TPM Relearn will be required to utilize a relearn tool. GM has designed and manufactured an inexpensive Relearn Tool (EL-5044 specifically for this application. Owner’s manuals have been updated accordingly, to verify the relearn method to be used, reference the Owner’s Manual - Tire Rotation - TPMS Sensor Matching Process
+Steve Rob Steve can you program the TPMS to allow you to run less that 80psi in the rear of your HD? Or was your truck made in simpler times before all this TPMS nonsense became mandatory? :)
+motoYam82 mine is pre TPMS but friends of mine have the newer HD 's and yes you can program the lower setting. Don't know what their using to do it with but I can't run my truck with 80 psi it's too rough with wheel hop and poor traction in the winter. Ha with 80 psi in the back I can do an awesome smoke show LOL
+STEVE ROB I believe Edge , Bully Dog ,Hypertech , are a few who make so called tuners , or some use the words programmer that people use to change , or maybe turn off the pressure limits . That is how they are doing the lifted jeeps here , I have not done a newer chevy but thinking it may work the same
I have a GMC Acadia 2009 and the first tire horned one time, when i did the second one it horned two times and wouldn't let me do the other two. what should i do?
unless your towing with the vehicle or live in an area with harsh environment I.e. snow mud etc... stick to (p) series passenger tires they are cheaper and are just fine for everyday driving. higher load range tires sizes with an Lt in front of the numbers are for vehicles that typically carry more weight like work trucks or trucks towing trailers
I have snow tire rims with no sensors,,,,,,, 1) Will the 13 Cruze "re-learn" the original rim when put back in springtime after 5 months off. 2)Will this work outright on a 13 Cruze? I guess we will find out in May 17. Thanks
I tried this letting air out on my 2017 1500 Silverado, no go. I let half the air out and I followed the sequence. How much air needs to come out before I hear the horn? My tool won't reset
Works on my 2012 Malibu, so it should. Look in your owner's manual. It should be documented. Remember to overfill your tires (keeping in mind max pressure) with air prior to performing this procedure because sometimes it takes a long time to honk. I never noticed the directional signal though. Just never looked. The manual says which tire to start with and advance to until complete.
i've tried to do it on my tahoo 2013 but it didn't work. gave the two beeps an left signal went on. kept reducing air pressure until signal went off again and learning deactivated at the same time. tried it 4-5 times with the same result.
Yes, just use the DIC(driver info center) on the dash. Scroll through your options till you get to tire position relearn, then hit the check mark. The rest of the procedure is identical to vid!
Whenever I used to do rotations I always balanced them at the same time with the correct air pressure, before adding the weights. It's a few more dollars, but worth it in my opinion. Take care of the Key Fob. If it's broken or the battery is dead, you will not be able to relearn the tire positions.
Got a 2009 1500 work truck. No key transmitter. Manual door locks and roll down windows. Ever find a resolution? And I don't have the owners manual either.
I need help seriously. So i have a 2009 silverado 1500 and i changed rims and tires and the tire pressure sensor is on. And well i put 20in rims and 33×12.5 tires and i just wanna know how can i fix that?
do you have tire psi sensors in the new rims and tires? have you relearned them like I showed in this video? Where are the original rims and tires when you are programming the new ones?
Heyy on my 2011 Camaro 2 SS RS... My left front tire I was trying to reset the tire monitor..an went to the wrong tire first now all my tire monitor are blank an my horn don't honk when I tried to start over..how do I fix this...???
I work for GM for 3 years. They stopped this feature on 2012 and newer vehicles because in my opinion they realized theses sensors have long distance and you'll inadvertently relearn your coworkers tire sensor in a crowded shop doing a routine pressure check and sometimes not realize it. Because these do not set a tire light immediately after they lose the signal the customer may take the vehicle and have a foreign tire sensor learned to the vehicle and eventually have the light come on and cause the customer to come back inconveniently. 2012 and newer and gm body control modules are designed to only to receive the sensors serial number with a radio frequency activating tool. Imagine if you have a faulty sensor stuck in pressure fluctuation mode, it will make every car impossible to relearn properly within a 100 foot radius. It can be a headache to the tech if they don't know the potential to these sensors. They won't teach you what I told you in a service manual. It comes from working a year in a high volume GM dealer by trial and error.
i work for gm now and we are required to relearn even the 2016's. yeah sometimes it is a pain if the guy next to you is doing a relearn and doesn't realize. just gotta watch for it
Brandon Tracy - You are correct and the editor won't acknowledge it. I dont know about this cause I have a 2012 Escalade and it has the tire sensors on them,I hate them !Already replaced a few but honestly I think its the raggedy CADILLAC WHEELS thats causing me all my tire issues due to flaking bad on inside of backside and of course I didnt know the cadillac wheels had these awful issues ahead of time and now year later Im still having issues with tire pressure,
@@beverlyjennings1638 - The TPMS sensors were only designed to last 5-10 years, depending how much mileage they see (they can go into a lower power 'idle' state when not in use) and the type of weather they see (cold weather really hurts battery life). The biggest issue is that no one knows when to replace them until they have one die...and chances are, that's not around new tires. The best advice is if they're older than five years, change them all on your next set of tires.
My tire pressure sensor on the driver's side front tire gives incorrect reading. It reads 27. I added air and more air. Finally got it to read 29. Checked tire with pressure gauge and it read 55. Used two other pressure gauges and they read 53. How can I clear the computer screen that keeps popping up with the incorrect information.
... hey Scanner Danner ... i was told that Aftermarket FOB KEYS cannot be used to relearn the tire pressure ... if you hold those two keys down the car does not honk with Aftermarkets ... i recently bought and Aftermarket Dorman Fob Key for my parents recently bought used 2008 Saturn because the OEM remote was broken a long time ago by the original owner ... and when it did not work i called Dorman Tech Line and he said aftermarkets dont cant communicate with the cars TPMS system so i would have to buy an OEM fob key -------- any thoughts on that?
... well the part itself was not bad for being a programmable remotes ... it just did not do what i needed which was be able to communicate with the cars TPMS system
Specially for idiots those sensors are made, if someone drive into a area with no service for a lot of miles that can tell you have that issue so you can fix it on time plus avoid accidents
Millet's Automotive I do, because there are so many fucking idiots that exist who know absolutely nothing about the big thing with wheels and seats that they sit in and drive around in.
I did the same thing the same way and it did not work for me 2014 GMC Yukon Denali. But it did work with the tool but had a code for the left front tire issue and not reading, but when I used the tool it fixed that. After sitting for a couple customer comes Now the Dam right side says it needs air but it don't, It reads on the tool but not the dash what gives 2nd time on a GMC the last 1 was a OPPS I'm sorry the last time it was a Chevy Traverse WTH. I'm starting not to like working on cars they don't have hands but they want to fight me all the time.
If you own a newer Nissan 2012 or newer if I recall. If the TPMS light is on, turn your key on and set your tire pressures. The car will see the change and turn the light off.
ScannerDanner got 4 sensors from Walmart, gave them to firestone when a got a set of new tires. They couldn’t figure out how to program them! Took the truck to walmart, they screwed with it for an hour, couldn’t get it! Guess I’m gonna have to go to the dealer! What a hassle and expense.
ya there are tools for reseting these. but this method is also effective. the only ones that don't need it are Chrysler vehicles and some imports. all the need is to be driven a set amount of time
Hey... Thanks!!! I have a 2010 GMC Sierra Denali and this worked like a charm. i did use the end of a Tootsie Pop stick instead of the screwdriver LOL #genius ... OK, I had a few in the cab along with a tire pressure gauge but hey I like to be different ;-)
is this procedure done on all make n models that have the air pressure sensor? great vids also I am a scanner Danner premium subscriber and for all the knowledge u provide the price is dirt cheap, thank u!
Oh Man I Thank You very much for this video, this explains why my tire readings are all off. How does this work if you've had an aftermarket alarm system put in with new remotes should the factory remotes still work?

technically the light will not illuminate from a missed relearn after a rotate. only for a low tire. check your air more often

So this still would not apply to those whose vehicles are not equipped with a key fob?
you would need a scan tool to initiate the programming of the sensors without the key fob
I love this video. How do you do it on a car with a push button start? Like a 2006 Corvette? When I push both buttons on my fob, nothing happens.
You still have a run position, even with a push button. Not sure if you had it in the run position when you tried.
I'm a tech at autonation Chevrolet, and we use a remote to relearn tire position. simply put it in relearn and press a button on the remote while it's next to the valve stem...

+Shaun O er, you're right, four-days-ago me needed some coffee.
What I *meant* was can you use the let-air-out-of-tires part of it (assuming you're in learning mode) to tell TPMS which tire you're at?
+Shaun O '13 chevy spark
+Jessica Litwin it was mandated by federal law that all passenger cars/trucks have tpms by 2008. therefore you have tpms. if you have your owners manual there is info regarding it. I am a tech for a GM dealership. Typically on the new cars it is through the driver info center. there is a menu button either on the steering wheel or the lever for the windshield wipers. press that button go through the menu til it says relearn tpms
select yes by twisting the lever or pressing the up and down keys and then select menu again to select that option the car should honk twice, that will let you know you are in relearn mode and do as this video informs. Or Take it back to the dealer and make them relearn it if it wasnt, which where i work is required for any tire/ wheel related service.
So lettting air out of the tires in relearn mode will work. Cool! Thank you!
Hi, any chance to test the pressure signal a part of scan tool?
mr scanner danner I need to go to your school awesome video god bless nice video
Can you do the same process for all cars or a 2015 chrysler 200 cause we broke a customer tpms am ordering a new one and i have to reset it when you buy a new one.
Ive done this process on a chevy and it worked
Chrysler procedures are different. Pretty sure you need a scan tool and another tool to read the sensor.
2010 malibu. I get the LF and RF to register but not the RR. Bought a new Schrader sensor and still wont register/beep. Started at 40psi and let it all the way out. Suggestions?
could be the new sensor is not the right one for your model
@@ScannerDanner Got the same part number from Auto Zone and Parts Authority Schrader 33500. Not impossible that it was bad out of the box. I am taking it to the tire store tomorrow to have them check it with the TPMS tool. Do you have a TPMS tool you would recommend? We have an Autel OBDII scanner but no tpms functions.
@@jaxnaturals I've seen plenty of bad out of the box parts. Don't rule it out
Ok, since this doesn’t work on my 2017 GMC , got any other tips? Or probably not
You will need an enhanced scan tool or TPMS tool for a 2017 model year, sorry 😕
My blinker light comes on, my dash says “tire learning active” but when I go to let air out the car never beeps
Same
do you have to leave the key on when you re air the tires? thanks
No
STUNNINGLY simple !! BUT only if you "Know How to Do It". Thank you! Would this same procedure work for a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country Limited, please? Hope you can helpe, please? Thank You!
no it will not, this is specific to this model vehicle, sorry
Very cool tip! Thanks Paul. By the way, I've been enjoying your printed book.
Just had New set of tires installed. GMC Yukon and I can get in tire learn mode. The front driver never honks while deflating. Managed to drain entire tire. I gave and went to the others and I get a honk for each. Bad sensor?
What was your message display before attempting the relearn
Service tire monitor system.
Yep, it probably got damaged in the tire replacement process. At least you've figured out with one it is right?
I think you're right. That's likely the cause. Thank you!
no problem! Thanks for watching
I’ve been trying this method but can only get 3 of the 4 to reset, the horn beeps twice after the right rear tire is deflated, any thoughts?
Sensor is probably bad in the wheel that won't learn
Hey Danner.
You can also use a magnet to trigger the sensor for training.
How is that
is there any information on how to reset cars after 2010
you will need a special tool (enhanced scan tool) to do newer GM's
i have a 2009 chevy silverado 1500 and tried this, i started with the front left as you normally would and i let air out of the tire for like 15 seconds and it didn't do anything and i couldn't move on to the other tires, i didnt know if i should just keep letting the air out to see if eventually the horn would honk or just assume the sensor is bad and take it into a shop. anyone willing to help me out i would highly appreciate
Before you began, did you have a TPMS light on (tire pressure warning light)
ScannerDanner yes it says on the dash service tire monitor system
Will that work for a vette? I had a hell of a time trying to do the "magnet" method on a c5 we had roll through the shop not too long ago.
+Mr Yota not sure
Will this work on a 2014 Camaro ?
Paul I don't run 80 psi in my HD I'm running 55 psi all around or it rides like a dump truck.
That is how they are doing the lifted jeeps here , I have not done a newer chevy but thinking it may work the same
+wtbm123 Terry I have the Diablo tuner for my truck and it does exactly as you say, I couldn't run with 80 psi without a kidney belt. LOL
I have bought new tires and rims, put NEW sensors on them. can I program the sensor with this tool ?? tahoe 2017
No, this method will not work on your 2017. You need a scan tool and special tool to wake up the sensors (I'm pretty sure)
do you think this would work on my cadillac ats 2014?
I have a GMC Acadia 2009 and the first tire horned one time, when i did the second one it horned two times and wouldn't let me do the other two. what should i do?
If I put on tires that show a different rating than the sticker, what should I go by? My truck does not have tpms.
unless your towing with the vehicle or live in an area with harsh environment I.e. snow mud etc... stick to (p) series passenger tires they are cheaper and are just fine for everyday driving. higher load range tires sizes with an Lt in front of the numbers are for vehicles that typically carry more weight like work trucks or trucks towing trailers
The truck is a dodge 2500, I do haul and tow stuff with it
I have snow tire rims with no sensors,,,,,,,
1) Will the 13 Cruze "re-learn" the original rim when put back in springtime after 5 months off.
2)Will this work outright on a 13 Cruze?
I guess we will find out in May 17.
Thanks
Thanks for this post. Very helpful .
Will this process work with a Dodge Caliber?
I tried this letting air out on my 2017 1500 Silverado, no go. I let half the air out and I followed the sequence. How much air needs to come out before I hear the horn? My tool won't reset
You need a tool for your model year. This manual method will not work for you as you've found out. Sorry
@@ScannerDanner The tool finally worked, it took 30 seconds for each wheel to beep, longer than normally. Thank you
Thanks, I performed the reset on my '08 Silverado and it worked just like you said it would.
Does that work on 2012 Cruze?
Works on my 2012 Malibu, so it should. Look in your owner's manual. It should be documented. Remember to overfill your tires (keeping in mind max pressure) with air prior to performing this procedure because sometimes it takes a long time to honk.
I never noticed the directional signal though. Just never looked. The manual says which tire to start with and advance to until complete.
i've tried to do it on my tahoo 2013 but it didn't work. gave the two beeps an left signal went on. kept reducing air pressure until signal went off again and learning deactivated at the same time. tried it 4-5 times with the same result.
Can you reset it with out the remote control
Not that I am aware of
Yes, just use the DIC(driver info center) on the dash. Scroll through your options till you get to tire position relearn, then hit the check mark. The rest of the procedure is identical to vid!
Would this technique work for a 2013 Chevy Captivia? And how do you fix that sensor? I have one that isn’t reading at all.
Whenever I used to do rotations I always balanced them at the same time with the correct air pressure, before adding the weights. It's a few more dollars, but worth it in my opinion. Take care of the Key Fob. If it's broken or the battery is dead, you will not be able to relearn the tire positions.
what if you don't have the key fob? could you use the door locks?
no this procedure is only for newer chevy vehicles. look in your manual for the proper
steps
Got a 2009 1500 work truck. No key transmitter. Manual door locks and roll down windows. Ever find a resolution? And I don't have the owners manual either.
David Eagle turn your headlight switch from off to parking lamps 4 times
joe vallario thank you Sir.!
i have a 04 tahoe, will this procedure work?
yes, its easier if u have a remote keyless entry like danner does. follow same procedure.
Richard 1990 I sure do
I need help seriously.
ScannerDanner i did re-learn them yesterday. And now thyre off i think i fixed it thanks for making this video.
Thanks so much! Going to try this on my 2012 GMC 2500HD.
i did the same on 2012 chevy volt let air out and nothing any suggestions
not sure what year this changed, but I know it doesn't work on the newer models
Would this work on any car?
no sir, sorry man
What if you dont have the OEM remote??
Is this gonna work to any car
No sir. And it will not even work on the newer GMs
IT WORKS !!!!! YOU GOT YOURSELF A SUB
Heyy on my 2011 Camaro 2 SS RS... My left front tire I was trying to reset the tire monitor..an went to the wrong tire first now all my tire monitor are blank an my horn don't honk when I tried to start over..how do I fix this...???
It's so simple I almost can't believe it
Can you do one for Dodge/Chrysler Please??
every car is different and most need to be done with a scan tool now
I work for GM for 3 years.

@@cup_and_cone Shut up!
Will this be the same on a buick enclave? 2011
will this work on a 2008 Cadillac STS I have remote key less entry
My tire pressure sensor on the driver's side front tire gives incorrect reading. It reads 27. I added air and more air. Finally got it to read 29. Checked tire with pressure gauge and it read 55. Used two other pressure gauges and they read 53. How can I clear the computer screen that keeps popping up with the incorrect information.
You need to change that sensor
does this work for motorcycles too
no
My 2009 HHR dopes not have a keypad (remote). What do i do?
Keep an eye on your tires and put black electrical tape over the dummy light.
Is this a GM thing? I have a 2014 CTS and the sensors are flipped. Will this method work? Thanks!
No, the newer ones you'll need a scan tool and TPMS tools to do it. Sorry for the bad news.
Thanks for getting back to me!
Very helpful thank you guys keep up with the good videos
Will that work on A 2017 Cadillac XTS? THX & God Bless You
... hey Scanner Danner ... i was told that Aftermarket FOB KEYS cannot be used to relearn the tire pressure ... if you hold those two keys down the car does not honk with Aftermarkets ... i recently bought and Aftermarket Dorman Fob Key for my parents recently bought used 2008 Saturn because the OEM remote was broken a long time ago by the original owner ... and when it did not work i called Dorman Tech Line and he said aftermarkets dont cant communicate with the cars TPMS system so i would have to buy an OEM fob key -------- any thoughts on that?
Not sure man. I know Dorman isn't known for quality parts. I always hear Eric O from SMA hating on that company and I trust his judgement.
... well the part itself was not bad for being a programmable remotes ... it just did not do what i needed which was be able to communicate with the cars TPMS system
I wish that TPMS would be eliminated. Another additional hassle to deal with just because of idiots who don't do anything to their cars except drive.
what a dumb@$$ ..Do some research first dummy
Specially for idiots those sensors are made, if someone drive into a area with no service for a lot of miles that can tell you have that issue so you can fix it on time plus avoid accidents
Ivan Hernandez Which research would you like me to perform?
+Blaine Bugaski You realize that TPMS is a federal mandate at this point?
Millet's Automotive I do, because there are so many fucking idiots that exist who know absolutely nothing about the big thing with wheels and seats that they sit in and drive around in.
Will that work on 2007 Corvette?
how about 2016 Buick enclave? same way?
No sir, the newer systems (after 2012?) you need a scan tool and TPMS tool to do the relearn procedure.
What about for a Hyundai Santa fe 2013 2.0t?
Worked for me. Thank you very much.
this procedure dont work on my 2011 chevy equinox LT. any one that can offer help is well appreciated.
I think the newer GMs you need a tool to wake up the sensors and it is done with a scanner connected as well. I'm not 100% sure on that though.
This is good if you don't work for GM. If you do; enter the mode, take their tool and go through the process in about 10 or so seconds.
hi sir please i want Wiring Diagram engin ford f150 2007 .in my country isnt found Wiring Diagram ....iam from iraq and please help me
I did the same thing the same way and it did not work for me 2014 GMC Yukon Denali.
😰😥😢😭😖😞😓😩😫😤
If you own a newer Nissan 2012 or newer if I recall. If the TPMS light is on, turn your key on and set your tire pressures. The car will see the change and turn the light off.
you can also add air till the horn chirp instead of letting it out.
2007 2500 Work truck trim level don’t have a key fob transmitter. Now what?
you need a scan tool that can activate the learning mode for you
ScannerDanner got 4 sensors from Walmart, gave them to firestone when a got a set of new tires. They couldn’t figure out how to program them! Took the truck to walmart, they screwed with it for an hour, couldn’t get it! Guess I’m gonna have to go to the dealer! What a hassle and expense.
worked awesome on my 2010 avalanche ltz
ya there are tools for reseting these. but this method is also effective. the only ones that don't need it are Chrysler vehicles and some imports. all the need is to be driven a set amount of time
What's the labor time on a tire rotation?
do this work if i dont have a key fob if so how?
Hey...
What about vehicles with no remote; keys only?
need the remote to do what I've shown here, otherwise you'll need a scan tool that has the ability to initiate this sequence.
Oh Man I Thank You very much for this video, this explains why my tire readings are all off. How does this work if you've had an aftermarket alarm system put in with new remotes should the factory remotes still work?
