Hey guys I just wanted to stop by and tell you how much your videos have motivated me. I was 8 years Active Duty Army with a couple deployments under my belt. My best friend/brother and I got out close to the same time and adjusting back to civilian life was hard. It was even harder for my brother. I lost him in January, self inflicted. Now he's a statistic to everybody else but to me he never really left, I just feel like I haven't heard from him in awhile is all. The lack of camaraderie is what wears on us; it's nearly impossible to find what we had in the service. The Loyalty and the Selfless Service you have to the guy standing next to you is something rare to see nowadays. Watching your videos shows me that its not unobtainable anymore that I just needed to find a different forum. I bought a used bow, I trained, and am still training to get better. I uploaded my first edited video today because of you guys and would love for you guys to check it out maybe subscribe. I'll never be able to convey what an impact ALL (Hushin, Mt Ops, Elk 101 Crew) of you guys have made on me . From the bottom of my war weary heart, thank you all so much.

For serious cuts in the field keep a STYPTIC PENCIL and a tube of super glue in your kit. The styptic will clot the blood, push the skin together where it is supposed to be and super glue it. Then cut thin piece of cloth and super glue over the wound to keep it bound together .

I was laughing so hard when you guys were talking about the Hush crew leaving you for dead if any life threatening problem came up. I love when Born and Raised hooks up with the Hush crew. You know it’s going to be entertaining and a great video. Keep up the great job and I will keep hitting the like button.

I love the way your guys handled the public hunter. You guys showed a lot of class and not losing your cool and most of all not making that hunter feel bad by using profanity and intimidating him. Good for you guys showing that public land hunting is for the experienced as well as the novice. Keep up the great work.

Just finished watching this. Trent's comment about having a divot in the side of his finger from the knife cut brings back memories for myself as I look at the divot in the side of my right index finger. 40+ years ago, bow hunting in the Clearwater National Forest of Idaho. I was removing a broadhead with my bare hand and it sliced my finger to the bone. Taped it up and continued hunting. It hurt pretty bad, but not enough to quit hunting!

When life is so full of negativity, it is amazing to get on UA-cam and know you can count on at least one channel that being yours to add some positivity into the day. Keep it up. Right now I'm working the NFR in Vegas so now I'm 2hrs late from posting time, so I hurry home (an hour from the show) and watch it right before bed, before I start the process all over again. Helps me forget about the work/stress of the day and have a better night.. so thank you! Excited to see where this project takes y'all and your families. ❤

Love the videos. Hunting shows on the main TV channels cut out so much of what actually makes hunting what it is. How refreshing to see people put it out there as it happens, the good and the bad. Keep up the good work.

Hey guys I just want to say how much I liked your shout out to TJ,I don't know him I'm from southern Utah but if we'd all give a little thought every day to someone who could use it, it goes a long long way. I am Foreman of a framing crew building custom homes and don't get a lot of time to hunt unfortunately but have a tight bands of Brothers who do, and have had awesome success the past few years and it makes me jealous to a point, but seeing others happy is so much more important to me.. your public shout outs mean so much to the people and everyone watching cause it shows you care. Keep including vets, military, police, firefighters, and first responders because we are the land of the free.... Because of the brave!! I Just want you guys to know I love how selfless you all are! I found you guys through the hush steelhead trip, and have been watching everything since, keep it up me and my girls love it!!!! We watch together every night! Thank you!

Love the series. Huge Kudos for tackling such a giant undertaking. There are many reasons to love your project, but # 1 is the fact that you use our public lands. I am really scared that we may look back on this series 20 years from now and ask each other, "Remember when we used to be able to hunt all those places?" That would be such a huge loss. And don't be so naive to think it is not somehow possible. Now that you have the eyes and ears of the masses, it's time to dive deeper into the public land issue facing western states. It's time to become a real mouthpiece for all of us that use those lands and want to continue to do so. I can understand wanting to stay clear of the divisive politics surrounding the issue, but you guys are the best hope we have for spreading the word about the inherent values of keeping public land open indefinitely. Please talk specifically about the dangers of privatization of our National and State public lands and what we can do to keep those lands open for future generations. I think you should discuss this in the uncut on a state by state basis relative to where you are hunting in the series. It's great to urge us all to get out there and use these lands, but you need to tell us more about why it's more important than ever before that we use our public lands. And the answer better not be "BECAUSE IT WON"T LAST FOREVER"... Thanks.

Congrats on yet another epic, educational, hilarious, entertaining and uplifting vid fellas! I just want to agree and say thanks along with the subscriber who wrote in about how you guys, and this project in particular, created space in my days recently peace and encouragement over the past months while I have been going through the most challenging times of my life. The loss of a business, home, engagement, and the serious illness of my best friend and hunting buddy just to name a few. Again not only have you provided a place of solace, but more importantly you helped me rekindle much of my passion not only for the outdoors, but also for life in general. Especially in the areas of faith, gratitude, "brotherhood", and passionately pursuing what you love for God's glory with a heart of service to mankind no matter the challenges. I'm going to go ahead and in faith say that one day we will share a campfire together in Elk Country. In the meantime I pray each of you as individuals and as a group continue to receive "more than you could ask or think" blessings in everything you do!

This episode hits home so hard!!!! I feel your pain Trent I shot an elk bowhunting a year ago about 6 miles in and cut my finger exactly the same way while quartering it up.But we had no vehicle to get any help because we were dropped off so a bandanna and egg white saved the old finger. The only thing rhat sucks is its my trigger finger so I have no feeling in it at all so to shoot my gun or a release I cant feel any pressure. The best thing is that its a reminder of an awesome hunt that I think about everytime that numbness hits. Keep up the good work guys love this and hate to get closer to it being over!!!!!!

Seeing that hunter come over the ridge right into the middle if that herd was amazing. He had no clue until it was way too late but as you mentioned that's what this series is all about. On Black Friday I was out hunting on public land for deer. I got there well before sunrise and moved in. I was setup on a high spot when I had a hunter come through. I heard foot steps on the gravel, an unmistakable human pattern. He kept on going by and never knew where I was setup. I don't know who he was or ever got to meet him but I hope he had a great hunt that day. Love public land hunting as there is always something fun that happens.

Josh Kimminau We actually ran into the hunter the next day. He’d seen elk up on the ridge and just hustled up towards them. He didn’t realize the bulls size or their specific location and ended up walking right into the middle of them.
We informed him of the size of that bull and had a good laugh about it.

The video you put up April 2nd when Steve shoots the giant in the ferns is hands down his absolute hands down favorite video! When Steve is at the bull mimicking himself not even having an arrow nocked, our son makes this weird turkey sort of noise, fumbles with his air bow, and busts up laughing. Then finds the nearest thing that can be used as a bugle and runs around the house bugling til his hearts content ha. Good times! Any way to keep the kids involved.

This project definitely goes beyond the regular type series. Each day, each hunt, brings brother's closer together.
Two lessons taken from this one, especially since cilantro is a take it or leave it flavor (personally dislike it), leave it in the store. Other is an updated 1st aid/emergency kit. Can't wait for next episode and for a bull to go down.

"Push the skin back on there!" You guys are too savage. Looked like a bit of an arterial spurt there! :O

Electrical tape works well for those cuts. Doesn't stick to the skin as bad so minimizes opening the wound back up when it's removed. the tricky part is just getting pulled around and adhered to itself

And that's why you always keep a current medical kit in your base camp supplies.....Glad you didn't lose the tip Trent, but sometimes you need to get better medical treatment.
