TEAM SKOUSEN is tagged out, leaving just 3 teams to fill 4 remaining tags...and they're down to less than 3 days left to hunt...
Tyler and Lenny dropped into a box canyon following a bugling bull, but the echoes are making it hard to pinpoint exactly where the bull is bugling from.
TEAM ELK101 is on the move, and have spotted 5 different bulls, including a unique bull with a huge "drop-club" antler.
And Cory from TEAM ANGRY SPIKE has followed the "Jurassic Bull" into an adjacent clearcut, and has him standing broadside...
Will Cory's persistence and aggressive hunting style finally pay off?
Find out, on the Evening Hunts of Day 6!

I just reported one I received to my comment.
Went to Helena montana to fight for our hunting rights today. Hearing those bugles and hunting these animals makes you appreciate what you and randy do on a consistent basis. Then you let these videos for all of us to view. Like you and randy said in Elktalk this week we are blessed to be in this country. Thanks you Corey and all at elk101 you have 100 percent our support. Thank you
Ted Cherry Thanks for doing that! I live in Helena and it is hard to do when they schedule these things during the work day.
@Chad Colby that's why they do it, the ones wanting to take hunting away work at town pump and can take the day off lol
Get this man a free gift!
@@sapperROSS I got lucky this go around. Weather canceled my truck. I missed last meeting to PROTECT our hunting right. It was cold but worth it.
Thanks for your efforts Ted Cherry! Between the PETA people and the States restrictions on nonresidents, it’s getting harder every day to just go elk hunting
Ty’s snicker at the the missed grouse in the tree made me laugh waaaaaay too hard 😂😂😂
The one thing I love most about you guys is you show the hunt like it is. You don’t fake anything, you show hunting like it is. I just really appreciate what you guys do.
Could you imagine having both Cory's calling for you? How badass would that be? It'd be like almost guaranteed to get a bull to come into range
It’s only February and these episodes are getting me stoked for this year in the elk woods. All the ups and downs and close calls. It’s always a journey!
Glad to see that someone continued Randy's grouse legacy!!! Team Angry Spike is getting my sympathy now! I hope he gets it done this season!
It feels good to see other hunters struggle with indecision in the moment. That is how I feel the majority of the time as a new hunter.
It’s nice to see even the great hunters have days like me. Awesome series guys
Hey guys, I'm glad to hear that you read all the comments because I really want to let you know that I appreciate all the work you put into this whole series. It definitely takes me back to my season, time spent with my friends in the woods, the good and tough days, everything elk hunting is about. I'm also thankful for the time you take after every episode to talk to us all, that's time away from your family, so thank you. That goes for John too. We all win, just being able to watch.
I wish more non-hunters got exposed to the greatness of the destination elk series. So much positivity in this series that helps lift hunting from the negative stigma that non-hunters typically associate hunters with.
There is one thing for sure. Team Pure Elevation is the craziest of the teams. It hurts to see that they keep getting ghosted but it isn’t for lack of trying. Corey keeps getting so close, but that is hunting and it’s good to see the ups and downs. Thank you all for sharing
Another great episode. Thanks for the sponsors Yeti,RMEF, MT OPs, and Peax’s, also thanks to Elk 101 for putting these episode’s together there are fun to watch. You are seeing the elk now we need to get one. It’s like being there with you . Thanks to the camera people. See you on episode 13
Can’t thank Elk101 all the teams and sponsors for the D5 videos...
Can’t get enough keep‘em coming
Donny I love your Dad jokes. This year it seems like the real elk hunting is showing it's shelf. All the things that I've encountered when elk hunting. Tyler is taking Randy's place - shooting grouse!!! I bet they are regretting not taking the 5 point.
I like how he instantly acknowledges he went the wrong way about it… not trying to make excuses but realizing what that elk needed and trying to think of the right way to go about that for the future.
I don't know if I can wait 7 more months until elk season after watching these video. Cory has such persistence!!!!..and the grouse..Randy would be in hog heaven!!!..🤣🤣
Great content Cory shows how versatile he is at calling for himself and doing the hunting thanks for all you guys do A+A+
All I could think of was how Randy was reacting seeing more guys stop the elk hunt to go after grouse. Thanks to the sponsors for helping with these great videos. Keep them coming.
A slow day in the mountains is way better than any day in the office. Love the series. Thanks
That was a crazy encounter from Angry spike. We are learning so much from this series!!!!!!
Those Roosevelt elk are something else, tough finding lanes. Hunting is always humbling.
Love how this content shows the true reality of public land hunting and how difficult it is. That just makes success so much sweeter!
Tyler and Lenny truly make bad situations positive. Those deep canyons where you cliff out can sure be frustrating. Way to stay positive and keep your humor.
Funny, looking at short distance conversions, Tyler would have hit that grouse had he left his sight at 27 yards. The conversion (for my sights at least) is aim for 26 yards if target is at 7 yards. Love the episodes! Thanks Elk101 and sponsors for making this all possible.
That bulls bugle is awesome. Really gets your imagination running when you hear that echo through the trees!
Even with no kills still an amazing episode, The mental fortitude Lenny and Tyler have is crazy. Just to be able go back to the Steep and deep is impressive. Love the videos keep them coming
So flipping close, team Oregon, let's Go. It'll happen, I believe. Great series by the way. Enjoy every show.
I feel for you guys. It is hard to not get discouraged when things are that slow, but great to see all the hunters hitting it so hard even when they are not seeing elk. Nice to see Cory is feeling better.
It makes my day every time a new episode comes out. Thank you so much for show the real struggle, the techniques, and not just the kills.
Man, so close yet so far on that mean sounding Bull in the NW woods! Another good episode, fellas!
I swear every time I turn on Destination Elk V5 my whole family comes running
Thank you so much for all the great info.
It’s nice to know that sometimes good seasoned hunters like you all have though hunts too. I appreciate the realness of your shows and the ability to adapt and overcome.
the perseverance needed for elk hunting is like no other. these day by day series prove this over and over and over again.
I'm getting tired on my sofa sitting here watching the amount of time you guys spend in the field dusk to dawn. My body empathetically goes into exhaustion having been there done that
Thanks again to the cameraman, saw some great camera angles and loved seeing the chipmunks too. Dem boys are in some steep and rugged country, I get tired just watching you guys !!!
You can't say your not giving it your all! I applaud 👏 the effort from all the teams. Loving the honesty of elk hunting you guys are showing.
Grouse hunting! Also love the aggression with the elk, go right after them! Doesn’t always work out but love it when you can get close. Thanks foamy all of it and for sponsors helping make it happen!
Love the way you guys have the season cut up between mornings and evening hunts. Thanks again to all the sponsors of the show.
These episodes right now sure are an example of the dawg days of September elk hunting. Lots of guys would have given up. Finding that aluminum xx75 shaft was pretty cool. Brings back lots of memories back in the day when I hunted with a 40% letoff bow and xx75 shafts. Keep up the good work.
Watching the joy that grouse can bring reminds me that Randy isn’t here this year…
I’m watching this one late, but decided to make it a double header with episode 13 after listening to ElkTalk podcast at work. It’s been a good day.
Thanks guys! Always bringing great content.
Flinging arrows at the grouse made me so happy. Best way to spend a slow day elk hunting!
Lots of action, multiple bulls, multiple dad jokes. Nice job Donny, congrats.
It's awesome to see all the teams grinding it out. It makes me feel better knowing even world class elk hunters have to work for it.
Ty shooting at that grouse in the tree made me LOL. I've stuck arrows in the tree just like that and worse, had a grouse fly away with my arrow. Now I'm like Lenny, I save my arrows for elk.
Hey guys, I am digging this years series of morning and evening hunts broken out into separate episodes. Thanks to all the sponsors and you guys to keep February and March exciting during application season.
I like this format too, even though it’s led to some cliff hangers!
With snow levels at the 2nd highest in Wyoming recorded history I am kind of freaking out about next years hunting opportunities dying in the snow. Each episode brings back the excitement for another season. Pray for warmer temperatures everyone so there are elk and deer left standing to pursue.
Crawling through the alders on all fours makes me think of hunting the Washington coast rainforest. Love watching the series each time you have a new video drop!! Thanks for all you do!
My past couple of seasons have been so similar. It's like taking a well armed walk in the woods while practicing my elk calling. I know I'm not the best caller, but when the best callers can't get anything to talk it gives me hope.
Thanks again. Dad jokes, amazing scenery, hard work, finding the old Easton arrow and a good recap. Not much else to need!
Randy would be so proud and that Jurassic bulls bugle gave me chills. Loving this series and really enjoy the Elk101 podcast. Big thank you to all your sponsors for making this happen.
Taking a nap on a boulder in the sun has to be one of the best hunt nap locations imo!
Man, you guys sure know how to get people excited for hunting! I cant wait to get out in the woods again this year!! Thank you so much for everything you do for the hunting community and the preservation of the sport we all love!
Man, watching these episodes and wondering about the upcoming draw results it like Christmas in Feb. Here’s to all the hunting and their upcoming quest this coming season. Now back to the show. We will soon probably have a Grouse101 series during the down times of hunting. Of the one things that gets your heart beating the most when unexpected are grouse taking off. Great series and enjoying the beautiful creation our God gave us to enjoy.
Watching Lenny and Tyler brings back painful memories of my past season. Thanks for helping me not feel so bad. Grouse are great elk steak appetizers.
Finally some grouse action. Tyler and Lenny are so enthusiastic and entertaining.
Corey with Team Angry Spike is absolutely persistent and will not give up! Love it!
That has to be beyond frustrating to be that close to a bull that many times and not be able to close the distance for a shot. The perseverance to keep going after that same bull is pretty inspiring. Randy would be disappointed that they walked away from that many grouse!
I’m sure Randy “The Grouse” Newberg loved this episode! Brought back memories of D4. Thanks!
Love the grouse action! It’s so tempting to start using your elk arrows when you’re out of grouse arrows, especially when the grouse keep hanging around as you take the walk of shame to find your unsuccessful arrow 😂
The lack of hunting success is a good reality check that reminds me that all of us can have tough hunts. Still great videos.
I enjoy the content that shows all of the ups and downs of the hunt, not just a "trophy" at the end. Nice work, guys!
You guys are all very inspiring. The anticipation on Tuesday and Thursday waiting for the episode to drop is real.
This series is killing me! I can't wait to get back on the mountain.
Thanks for all of the Great Videos & thanks for all of the hard work put in. thanks to all the sponsors
One of the things I appreciate about Destination Elk is you get to experience all the challenges and trials of the hunt. It’s of course very humbling and thrilling when you harvest an elk but all the effort you put in to the prep and the hunt itself is what makes it special.
Thanks for showing all the ups and downs of elk hunting! Not every day is action packed but it's still part of the experience.
Thanks for doing all the hiking for us!! My legs are tired just laying in bed watching you walk! 🤣🤣
My husband has been watching and every time I end up sitting down on the couch watching too! It makes me want to go hunting with him next time! Haha you guys are awesome and I love the dad jokes!
It's crazy that those elk just stood there in the open as that car drove by. Congrats on the grouse. Can't wait for more content. Thanks guys
This series is surely keeping me motivated for September. The biggest issue is having to wait for the next episode. But it is always worth the wait. Thank you again to all of the sponsors.
Team Angry Spike has put in as much effort this season as I have ever seen them put in before!
Tyler and Lenny have impressive determination. I'd love if they could connect with an elk, but it was awesome to see Tyler's excitement with the grouse.
One of the best advice I received about bow hunting years ago was to practice estimating distances. The range finder is awesome for sure, but when it's in between, practice, practice, practice!! Hang in there Corey! It's coming...I hope!
Oh man, that encounter with the jurassic Bull reminds me so much of my first encounter with a bull. I've been hooked ever since.
Woohoo!!! Took 12 episodes but finally a grouse down. That’s what I’ve been waiting for.
ok all caught up (no ketchup in the eyes) and jonesing for the next episode... so I went back and started watching DE-V2, great first episode, again! Knowing your past content is available is just a bonus! This comment goes out to all the camera men on Destination Elk, there should be some sort of award for you all! Thanks to all the camera men.
Its cool to see the harder side of the otc hunting not only the highlights. Im just so grateful to have all your content to take in. Im just getting in to the elk world and i have been learning so much and will hopefully get to apply and take my first trip this fall. thank you all.
Love how these episodes show how darn hard chasing elk is!
It’s been a fairly quiet season, you are showing both the ups and downs of hunting, which I like
Cool format this season. Still stoked to have Rosie hunting with Shannon and Corey on board. The format also provides great contrast of how different the hunting and tactics can be from different areas.
Some days are just rough. Good thing is that when you're hunting elk, things can change in a heartbeat for the good. Keep at it!
Thanks for another great episode! I don't know what is more frustrating, not being able to get anything going or being so close but so far like Cory is. Kudos to the camera guys. They do an awesome job!
Thank you for all the effort you put into this project. Every day is not a ten star day and you keep it real.
I realize enjoy the episodes where you guys are successful but I also love these ones where it’s all grit and no reward yet.
So close for team Angry Spike, I was on the edge of my seat and was hoping he would let er fly but the Elk win again! Can’t wait for the next episode and what it’ll bring. Thanks again to all the sponsors!
This just reminds me of how hard I need to train in the off season. All these guys are true athletes!
Thanks guys, keep up the great work! Randy Newburg would be proud of Tyler for getting a grouse! I love the camera guys getting footage of all the little extra stuff, keep it real!
Donnie and Corey crack me up. I liked the eye explanation. Awesome strategy to range multiple landmarks before its go time.
Good to see the pros have rough days too! Thanks for the transparency and the honesty in your videos.
Confession time…. Corey and Donnie are my idols. I’ve been going to the western hunting expo for years now, and this year I saw you guys in the peax booth and I got so nervous I couldn’t even come over to say hi 😅 you guys are celebrities in my house! Anyway, come back again next year and I’ll be sure to come shake your hand! You’re the best there is in my opinion!
Thanks for capturing the realities of a hunt. There are definitely slow portions of every hunt. But as we all know, that can change so quickly!
Turns into a grouse hunt a lot of the times for me too 😂 That Jurassic Bull bugle is something else!!
Love the shot of all the brook trout, such a pretty spot. I love all the treasures and just stunning scenery we all get to see when pursuing elk
The brutal chess match of Team ASP vs. The Jurassic Bull. so fun to watch the pains of hunting big Roosevelt elk on public land. Cant wait for the next episode! Keep up the Quality content.
Team Pure Elevation is putting in the work. It'll pay off 🤞🏻 I'm sure Randy is proud of you, Tyler. Once Randy starts on the grouse, though, the rest of the episode is full of feathers 😆
That Oregon county is packed with roads. In fact I'm very impressed you don't get more of the cars driving by in that area. Like always guys good stuff! Thank you so much
"In Hindsight... That was not a good idea" 😭
Alright.. We can't take it anymore! We NEED another camera angle recording John during these epic deliveries. We have got to see what is happening behind that camera and how John is able to keep his composure through it all!! Only a true professional would be able to keep it together. 🤣😂
Finally put eyes on Jurasic Bull and a truck ruins it! Way to keep your cool Corey. Pure Elevation satin' grouse and Top Ramen for dinner! Love it!!
Grouse 101 back in business! At least team elevation seems to be having laughs and fun even in the hardship of the hunts. It's cool to have all the hunters recaps and perspectives, but it would be really cool if we could maybe do an interviews with the cameramen to hear their side to! What they found enjoyable, hard, miserable. Great episode!
Thanks for another great episode. My dad always made us guess how many yards away different landmarks were in the woods. It’s a good discipline to develop.
