- The plaintiff has a teenage son with the defendant. She and her husband say the defendant is $52,000 behind in child support. They claim he persuaded their son to post a picture of himself holding a gun so the plaintiff would lose custody. They’re suing for harassment. The defendant insists the plaintiff’s husband abused his son, and he’s countersuing for emotional distress.
The Defendant is a big liar.
He kept saying "please" when his son was about to testify to try and play on his emotions & get him to lie for him

If you have a minor in the house, you are responsible. Whose to say that kid couldn't have taken the same steps and went off to school to shoot somebody.

My son's mom got 13 years of child support from me and of those 13 years he lived with me 8 years and she was still getting support.
My ex paid child support for 2 of his sons even though they both lived with him full time.

I don't know about this, but I'm in the military. On 2 separate times my children went to their father for a year at a time, I paid child support. Fair is fair.
It's so important to have a Lawyer on retainer so these unfair situations don't happen UNLESS you made some kind of agreement with her to avoid the court system
That's laziness. All it takes is a trip to the courthouse with evidence to get off child support if you actually have physical custody. It's stupidity to let years go by and not take it to court.

Judge Mathis I know of a family member who has custody of his children and the mother who lost custody was still receiving child support, and the father was and still fighting to get child support.
