- The plaintiff says her daughter dated the defendant and they had a daughter. She says her daughter went to rehab after they broke up and she got custody of her grandchild. The defendant got custody back and she claims he’s keeping her from her granddaughter, so she’s suing. The defendant says the plaintiff is claiming he’s not the father, so he’s countersuing for defamation and emotional distress.

She is absolutely crazy. Hopefully he will remove his daughter from that situation entirely. The amount of bitterness and delusion she's demonstrating is toxic. There's no way that it's not rubbing off on those kids. If they have leg sores from stress she's probably causing it. It's probably chaos at her house because she's stuck raising her daughters children. She should be grateful that at least one dad isn't a deadbeat.

Those abscesses are likely from being born to a drug addicted mother. The stress is probably from not having their mom around bc she likes to get high and have babies. Kudos to dad for FIGHTING for his daughter and providing a stable home for her.
I was thinking the same thing. Since the child has had medical issues from a young age and the other two children have as well, the common denominator is the dope fiend mom. Curious to know if the kids were born with drugs in their system. Either way, hacks off to this young man for doing the right thing and fighting for his daughter. Salute to this gentleman who got custody of his daughter. I’m very disappointed with this mom and her overbearing ways. I pray that she doesn’t lose sight of who’s important which are the three little people who need guidance and love. A part of me thinks she wanted to keep the oldest to help her with the younger siblings but she needs to be with dad. Hopefully they put their differences aside and work together to raise her.
I also pray mom shakes that drug or alcohol dependency so she can also be apart of her upbringing.

I'm very glad the judge ordered the defendant custody of his daughter. I know there are a lot of men out there that absolutely love their children, but like Judge Mathis said, a lot of single men don't do what the defendant did. If it's true what the defendant said at the end, and the plaintiff is a good grandmother, I think they should squash any animosity and allow visitation. Especially for the siblings. I don't how this grandmother could blame the defendant for the other children's health problems. She was completely wrong for saying that. Plus I do believe she lied in court. As long as the children are happy seeing eachother and it's approved by the defendant and under his terms, I really hope they can squash this and move forward.

This lady basically wanted to raise ALL of her grandbabies and dude wasn't having it. It's not his responsibility to make sure all of the siblings (by different men) are raised together. That would have been the mom's responsibility to make sure she had all of her kids by the same man.
We've been so conditioned to think that when mom acts up that the grandparents, grandmas especially, are the ones to come in and raise the kids but there are plenty of fathers out there who want to raise their own kids and ironically aren't given the chance to do so sometimes until something like this happens where the mom wants no parts in raising them.
The sad thing here is had the mom wanted custody of the kids, drugged out or not, the brotha here would probably still be fighting for custody and probably wouldn't get it.

I'm a single Black father, and went through similar foolishness as this man. CPS would randomly show up in the hopes that they would observe some crazy criminal, irresponsible lifestyle that I was living. My son is now a Dean's list college student. I have never been out of his life since birth, and have had custody of him since he was 12.
