Handrails, Engine Upgrades, and Dirty Diesel! | REFIT [Ep 24]

Getting this boat ready for the water has been a long process. We are starting to see the light at the end though when we add the handrails back to the flybridge and the steps go on. The Lehman 120 Engine gets some new parts and we find out how dirty our diesel is.
We are refitting (or maybe rebuilding... at this point) a 1975 CHB Tri-cabin Trawler boat! It's in a lot worse shape than we ever imagined, but we are gaining on the project list. We want this boat to see the water again and be loved by this family. One thing at a time, one day at a time, we inch closer and closer! Follow our journey!

I don’t normally comment as I watch on wide screen smart tv but I have really enjoyed watching your progress from day one and like the idea that you’re going to have fun with your kids / family when it’s all done. However I am really surprised you don’t get as many views as some not as interesting channels isn’t UA-cam strange. Keep up the really good work the boat is looking grand.

One note on the AD coolant expansion tank. It appeared the hose was connected to the overflow. There should be another fitting on the bottom of the tank which is where your line should go. Looking great. Really enjoying the progress. Makes me jealous I cant bring my CHB 34 home for some heavy maintenance.

Are u going to sand the steps for the rails? And maybe you can use led strips for your engine room(I saw other channels that use them)

Yep sanded and coated with Cetol.
