I’m truly impressed at how Wooting communicates with customers and potential customers. There’s clear transparency around products, and a technical breakdown that’s easy for folks to understand. I wish more companies were like this!
This is a company made by engineers and they typically know how to communicate an idea.
If you have a good idea or product you can do this.
When communication about a product is not clear, it's usually trying to hide something.
And even if you don't communicating the wrong way will just make people think you are.
A TRUE company that listens to their community well done thank you! (Typed on a wooting 60he)
W typed for 60HE too
Type for 60HE too
Type for 60HE too
typed on a wooting x2!
And then set a high price
Really awesome news! Thank you once again. The 80HE is slowly turning out to be a dream keyboard.
Again, raised the bar for other HE keyboards, and unbelievably high to that
Why do you think that? 8000kHz polling rate is Like 30.000 Dpi on a Mouse. 100% Marketing, 0 Advantage for the User.
@@trillex1861 u clearly don't understand the video, do you?
@@minhkhoi7925 Why? Its a Marketing Video, trying to sell you an expensive Keyboard because of a useless festure.
@@trillex1861you don't seem to understand the difference between latency and speed. In this case it has a real world benefit. A regular keyboard has around 50ms latency, this one having 0.125ms is amazing.
@@erpilol7892 No Keyboard has 50ms latency. Why do you think that, why do you spread false information? Google exists, use it and stop posting random bullshit. A normal gaming Keyboard with 1000hz has 1ms latency. This one has 0.000875s less latency. The difference in latency is less than one ms. Thats nothing in comparrison to the latency of your Monitor and your Graphicscard. Your Game will run with more than 15 ms of latency just because of Monitor and GPU(on 240 hz, in csgo and a lot more in other games), 0.875 MS dont Change anything.
Performance is always more important than anything else for a gaming keyboard.
Great job guys
this is just another Jargon and another FOMO(Fear of missing out) startegy on consumers these companies/businesses come up with
holy molly, wasnt expecting this but i definitetly welcome this!!!
This is what I’ve been asking and waiting for
This is crazy, can't wait to get my hands on it 🤞🤞
Awesome, thanks for the update! :)
The man himself…. That’s wild lol.
1st gen 60HE owners: do you have new input for me?
First gen 60he was told latency wouldn’t be different from later versions, only in bulk of features. Now this is probably going to be untrue. I personally would have waited for the arm version if I knew this.
@@JVIoneyman idk why you just speculate and alrdy cry without knowing stuff xD
@@shusakudake why do you care if I use evidence to estimate a possible outcome?
The latency of all 60HE versions. Gen 1, ARM and + are similar
@@Wooting Thank you for clarification, this.. a gasket build and my function keys back is a godsend, any thoughts about split-spacebar? love how you are responding to the community :)
This is stand-up communication. I hope you all can continue to be this open and transparent as the company grows.
Wow, a company that's actually transparent and honest? this is actually really great appreciate the effort!
I can't wait to get me one of these
Wish this keyboard had a rotary knob then it would be endgame for me.
my 60he is on the way im so hyped to get the best keybord ever made
SO STOKED FOR THIS KEYBOARD.
bought my wooting its shippin in march IM FUCKIN HYPED
I might be a party-pooper, but why 8K polling? I mean, you cause extra CPU overhead for what... for reduced latency which 99,9% of users would not even notice?
I get that it's something to get Wooting ahead of the game in the competitive space, but personally, I would much rather have 1K polling with true Wireless support.
I am not trying to be an annoyance nor hate the direction... you guys are probably the best company in the Tech industry at the moment. You actually listen to your customers and I absolutely love your products and your connection to the community. I am simply noting that for me, very subjectively, 8K polling is not very high on the tier-list of features I would pay extra for when shopping for a new keyboard.
As always, thank you for the updates and I hope the 80HE will be a great success, just like the 60HE has been. Stay strong! 🍻
8k polling doesn’t actually add CPU overhead unless you are sending thousands of inputs a second. This is why mice have a problem because when you move the mouse it sends a new input based on how high your dpi is so if your dpi is 4,000 and you move the mouse 2 inches it would send 8,000 inputs to the computer and then the computer wastes cpu cycles processing each input. So if you only move the mouse one inch the computer would only process 4,000 polls because when data isn’t sent over a poll the cpu doesn’t have to process anything.
Its unlikely for you to send 8,000 inputs on a wooting keyboard per second. The only thing that might send fairly high amounts of inputs would be if using the analog gamepad function and pressing a lot of keys at the same time. If you are using the keyboard for an esports game there shouldn’t be many inputs sent over usb.
Also, I’m sure they will let users change the polling rate so if you have issues you can easily drop it down to 1k. There is very little negative to this improvement.
I don’t expect 8k polling to be noticeable, but latency improvements are always welcome. Its better than doing nothing.
@@WARnTEA thanks a lot. It makes sense now that you put it this way. I always thought polling would stress the connection even when there are no inputs. 🫡🍻
i think the issue with wireless is u cant get the same low input delay no matter what u do, like bluetooth is 50ms+, and 2.4g is 20ms+, there is wireless technology from China which is the Huawei Sparklink that replaces the bluetooth and have 20μs (0.00002ms) input delay but i doubt ur PC supports it
@@user-qd4gf8hg8f absolutely, you are correct.
Bluetooth is pretty much only usable for HTPC market and similar.
2.4GHz wireless though, would be perfect. Certainly the performance could not be directly comparable to a wired connection, but with the wireless solutions implemented by the competition (Logitech, Razer, SteelSeries, etc.) already suits the needs of 99% of customers. Latency would take a hit, but would also not be noticeable by the majority.
The idea is to provide a wireless option for those who prefer productivity and moderate gaming over full on competitive setups.
Thank you for your insightful reply! Cheers! 🍻
@@WARnTEA so does that mean it’s useless for keyboards? It’s commercial? Since mice have an extremely high number of inputs, but on a keyboard 1000hz is more than enough to have all the inputs taken into account even for an osu/fps player...? That's it ?
wooting goin crazy rn
you guys do the best stuff xD
I would love to see Wooting keyboards to come with an aluminum case from the factory. Since I'm a full size enjoyer some dedicated buttons to control volume, start/stop/skip/mute audio and lock windows buttons would be my dream built. Just my two cents
Fucking love what you guys are doing Calder at Wooting I got 2 60HE’s and just got my 2 HE definitely buying the the 80He when it drops thanks for the updates I can’t wait!
I REALLY NEED TO BUY A WOOTING NOW!
Very nice!
Simply , W!
Make the switches 3mm total travel. It's useful for gaming and even more so for typewriting.
The higher rhe speed, the higher the acceleration and force, and the easiest cue that you did press the key, in those conditions is bottoming out.
Also make low profile aftermarket case, or use standard screw holes, so we can put another case on it.
I cant wait for the 80HE. I'm running out of replacement switches for my G910. So tired of the double key presses, the amount of screws to open the kb, and the repetitive soldering just to replace a single switch.
damm , cant wait
Would be cool to see a low profile wooting keyboard similar to the logitech g915 tkl
i hope wooting makes a video about their workshop
This bouta be the best keyboard ever
considering about buying Wooting for gaming but also want to have led effect like music sync
@optimumtech will be happy to test this out !
Woah! So excited to see osu! players such as Mrekk, BTMC, etc to try this one out!
I hope there is a 75% variant. or include aluminum prebuild already. LCD is also nice to have
This is going to be insane I hope I get one before first batch sells out
Falling fot the Marketing? You Like big Numbers? 😂
Finally 🎉
Wooting One owner here. Kept us waiting huh?
I have the Razer Viper V2 pro mouse with the true 8k polling dongle and it's not really making a difference other than draining your battery extremely fast (I play R6 and Valorant pretty competitively). I just put it at 1000-2000Hz most of the time and if I'm just browsing, I put it at 125Hz to save battery.
But if it's just a setting like the Razer where I can change the polling rate back to 1000Hz or something, I don't mind it so there is that option for the people that want to use it.
8k polling cool, new lekker switches vol 2 in 2 weeks and everything prelubed? :)
Can’t wait. Once this drops I will be a day 1 owner
Will TRUE 8K and tachyon rapid trigger all be usable at once? Can you send all key signal through 1 poll (all key chord)?
asking the real questions :)
yes and yes.
I was just researching if I could try to mod this my self and found out how hard and complicated it would be 😂🤦♂️ I was going to email you and ask if you had something in the works. Thanks !
this will be my first ever new keyboard, and i am so excited to the point my wife is upset that i want to buy this now.
Wow. Impressive. Can you please do poll on the LED bar?
i'm sure you'll be able to turn it off if you don't like it
@@nezziTVit should be completely removed, not turned off. Looks like "gamer" gimmick that nobody asked for, could have moved keys around and found space for a knob
@@nezziTV Im sure you'll be able to, but that doesn't fix the aesthetics. Calder said its informational only, which to me can be done with the F keys. Have them light up when you need the 1.5 seconds of information on what settings you toggled. Basically an optional bar. 3rd party (if any will come out) cases/chassis will now have to include it. So RIP any clean design.
please, please, PLEASE release an 8k polling 60HE. I would buy 10 of them!
supposedly the form factor is too small for it
let me pre order already!
This is crazy
next week is goona be rough without a new update :(
NICe add option for blue switches
The only company that actively improves onboard scan rate
I'd love to pick up a Wooting, but does it support switching the layout for Mac? As i switch between PC and mac all the time.
I've tried some chinese hall effect keyboard, I experienced serious inconsistency with them. But now I got my 60he(actually this is the second one, cuz I sold the first one) I can tell everyone this is the true god of gaming keyboards. So 60he 8k edition wen?
I still don't understand the purpose of the LED bar above the direction keys.
it’s just for aesthetic just like those mini screens u see on some kbs, completely useless in terms of performance but they’re cool. though the mini screen could be used for some information making it useful but i doubt anyone does that.
@@aaaaaaa7499 Apex Pro actually has it automatically set for CS2 as an example.
This 80HE keyboard is boring ngl, just a bland keyboard and the quality doesn't seem that interesting. It feels like I'd be paying for a membrane keyboard rather than an actual mechanical keyboard.
i was also weirded out abt it since wooting keyboards have always been pretty clean function over form. but i think it's because the 4 keys above it might be replaceable with a big knob like some similar looking keyboards. and the led would show the state of it
Thank you for stating Lunar New Year not CNY❤
dang, I want it
wow!
I'd be interested if you made one with an volume wheel similar to the one on the corsair k90
What is polling rate, and how does it exactly look like on a keyboard? And what polling rate do we feature in our own Wooting 80HE? Calder discusses it in this video.
After 80HE release. Definitely come out with 60HE PRO+ ... 8kHz compatible 60HE PCB (:
Calder they are not doing 8k pooling rate pcb for 60he
i hope it's gonna be at least 8x more expensive then
When you order a 60HE two days before this was announced :(
I wish it was a full keyboard size
Damn, I'm really hoping the 60he+ gets an 8K version.
just got my self a boog75. maybe wooting is top of the class in gaming, i dont think boog 75 is that far off tho. if there was a 65% or 75% wooting i may go for wooting. dont think im geting a new keyboard anytime soon tho considering i also got 2 custom mechanical keyboard which i dont really mind using in game. also boog75 is so good without any moding (sound and feel), price also not as bad if i want metal keyboard.
Hast tho considered atomic purple??
(I know this is a total shot in the dark) love the smokey! I should've voted in the poll 😅
Hey, does the Wooting Two HE have the same features as the 60HE or the 80HE ?
Out of curiosity, will the keys be prelubed and such, to get that divine typing experiences, like some of the competition has? Cheers
Is my HyperX Alloy Origins - Mechanical Gaming Keyboard worth upgrading to your new Wooting 80HE, and will there be a full-sized gaming keyboard of Wooting 80 ?
What about a switch to save different profiles. Having a gaming profile with sensitive keys vs a work profile with normal sensitivity? Would be cool like the new gpu have for overclock vs silent operation
The 80HE is said to have 8k pulling rate. Will the module also have this feature after an update or something?
hope fully no key wobble with this 80he , i tried the new end game there is no excuse not to use the stable Gateron KS-37B Magnetic Switches (prelubed) or equivalent
lol i just baught a 60hE+ today and now there is this
Will the 80He release in like the next three months? I just dont know if two He or 60He but i need my function keys xD
I really like your tech, software and dedication. I use the HE60 for over a year now and might have switched to the HE80, but the HE80 doesn't look good in my opinion.
The top is too thick, thicker then any other sides and compared to the HE60 it looks REALLY bulky overall... And the sharp corner at the bottom (where the HE60 has a slope) also looks too aggressive.
And I don't like the "lightbar", it is very distracting and makes the keyboard look uneven.
I still hope for a feature to enable/disable alt+tab and other annoying windows shortcuts to be implemented ç_ç
Would a USB 3.0 port or a Hi-Speed 2.0 port be the best to use for true 8k polling? Since USB 2.0 has a 0.125ms polling rate like shown in the video I'm assuming that's what the keyboard is designed for, but at the same time the theoretical speed limit of USB 3.0 is higher. Since 3.0 isn't really polling-based though I'm not sure how consistent those speeds can be kept? If 3.0's latency ever rises above 0.125ms then USB 2.0 is the better choice imo, anyone know if this could happen with USB 3.0 or if it *consistently* holds speeds higher than USB 2.0?
DROP A 65% VERSIONNNN THIS IS EPIC
Calder in 4k scares me
Maybe a bit of a random comment but is there any plan for the lekker switches to get the upgraded design from gateron where they significantly reduced the wobble in them?
Have you made a video on de_ancient?
Will be interesting to see what 8k polling keyboard and an 8k polling mouse does to the CPU. It can be an issue just with a mouse so will be curious when you throw a keyboard on top of it.
exactly. anything over 1k is just a waste imo. optimum tech did a video on it. I have the Finalmouse ULX and when i set it to 4k polling. my cpu usage goes up quite a bit and i have a pretty high end build.
One of the very few videos from Optimum Tech that I would completely disregard. You can 100% tell the difference between 1k polling and 4k polling. If you can't, then either something is wrong with your setup or you aren't doing something that you can notice it in. The performance impact from 4k polling isn't that high if implemented correctly in whatever game you are playing. 8K polling on the other hand seems to be more troublesome for most games and the stability is still questionable. Very small improvement if any from 4k to 8k with a noticeable impact to performance. @@OmarGarcia1
@@OmarGarcia1What processor do you have?
I'm sure the difference is very minimal compared to, let's say, monitors where it can be more obvious. Until some does more testing with how our system's behave when multiple devices use 4k polling to 8k polling, I'm going to probably stick to the 1k polling. It will be nice to have 4k polling and 8k polling as an option later on when it's all figured out.
8khz on a keyboard does not load the CPU any more than 1khz, since the CPU only receives an interrupt whenever a key is pressed or released. It does increase the load on the USB host controller, though, which can be a problem on some motherboards.
I was expecting like 2k or perhaps 4k but not 8k awesome stuff
Its pureley Marketing. There is no Advantage. Less than a millisecond improvement in latency.
@@trillex1861 i get it, but personally for me it's worth it for the peace of mind knowing that my keyboard is not the problem. i upgrade my peripherals VERY rarely, after 10 years of gaming this will be my second keyboard i buy ever and hopefully my last. i want to be able to upgrade every part of my PC in 20 years and still be sure that my keyboard is overkill.
going from the range 1-10 ms which _could_ be _barely_ noticeable at the worst case scenario, to the range of 0.1ms-1ms feels like i can finally stop thinking about keyboard latency forever now. one order of magnitude lower latency than i'll ever notice :)
@@trillex1861 The end user even negates this "gain" because of the time we (our brain) need to process what is seen into action.
i got my 60he yesterday :(

I want a Alumaze for my 2 HE
im not a pro gamer and am fine with my 60he, but it still makes sense to ask: what about for those who dont want to buy a new keyboard(60he owners) or want to stick on the 60% form factor?

QUESTION PLEASE! So does this mean the cable connecting to the PC is USB-A or USB-C??
It comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable. And a little dongle to make it USB-A compatible
Nice
@@Wooting Thank you for answering! Follow up question: Will using the USB-A dongle effect latency and/or performance??
been 3 weeks already so i doubt theyll answer but in case you wanna know: no, it will not, 8khz polling rate was introduced with the switch from usb 1.1 full speed to usb 2.0 high speed in the lovely year 2001. theyre calling it high speed because of marketing and because that is technically its name, but its a usb 2.0 feature and youll be hard pressed to find any modern hardware that doesnt support that. you dont need usb c or even a usb 3.0 port @@bobysenpai
please release it in ISO layout as well, love from europe, aprecciate the craftasmanship
will the 60HE and 100% keyboards also get true 8k polling? Bc i want to buy the 100%, but is it worth to wait for the potential upgrade?
Good question. The 100% is the only one I consider, I hate not having my F keys and numpad.
8k polling is completly useless. Its a Marketing Feature Like 30.000 Dip Mousse. The latency Advantage is less than 1ms. Thats nothing. You Monitor and your Game add a lot more latency
The fact that no other company has been able to release a keyboard that comes close to the 60HE in performance and these guys just release an even better keyboard is just insane.
Multiple companies have. With tighter tolerances. Fuckin' paid actor.
when ?
wooting 80he making my 80hd act up
Can we also get at least a 65% PCB 😢
Pairing this with an 8k polling mouse so I can watch my CPU fall to its knees.
I have my razer viper 8kphz connected to a usb 3.2 :D
Question here. Isn't the .125 ms latency only true if polling on the USB syncronizes with the polling of the keyboard's MCU? Asking out of curiosity.
