Thank you Graham. It is mainly a Jerry Byrd interpretation but with my backing. I have found the best way to analyse somebody’s playing is to listen and emulate what they are doing then record it. That’s when I learn the most by listening back to what I play. It can be a real eye opener sometimes!
Makes me want to take a trip to Hawaii or bora bora.
That would be really nice!
Awe Mike. There is the sound. Beautiful.
Thank you Roy for your kind words!
Bravo my friend! Your Hawaiian tones gets better and better. Love it Mike.
Thank you Kevin…..will be interesting to watch your little band play this.

@@MikeHollandGuitar hell yeah, you inspired me to get one of those epiphone lap steels - I was really bad at it but at least I gave it a shot.
@@stinky_lizard excellent…… the fun is in the learning! But it certainly is not a 5 minute thing!
Beautiful music
Thank you David!
Can I get a mai tai while I'm here too? Besurltiful playing as usual. Much thanks. Cheers
Thank you David……… I have never tasted a Mai Tai…… will have to change that soon😄
Such a beautiful tune and your interpretation has the nuance that Jerry Byrd imparted into it - plus you made it your own.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Janet!
Very satisfying sound a non Hawaiian song where I visulize swaying palms and swishing Holla skirts
Thank you Robert. Yes, I was trying to get that Hawaiian feel into the song!
Beautiful playing Mike, Would you describe how you get That C6/A7 tuning ? I am new to lap steel playing. Thanks
Thank you. The tuning is a modified C6 tuning. C#EGABC low to high! The top 5 strings would be C6 tuning. The bottom four strings are an A7 chord!
Beautiful, Mike. Is the C6/A7 the low C one half step up?
Thank you Jean….You are correct the C is raised up one half step. You can play 7th chords under a straight bar!
