- This is the first of a series of short videos edited for "The Final Table Ecuador" Masterclass that happened in Guayaquil, in May 2019. These clips sum up some of the best moments of the show for Rodrigo Pacheco and I.
The clips are divided in 4:

I was so sad when Charles and Rodrigo got eliminated. They made the most beautiful and creative dishes. I remember when they made the cricket tacos and was thinking "ah man what? Crickets?" Then when the dish was done and presented, it looked so amazing. I was drooling when the judges began crunching into them.
I think the 3 teams that are (mark & shane), (tim&darren) and (charles, rodrigo) are participants who entered the final round. The production team must put 3 teams in the final.
You guys were my two favourite chefs. You guys were amazing. You're very talented. Much love and support❤️

Charles I know I'm a few years late but I just adored your presence on this show. I was so upset when you & Rodrigo were eliminated. The way you spoke about your creations spoke to my heart, your intuition and innovative nature was captivating. I was hooked to the screen every time you spoke, I adore you! ❤

They are my favorite! I love them so much. Especially, Charles, I mean the guy is so humble and ARTISTIC. They bring so much emotion to their dish. They were poetic and create such beautiful stories through their creations. Just listening to their thoughts is captivating for me. I will support their careers along with everyone else in the competition, they are all talented and inspiring chefs.

Acabo de ver la serie en Netflix y debo decir que comparto la opinión de muchos otros de los que han comentado: ustedes son mi equipo favorito de toda la competencia. Me hubiese encantado verles en la final y ver qué plato iban a crear para que los representara. La dinámica entre ustedes, a mi parecer, era la mejor. Se notaba la armonía, la amistad fuera de la competencia. No fueron un equipo improvisado, eran dos chefs y dos personas que se conocían profundamente y sabían cómo trabajar el uno con el otro. Bravo. Los admiro mucho. Felicidades por todo lo que han logrado!

Hi Charles! I’m also from the Philippines and the second I saw your background story being featured on The Final Table, I immediately knew that you and Rodrigo were the ones I was gonna support all the way. I am an inspiring artist myself, with a youthful, creative mind. Although I’m more focused on drawing and digital arts, cooking is another passion of mine and my family and you opened my eyes further on how to integrate art with cooking. Hopefully one day I get the amazing honor of meeting you if ever you decide to travel to the Philippines. Even though our country is more prone to earthquakes and natural disasters, our diversity is rich and we have a lot of natural resources.

I recently discovered the final table years after it came out. You instantly became a fan favorite among my family and I, your dishes were so brilliantly unique from the rest! You did amazing:)
At first I didn’t pay too much attention, but as the show went on I was excited to see everything they’d make

my favorite pair in the competition...my favorite episode was with the pumpkin...although they didnt do well in the episode it was amazing to see them cook without the plan and just dance around each other and cook by instinct and emotion...they had the best chemistry among the pairs...amazing...i stoppes watchinf once they were off the competition...didnt even watch the grand finale...

I'm just watching the final table now and I'm so shocked and upset that Charles and Rodrigo got eliminated! It's not fair. They were the most creative and artistic. So disappointed with the judge.
I just discovered The Final Table on Netflix. This is now my favorite competition cooking show. These are professional chefs making professional dishes and, finally, they are not beholden to a stopwatch. Cooking should be about love, not about panic. The Final Table is a proper cooking show but I have nagging questions. First off, I can't believe that all nine judges are chefs at the highest level and that they were all brought together under one roof. Major respect. I did like the fact that the competing chefs were paired up as a team but I was unclear as to why. Doesn't the team aspect of the competition risk sending a chef home that's perhaps the best singular chef in the competition? On the flip side, cooking in a kitchen is about having the best team working together as one unit. When it came to the finals, the four chefs each cooked individual dishes. Picking a winning chef from just one plate seems arbitrary to me. It seems like each of the finalists should have to cook at least two dishes to ensure that the winning chef wins by merit. Perhaps the first dish could be from an ingredient picked by all 9 super-chefs (as in previous episodes) and then the second dish could be the finalists decision. The judges would choose the winning chef based on each of the finalist's two dishes. I appreciated what Clare Smyth said about Tim Hollingsworth's final plate. Clare said that Tim's plate was so perfect that it must have already been part of his repertoire. She went on to question the lack of risk taking and whether or not being safe should be rewarded. Grant Achatz countered that, in the end, the winning plate should strictly be about the best tasting, most beautifully presented plate. Contrary to Hollingsworth's safe and proven approach, Darren MacLean went out of his comfort zone and cooked a fish head. A risk that, unfortunately, didn't pay off. I congratulate Tim Hollingsworth on his win. I'm left, however, scratching my head as to whether or not this will further Hollingsworth's career as a chef. Did Hollingsworth win a televised cooking competition or will his win have greater significance? Does Tim's seat at The Final Table carry the importance of a San Pellegrino award or a Michelin Star? For Tim's sake and for the sake of all of the other finalists in the completion I hope this show will boost their profile and respect in the culinary world.
By the way, Charles, my best friend is a professional chef who worked at Le Bernardin and Per Se. We were both rooting for you and Rodrigo to win this competition. You almost did it. Nothing but love for the both of you.

I only have one negative thing to say but I feel it’s important: that red string bracelet dangling into and over all the ingredients raw& cooked. If I were a judge on the show I’d have said something immediately. That said, cool guy and great chef.
Charles looks like the girl from Stranger Things. But yeah I love these chefs, they are so innovative. :)

This programme lacked many things and hardly was balanced. It clearly cherry picked some western happy countries rather them ones which would represent internationally.
Only one black and Indian chief. The rest were cacassion's who can apparently cook in different styles. Hardly diverse.
