What a fabulous video to watch on a Sunday morning, coffee in hand. Trena really has surpassed all the other craftsmen on UA-cam by adding the teaching aspect as well as entertainment. This video shows the patience and art required by a true craftsman. My favorite is watching her make the molds and replacing the missing embellishments. She and her father are my absolute favorite team.

Not only are these pieces interesting, but they are also common items overlooked in most Canadian towns and cities because of the amount of detail required to bring them back to beauty.
Your degree of mastery really shines through these fiddly but delightful pieces.

Vaughan Williams - not The Lark Ascending though you will probably like that too, but the piece you love is Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis. It was composed in 1910 but the main theme is 16th century. You might like the Fantasia on Greensleeves too. Happy listening and thanks for rescuing that poor old bureau. What a life that had had. You pretty much brought it back from the dead! Back in September 1983 I had a weird experience with 'your' tune - on a walking holiday on the Shropshire/ Welsh border we walked into Bishop's Castle, a Tudor town. We walked in very early in the morning, no one around and walking down a hill with half timbered buildings on either side the Fantasia wafted out of an open window. It felt like we'd time-shifted back to the end of the 16th century! Eventually the postman broke the spell but it was a magical moment.

Hello Trena, you made an absolutely beautiful job on that cabinet and I appreciate the asymmetrical mirror a lot. My grandad had similar pieces where the flow of the design enchanced by applique lifted a functional cabinet into a piece of art. He was a silversmith, worked in Birmingham UK and made some of the pieces for the Queen's coronation. I inherited a small slice of his craftsmanship and made wedding dresses from scratch according to what my clients required, I am now retired. It's lovely to see the handmade crafting continuing on through various arts and your dad must be so proud of you
