- Hi All ~ Happy Saturday! In today's video, we will be doing Intuitive Collage, in Week 50 the Journal Prompt is "Considering Symbols in our Artwork"... Enjoy! There are two sets of Printables to choose from: The Asian Paper 2021 Collection sso.teachable.com/secure/2517...

You have rocked my world, Ms. McClendon. I have watched many videos on gelli printing in the last month as I prepare to jump into it. Yours suit me best. I love your color sensibility,your aesthetic, and your style. Your work never looks "kitchen table crafty" and your instruction exhibits the sophistication that I will want my work to have as well.
I got a gel plate last week and sat down just to try it out last night. 76 prints (!!!!) later I am absolutely hooked. I see that I will have to buy paper by the case. I have a stash gathered from years of almost shameful paper-lust but I am marbling, snd printing more paper and textiles to have an updated stash to pull from.
I want to thank you for hooking me in. I have moved to a new town and am missing friends and family. This new obsession is helping to keep the blues away and allowing me to make special bits of my artwork to send them. Many thanks, Robyn. Keep spreading that magic. You are much appreciated.

robin, thank you so much for this sort of discussion, especially about making the techinques be the language and not the soul of the image. Thank you, Robin, this so important. I am a print maker, but I wantedd to inhance the surfaces that I print on, so the use of the gelli printing on tissue paper opened up a whole new world for surfaces to use on my etching press, for printing. But I fell into trying every darned technique and for a while I needed to go down that rabbit hole! But I had a problem dealing with journaling. I hated how the whole thing looked frickin messy, how do I make that bastardly mess as inspiration when I could not see personal imagines in it? I finally made the leap! and now i have seen a direction I wish to go. Thank you Robin,,, oh is there a way to make a piece, small ones, then sort of make them into a book form, but still have each page loose? I know I know , I can make a book but darn, I love very flate stored images rather book form, Do you have any ideas for me? I am loving your work and how it is improving my image presentation. Thank you Thankyou!

Oh wow Robyn, just yesterday I took all my symbols from the Hearth Codes project/class and categorized them on a smaller sheet of paper. Your idea of putting them in our journal is genius. I'm super looking forward to 2022 with you and the new Jelli Junkadori Journal extravaganza......dont know if I spelled that right.
