It’s not gay for a man to cry when he sees the bride on their wedding day. It’s only gay if a man cries at the sight of his groom on their wedding day.
In my Mom's native language mal means bad. Nor mean not. So, you have to tell people you are not bad or foul? I hate to disagree, if you are a transphobic person you are being a horrible human.
I was talking to mal, and nor had the audacity to be mad that I used mals pronouns! Nor started muttering to norself about ‘stupid woke mob’ and I tried very politely to asked mal if nor was okay.
I love it when I ask for pronouns from someone and they're like "Nor/mal!!!" and I act all surprised and go like, "oh sweet, neopronouns!!! Can you use them in a sentence so I can use them correctly when referring to you????!?!?!" the death glares and the flashes of anger going over some of these people's faces when I do that is pure delight.
i love the guy who was like "my pronouns are you/are/a/fucking/moron!" i was like "well everybody, you heard moron, fucking doesn't want to be referred to as anything other than fucking moron. it would be disrespectful of moron to refuse to use fucking preferred pronouns."
The one about men crying at their weddings is SO FUNNY to me bc it’s basically just like “hey if a man finds a woman SO OVERWHELMINGLY BEAUTIFUL that it literally brings him to tears, that obviously means that he’s attracted to men!” Make it make sense 😭😭
Because being emotional means being more feminine, which means liking women makes you more like a lesbian than a man. I did my best to make it make sense and I think I lost brain cells in the process.
@@animeotaku307 describing having emotions as more feminine is sexist, and harmful to men because it shapes the faulty perception of themselves so many of us are plagued with. Women aren't more emotional than men, they have been told it was ok, while we've been told "boys don't cry".
That's because gay is synonymous with effeminate, even before it was used for homosexual men, that's why it's such a common insult, so they're basically calling those married men girly
I work with a guy who was openly transphobic until he realized that I'm trans and I'm just a normal dude. Man actually told me that I changed all his views because he didn't know trans people are just people. He'd only ever seen extreme examples and genuinely didn't know. But he saw how I interact with his dog (a super sweet German Shepard) and how his dog acted towards me and it made him question everything he'd been taught. Like... they genuinely don't think trans people are people. They think we're monsters hiding under beds.
Glad he changed because so many people are full of bad faith. As in they’re willfully ignorant and will ignore any evidence that proves their beliefs wrong. Good for him for changing his mind
That must of been really scary beforehand if he said transphobic stuff to you, im so glad he had an eye opening experience, you changed his life for the better !! ❤
@@hildisvini_9622 oh he was never aggressive or rude. I honestly wouldn't have known his opinion if he hadn't been the one to bring it up. My workplace is very big on leaving politics at home, and my boss would absolutely not have allowed transphobia.
Anyone can change their name legally to any other name they want. You don't even have to be trans to change from a "Scott" to a "Suzie". I don't know if any cis man would want to, but he could.
My college only had unisex toilets. All the stalls were completely private, and no one seemed to have an issue with this. It was just normal, and no one seemed to be made uncomfortable by it. As a non-binary person, I preferred them being like this, as I didn’t have to feel dysphoric about using the wrong bathroom. I even found it weird when I went to uni and they only had male/female ones.
I completely agree, I'm cisgender and pretty socially awkward so I wish that all public bathrooms were just individual rooms without any shared space whatsoever.
I'm not even trans and I prefer unisex toilets. I get PTSD from childhood trauma when I have to use a men's room. I HATE those stalls that offer no privacy at all.
I wish that’s how it was everywhere, I know cis people who’ve been harassed for being in the “wrong restroom” despite being cis. I also don’t understand the separation in the first place, why not just do urinal rooms and stall rooms so people can pick? I know a ton of cis guys who hate urinals and just want a damn stall. I don’t use public restrooms myself (intersex trans man in a red state) but I hear that men’s rooms typically only have a few stalls, if more than one. It just seems so much more logical to not have gendered bathrooms.
Trans people🤝Masking autistics Being told they’d be terrible actors even though they have to pretend to be ‘normal’ all the time. Trans autistic people can just hold their hands together.
Idk I have some trans friends that were pretty bad at pretending to be cis. For some reason, I'm reminded of Captain Holt pretending to be straight in Brooklyn 99.
All the same, it would be cool if it was just decaf with an edgy name... "This coffee just doesn't stimulate me like other brands." "Well, it *is* anti-woke."
It's actually extremely illegal to film people in a public bathroom (yes, even by the sinks) without their explicit consent! That lady could be doing a lot of time in jail for that, plus extra for posting it.
Three things really bothered me about the all-gender restroom/washroom/toilet video. (1.) Filming anyone in a washroom is creepy! (2.) Accosting the man who walked in and shouting "a man in a non-gender restroom!" and practically chasing him to film his use of the toilet! The man was simply minding his own (private) business! (3.)It was gross that the young man was leaving the restroom without washing his hands (though, to be fair, he may have been so surprised and anxious about being filmed in such a private space that he simply wanted to get the hell out of the situation as quickly as possible!).
To be honest, between the women talking about "a man just used that one", linking him to the comment, the camera and the fact that there was a woman loudly interviewing everyone she encountered in the bathroom...I would leave without washing my hands too. ...Or more likely just go to the other side and wash them there.
A LOT of men don't wash their hands after using the bathroom. They think that if all they did was pee, they don't need to, since they didn't wipe. I disagree. I think it's weird. Just wash up, my dudes.
Been to more mens restrooms than I personally wanted to, but let me tell you, most men don't even wash their hands after pooping. There's even some kind of expeession around it, going something like:"Who washes their hands after they pee, has a dirty d***." Yes, many cis guys are hella disgusting🙃
You first point out that filming people in a private space is creepy and then you proceed to … shame one of the filmed people for their behaviour in said space? Hm. Seems counterproductive. And also an assumption, as there were sinks all around and hidden and he could have already done it.

That all gender bathroom one makes me so uncomfortable. Trans people are constantly getting attacked because we are supposedly causing problems in bathrooms, meanwhile this (supposedly cishet) woman is harassing strangers and filming in the bathroom. That guy at the end that she called out, after talking about, "obviously a guy went in that one" was clearly so uncomfortable by her. In fact, all the men were clearly made uncomfortable by her, which I find interesting. And also, the "obviously a guy went in that one" comment is just weird, because I've been in plenty of mens and womens restrooms, and on average, in my experience, the men's restroom is way cleaner and nicer than the women's, so like, what?! If it's a mess, I'd personally immediately assume a woman was the last to use it, if anyone. God, just so weird and gross and frustrating, and makes me so uncomfortable. Like, why as trans people are we made to feel like we are the problem, when there are women like that harassing people and filming them in the bathroom?! And uploading unconsenting people's faces online! None of them consented to that at all. Just ew.
That is illegal to film others in the bathroom! She should have been reported and arrested. I am sure as a CIS straight, I would have been all up in her business and called the cops on her for filming in the bathroom, followed her out of the bathroom to film her, and tracked her so I could point her out to the police. OMG!

Have I ever been in an all gender bathroom? Yes. For every year of my life. That's what bathrooms are in houses. That's also what the "Family" restrooms in Wal-Marts are. Or just the general restrooms that are in small stores. I think the lady who made that video has lived a very strange, very abnormal life if she's never seen a gender neutral bathroom before.
To be honest though, all of those examples are usually just single stall. I don't think I've actually ever been in one where there's multiple stalls like that and I could actually encounter a man washing his hands next to me, that would feel like a new experience for sure. That being said I absolutely wouldn't start filming strangers about it, that was unhinged
@@rachelbrown4644 Google headquarters in NY, when I last interviewed there, had gender-neutral bathrooms: There was one common "lobby" with the sinks in it, and individual self-contained rooms that had the urinal or toilet bowl. It meant that the stalls were _actually _*_more private_* than in a traditional sex-specific bathroom.
I have to wonder if all the freaking out over trans people going to the bathroom is due to the terrible stalls we have with their 1 inch gap on each side. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s Suzy or Scott though, I don’t want anyone looking through at me when I’m just trying to go to the bathroom.

On a positive note btw (on the topic of restrooms), when the school my daughter attend (in Sweden we call it "högstadied" ages 13-15) got their first non binary student, they changed all restrooms to be gender neutral. (They wasn't before, the school it selfe is build in the 60-ies).

@@quixote1965 i'm not trans and most of the time no, trans people that have fully transitioned cannot be differentiated from cis people. some females have overly masculine features, some males have overly feminine features, but that doesn't automatically mean they are trans. you "transvestigators" get it wrong far more often than you get it right. a cis woman was even murdered this year because someone thought she was trans.
There are some people who are unfortunately screwed over by puberty, and no amount of effort will hide their genetic sex. They are usually the ones who suffer the most from transphobes, and those who can pass transphobes usually don't even think they exist.
You can tell. My 6 year old can tell. It just happened. We were shopping in a store and the clerk was clearly a trans woman. Had man's voice. As a CIS - straight - female, I honestly wouldn't recognize a trans woman in the bathroom with me. I would see them as a woman. I see humans in the women's bathroom that could be either male, female, or non-binary as they are gender neutral, and I don't even try to figure out what their gender is. I mean, I sure as hell am not going to be looking at their genital areas. These people are some of the scariest, perverted people I have ever seen. WTF? Maybe the women's bathrooms and the men's bathrooms should ban Transphobes completely and make them hold it till they get home. I mean it is a hate crime to do these things and say these things about trans people!
I have had to go into the women's bathroom with my friend who is a trans woman because she unfortunately very much looks like she went through male puberty and everyone misgenders her based on her height, her wide shoulders and her very deep voice. And yet she is afraid to use a public toilet without a friend to "vouch" for her. I would love it if every bathroom was all gender and eventually people would just be used to it and no one would think it was a big deal.
Right??? People who go out of their way to police other people in the bathrooms are the real creeps. I'm going there to poop or pee, why would anyone else care if other people there are trans or cis?? Just do your business and go!
On top of all that hate, it's so blatant when the cis men try to pretend it's for the womenfolk's safety, when not only is there no additional risk, they've never cared before until they got the brilliant idea we'd be their perfect weapon. If abusers can get us in our bedrooms, that little stick figure sign never protected us either, so let our sisters in so we can focus on stuff that matters.
I love the idea of transphobes "just holding it till they get home" yeah, some things should not be done in public! like bigotry and hate, do that behind your own bedroom doors. I do not need to experience that. and think about the children! they should nit be exposed to such behaviour!
IKR? How would they know? If their answer is to start lifting up skirts or peering under the toilet door? I'm telling you now, a lot of perverts are gonna get kicked in the head.
As a cisgender bisexual, It's not okay to make any hateful comments against the transgender community. With everything going on in the world, we have much bigger issues going on than to argue about something if it allows a person to find peace and happiness truly. No, we're not okay, just like anyone else right now. My husband is thankful for his role as a member of our house. Any hateful comments to the transgender community that person needs to seek therapy.
We spend so long arguing with each other over concepts that have already been proven that we forget that the world is burning and we really need to sort it out😅
So what do you deem to be hateful comments or not? Is criticism of or objecting to bullying, harassment, assault, homophobia, toxic behaviour, misogyny, incitement to violence, rape and death threats, doxing and swatting included in that? Is it transphobic if a trans person does any of those things and is deemed responsible and accountable for their behaviour?
@NewSpirituality I can click on your profile picture and see in another comment you were calling Jamie, a trans man, not an actual man. That's a good example of transphobia you didn't list for some reason🤔
That made me wonder just how scripted that whole thing was (note that I get that feeling a lot with these things). But if it *is* true, the bit about how he won't eat if she doesn't feed him put the tin lid on it. Like, a real man can't know how to feed himself?
And to think I was miffed when my (then) husband started cooking something else when I'd already made dinner for everyone. If I'd been expected to prepare another whole meal... No.

Omg this just reminded me of a story! For some unknown reasons my university changed the labels on the bathrooms during the summer. I was there during the transition back. So one day I'm in the shower and I hear a masculine voice come in. I can't remember if they were maybe on the phone or taking to someone outside or something but they sounded male. I totally freaked out and started screaming about a man in the women's room. Oh wait. Actually, no. I quietly continued my shower and made sure not to exit the curtains until I heard them leave. I didn't call attention to our differences, it might have been a safety issue or just embarrassing for one of us. After, I simply went to the resident assistant and asked them to have a floor meeting to decide which bathroom would be which for the school year. It's literally that easy to not be a jerk.
Good on you for being a decent person :) my boss (who's a very butch lesbian, sometimes mistaken for a trans man), was using our single-stall women's restroom, after leaving a woman accosted her and loudly asked if she was in the men's room with her son?? Like ma'am there is ONE stall, nobody can go after your son. Apparently she got really embarrassed after being shown what the bathrooms looked like.
I cried the day my daughter was born. She just got engaged and I can tell you with all confidence I will cry at her wedding. If that makes me gay then I guess I'm gay.
Filming in a public restroom? WTF? That woman is terrifying. I'd be creeped the F out by her. I have a strong feeling she'd make me feel uncomfortable in the ladies' room too.

I think it's hilarious that that person thinks that men crying on their wedding day is a "trend." This has been a common response to seeing the bride walk down the aisle for at least all of my 38 years of life. There's nothing trendy or feminine about it. It's a natural reaction to an incredibly touching moment that they've been waiting for for months or years.
The thing is they think it’s a trend because of social media making everything public before social media if a groom cried at seeing his bride they said that he was just so happy now however with social media the toxic alpha male mindset is front and centre as soon as these so called manly men see a guy crying on their wedding day they call him gay
Am I a part of the LGBTQ+ community in any way shape or form? No. Will I continue to absorb Jamie's content and be obsessed with his videos? Yes. Edit: Thanks for the really sweet replies - I appreciate it ❤️

And then when it proved to be insanely popular, some of them tried to rewrite the script to say that the movie actually fit their views. I doubt any of them know that their buzzwords actually mean. They're just words they've arbitrarily decided mean bad things that are vague enough to attribute to anything and anyone they don't like.
It's honestly funny watching them get all panicky whenever I ask what they think "woke" means. They never even answer the question - even after I changed the question to give them more room with their answers. Gone from "could you define 'woke' for me?" To "what do you think woke means - or what does it mean to you?" Absolutely no response any time.

One of the funniest moments in my transition was when someone at my university just pulled off the gender signs on the bathroom doors and at the time I was a new student so I just assumed the bathrooms were gender neutral. I walked into the men's room and every guy in there looked so unsettled like deer in headlights and I only realized why afterwards (and had a good laugh about it with my friends and boyfiriend). Me being forced to use the men's room regularly in public spaces would by far be more uncomfortable for everyone else than if I just keep using the women's room as I have for the past several years lmao
My first day in the dorm in college (when I was still masc-presenting), I saw a door with a sign that said "Men's room" and almost went inside. Luckily, I didn't, because it was just some random girl's dorm room, and she had thought it was funny to put a sign that said "Men's room" on her door.
I took a grant applicant to our public library and he saw his first all-gender restroom. Men's and women's were a few yards away. It would depend on the state. That looked a lot like DFW to me, but I don't know what privacy laws Texas has regarding bathrooms. Plus, airports look very similar, so maybe it wasn't DFW. Could have been anywhere, I suppose.
What even is the deal with bathrooms these days? I remember being like 15 and seeing people I presumed to be cis men in the women's bathroom, and no one cared. I just figured the men's was closed for cleaning or was out of paper or that they were in there with a small daughter who was just starting to go by herself but not *completely* by herself. I used the men's when the women's was occupied or out of order, and no one cared. Just build stalls so we don't have the stupid gaps and make all bathrooms all-gender.
Same here. No one batted an eye, because it used to be assumed that there was a logical reason for it (as you mentioned above). And this is coming from a small conservative town.
I've always found the idea of laundry being a "feminine task" to be wild. Mostly because my parents split up the household chores a lot differently when I was growing up. My mom can cook. My dad's bad at it. So mom does the cooking. Dad's really neat and organized so he does the dishes and the laundry. Mom works from home so she pays the bills, but Dad likes spreadsheets so he writes the budget. The take turns mowing the lawn (now that they're empty nesters without two kids in the house to make do it, that is! Lmao!) So like, the idea that laundry is a feminine task is weird because my dad *always* did the laundry.

Specifically a line from Caleb (played by Liam) to Essek (NPC played by Matt): "You are not born with venom in your veins. It is learned."
Guys, I have a definition of woman for when anyone asks: Someone that feels comfortable using feminine pronouns and being referred to with feminine pronouns.
We do pretend to be people we aren't, but then we come out. I catfished everyone in my life including myself for over a decade. I convinced everyone I was a cis guy and not a nonbinary person. 😂
another fun video idea would be the "we can always tell" people who get it wrong. I follow a creator on fb who constantly gets called "a man" and comments on his adams apple. Trans masc, of course. his currently working page is "Trans Guy Peter Parker Webshooting Inclusivity Hour" (transphobes got his main page 'Trans Skater Boyfriend' demonetized) and he posts pictures with comments from the comment section overlaid, and it's always things like "you'll NEVER be a woman!!" and hes like "aww thanks what a great ally"
Trans Skater Boyfriend!! I see screenshots of people trying to misgender him all the time and it’s so damn funny. I experience the same thing as a trans man with long hair and an actual sense of style. “I can tell you’re a MAN!! Your bone structure is CLEARLY MASCULINE!!” It just comes off as super aggressive affirmation and I love it.
Those we can always tell people are hilarious, they can never tell, and they're making great accidental ally moments, they're also mistaking cis women/men for trans and trans men/women for cis, because they can always tell :D
@@Mars-jf4gyyou'll be a woman! You're clearly a man! Enjoy your gender affirmation :p (i really hope nothing said was offensive, not my first language so i miss a lot of words and i can read stuff the wrong way, i meant it in a joking way because from what i understood you're trans masc, again, sorry if something i said was offensive)
honestly i felt so sorry for that first guy in the bathroom. could feel the cringe through the screen. man just wants to pee and he's getting a camera shoved in his face
There are many reasons that a grown man doesn’t like certain foods (ie. autism) and that doesn’t make them childish, or a bad person. But making food you know they won’t eat is purposefully spiteful. However, if he chooses not to eat rather than make his own food, it isn’t her responsibility to feed him, and choosing to do so is her choice, but to simultaneously try to publicly shame him makes the situation even worse on her part.
Btw yes in America bathroom stalls have a like 1 and a half foot gap at the bottom and go about 6 feet (180 cm) for walls. It is disturbing how someone can stand up and you can make eye contact with them. This is WORSE in schools where they tend to be even shorter. Ive been in a school where It went up to the bottom of my boobs. You may say "but they're for kids who are shorter" Then where are the adult bathrooms? Ohh yea locked and reserved for staff use.
If I have to choose between sharing a bathroom with folks of all genders who are minding their iwn business and sharing a bathroom with someone who thinks it's okay to film total strangers in a public bathroom.... THAT'S what should be against the law in public bathrooms, folks. Cameras.
That last video gave me a vibe. Idk, it's definitely not okay to refuse to eat something that was made for you, but at the same time she could also communicate with him and make meals that the two of them would enjoy.
That last guy just shows that some people never grow out of being spoiled brats. I half-expected him to swat the nachos away, cross his arms and demand chicken nuggies while pouting.
As a Cis straight man, I can confirm that doing my laundry, licking ice cream, spelling out "okay", saying "hi/hey" etc. my whole life has not reduced my masculinity one iota and I wonder what events traumatized these Alpha Chad wannabes into such a fragile state where their sense of self identity hinges on things like not being responsible for themselves in their own home and not being able to spell properly.
O.O you just made me realise that one day, we're going to see the Chad/Incel version of that concerning Michelle Rodriguez film where she plays a cisgender male* assassin who is abducted and put through the full face off transition without his consent so he presents as a woman (it's revenge for something he did previously). It's awful, but we're absolutely going to be put through a version where a Chaddic dude is assaulted and turned into an incel or, even more likely, an incel gets turned into a Chad intentionally, and regrets it for one dumb reason (not actual dysmorphia, body horror or because me never consented, it'll be that his mum doesn't recognise him or his gorgeous female friend who he always considered a Becky tells him how weird it is and refuses to be his friend anymore).
Sorry for everything going on in the UK at the minute. Down here in Australia I'm thankfully in a pretty good state, but my family are elsewhere and trying to stop the ban on conversion therapy, which is pretty distressing. I'm not out to them, but it's just kinda terrifying to know your own family would put you through that if they had the opportunity
It’s so odd to me that people feel so strange about all-gender bathrooms. Especially the “this has sealed doors, that’s good in an all gender bathroom.” I find that odd, sealed doors are good anywhere! You shouldn’t have to deal with anyone watching you go to the toilet, it doesn’t matter if they’re whatever gender, it’s your body! I’ve yet to wrap my head around all of the reasoning for the attitude towards it, it makes very little sense.
That's kinda weird, because separating the places was made (supposedly) to be better for privacy, so something where people see less of stranger should be better, right?
Always said it; the more a guy chest thumps about their masculinity and the more rules they invent, the more insecure and pathetic they really are. I have yet to find the opposite occur. Also, "non woke" is one of the most eye rolling grifts ever.
It's doubly eye rolling when you ask them what "woke" even means; and they stumble through a mumbled definition which essentially boils down to "treating everyone with respect, not being bigoted or hateful, etc etc". Great, so you've just admitted then that you're pro-hatred and bigotry. Well done. 🤦
Jaimie I am a cisgender straight 62 year old grandmother. I was lucky to have been raised by loving spiritual parents who accepted every person as they were. My oldest sister told me once she was ace and my other sister, closest in age to me who passed several years ago, was bisexual and married to a lovely woman. I am blessed to have been taught to be open, but it wasn’t until recently that I needed to learn more about the trans community. At 11, my granddaughter at the time said she wanted to be a boy and my daughter and her husband have supported him now by letting him dress as his gender, a boy and now that he has started middle school, they have informed the school of this and his new preferred name. They are taking one step at a time. I also have a good friend that I would have never known was transmale, and he is offering advice when needed. I must say that your channel has been of the greatest support and help for intelligent information!Thank you so much and much love to you and your lovely wife !!!❤
Love you Jammidodger and Shaaba!! That poor 11-year-old is being *groomed* to hate people who don't affect his life at all. He's just doing what grownups tell him. I want to see him at 21 in the hope that he's escaped their *indoctrination.* I was forced into a super right-wing evangelical hypochristian church 8 years, from 8-16. And as cis bi-romantic ace, boy did that church suck. They kind of left me alone after a while because unlike the other kids who were smoking and drinking, then acting pious on Sunday, I didn't get baptized in my teens because I didn't want to lie. That was a weird time. Anyway, to update you on my travels into "who I am" near the end of my middle-age heading to old person territory, I'm still bi-romantic Ace but I've been flirting pretty heavily with two different lesbians who both work at grocery stores. They're just so pure and honest. And very visually appealing. I haven't got the second woman's name yet, even though she's a manager. I didn't think to read her name tag. But Nicole introduced herself to me last time I was at the store where she works. So now we know each other's names. And we know we both like cats, never got married, and never had kids. I have SUCH a crush on her, but today I met an equally esthetically pleasing, friendly and outgoing woman. She has a natural rizz about her. They're probably both in relationships, but I can still look and do some minor flirtage. Anyway, if I posted this on other social media my dad or other assorted relatives might see. I know they wouldn't say anything, but at the same time ... maybe later. I'm such a coward, still. But I had to tell someone, so I'm telling UA-cam. I'm almost freaking FIFTY-SIX and it took my mom dying this summer for me to realize there's no time like the present to be who you are. I already told my stepdad back in 2017, and later I explained it to my mom and she was very understanding. I mean, she couldn't fathom not wanting to have sex, but she tried to understand. They were both basically like, "Oh, okay. Do you want to stay for dinner?" So I'm gonna talk with the lady I met today next time I see her and ask her pronouns. Because I'm just guessing, and it's a not-so-subtle hint that I am "of the queers." My roomie is a lesbian and calls herself "of the gays," so that's where I got it. Thanks, random anyone who read this far. Jammidodger's comments section has become my spill zone. I'm weird af sometimes, yet boring. Shit, it's 1AM I have to get to bed. Peace!
I was a student worker at my university and the building my office was in had an all gender restroom with floor to ceiling stalls and a shared area with sinks and mirrors, and it was great! I don't know that there were any others like it on campus but it still wasn't so cool or diffrrent that I would film or even take pictures, because its still a public restroom
Something that always bothered ie when they say if your (insert masculine name) you can’t be (insert feminine name). They act as if some women don’t have more traditionally masculine names. Also the whole name change thing in general ignores the fact that some cis people have changed their name too.
2:44 & 21:39 the thing about "feminine responsibilities" that I always wonder is how do men without such skills survive if they're single? Do they eat out every day because cooking is "feminine?" Do they live in filth because cleaning and laundry is "feminine?" These aren't gendered tasks, they're basic life skills that all adults should have.
It is funny how much those types of guys make big talk about being strong masculine males but will think of a million ways that can be destroyed by an action as simple as saying "hi" differently. Way to shoot yourselves in the foot and create a self-made minefield for no reason. On a side note, Shaaba both jumpscared me with that knock and made the AD part even sweeter. You both enjoy that cottage pie!
My housemate does not understand being transgerd or NB is not a deep dark secret. She is in her 80's and was married to a person who never came out..He lived in the closet his whole life. I am so sad for both of them. She is a very sweet person, and from what I have seen, her spouse was so cool. They loved Laurie Anderson music and all kinds of Science Fiction. I wish they could have just been themselves 100%😢 Now it's to late. This Halloween I am going to include them as a person of honor during ritual. Why? For just one night they deserve to walk free..
Cool people in their generation often had to hide stuff...and it was often orientation-related...the rules were so strict then and ostracism so total, you tended never to break them unless you were in some outgroup to begin with...
"A man is a man, and a woman is a woman, that's just common sense" is such a common excuse for transphobia, and it's a bullshit one. The thing is that they're painting gender as a thing that's like "its only these two things, its just that simple, no need to complicate it." but that's the thing. There is literally not a single thing in the entire universe we reside in that is simple. It only appears simple because that is only what you limit your knowledge of the subject to be. If these knuckleheads took the time to learn even more about the subject with an open mind, I highly doubt their opinion is going to stay the exact same.

The first two times I used public all-gender bathrooms/restrooms were first when I was about 13 on a school trip to France in a French service station. It was mildly weird to share the sinks with not just girls/women but the stalls were sealed so I didn't really care. What I remember of the crap lighting was honestly odder. Then I went to a camp as a uni student (age 19ish) and discovered the main loos were a communal set where you climbed up into a moveable loo block thing with both several stalls and a couple of urinals in the open (mostly at the far end from the entrance). The stalls were a little more gappy than usual for the UK but still sealed and everyone was honestly pretty good at being private/discreet as possible. It got normal pretty quickly and I was far more concerned about it being flipping freezing cold (it was November in Wales) and the sinks being tiny to try and use for brushing your teeth. Seriously all you need is a couple of minutes to adjust your attitude and respect between people. Let people go to the loo in peace.
There is something that deeply depresses me about homophobic (against gay guys) females specifically. Maybe I've grown accustomed to Women being generally the face of progressive values, what with all media I consume, but seeing women try to enforce "masculinity" is something that disturbs me profoundly.
Back when I was living as a man, women I dated would tell me not to wear bright colors, or that it was "gay" to listen to Madonna or Katy Perry. It turns out I actually am gay, because I'm a lesbian, and now I'm wearing gorgeous frilly pink dresses and listening to whatever I want.
yeah same but the other way around. They went u must be lesbian because you're the most macho human i've ever seen. Jamie, you're completely right about the bathroom stalls in the US. They have huge gaps in the door hinges and at the bottoms of the stalls so you can see people's feet. For some people, it's uncomfortable to be in the bathroom with anybody because the door gaps are awful.
I couldn't believe the person filming the bathroom didn't like stop after a few seconds. Wtf is wrong with people 🤦♀️ You're the only one making it creepy ma'am!!

@@ShinyTillDawn Which is funny because they dont actually dominate womens sports, thats just downright misinformation, and while they share locker rooms, they dont cause any problems so i dont see the issue.
@@pencilwren Part of why they don't dominate women's sports is that they're constantly prevented from participating due to the speculation that male puberties give trans women biological advantages (though access to privatized coaching is another contributing issue). Also, you can't guarantee that every cis woman would feel safe if they saw a pre-op trans woman in the same locker room. However, the trans woman doesn't have another choice.
13:56 "[trans people] think all that matters is appearance" A supremely ignorant view. Trans people must inevitably adopt at least some of the trappings of their gender out of pressure from cis people. For one thing, there is cis people's disapproval of cross-dressing. For another, you have to make your gender pretty obvious to cis people, and your presentation is a good way of doing that.
Yeah, I had to turn down a free T-shirt today because T-shirts are too androgynous. I have to wear very feminine dresses in order to avoid getting misgendered. If I was cis, I would probably be more of a jeans and T-shirt girl.
as a trans person I've pretended for long enough, so every halloween I dress as myself (it helps that I already like dressing like a Witch, so I may just don a witch hat)
All the people who have never been in an all-gender bathroom - where the heck are they coming from?? I thought maybe it's a USA thing and you don't have many of those or something. But no, I was recently talking to a woman from Moscow (I live in Siberia myself), and she was so disgusted when she confirmed that of course she has never been in an all-gender bathroom! She hasn't even seen a sign for one! And I was like... how... both where I live AND in Moscow AND other Russian cities there are lots of all-gender bathrooms, esp in restaurants...
In the USA people pretend these are duper unusual. However in most smaller businesses or small offices (for example less than 15 people to share a bathroom) there is typically only 1 gender neutral bathroom. Even in shopping malls as far back as I can remember (I'm 36 and spent the majority of my tweens and teens in malls) there's male, female, and family bathrooms. The family bathrooms were gender neutral so any parents could take any kids they needed all to one place, and instead of multiple stalls it was just one larger room (with a lock of course) with 2 toilets,1 for adults and 1 for kids, and 2 sinks, 1 for adults and 1 for kids, and a changing table. Anyone could use them if they wanted. A lot of wheelchair users also prefer them because it's more spacious than the stalls in the other bathrooms, plus they can more easily get a helper in there if needed. Those were in every restroom area of every mall in the 90s-2000s that I went to. The only places that have strictly gendered bathrooms are typically very large offices, schools, etc. And even then there are many instances where people use different ones based on convenience, ESPECIALLY women will go to the men's if there's no line for the men's but there is for the women's. In honesty having 2 bathrooms would seem to be more practical for larger places and I suppose they just default to gendering them. I think I would be a bit surprised to see a super public gender neutral bathroom like the one in the video, but not shocked enough to make a whole video 😂 I might comment that wow that's different and then never think of it again lol
Literally thought someone was at our door, until I heard Shaba. 😭 Gotta say, though, that this was one of the best ad inserts I've seen. They were both so freaking cute with it.

That’s what i was thinking!
I was talking to mal, and nor had the audacity to be mad that I used mals pronouns! Nor started muttering to norself about ‘stupid woke mob’ and I tried very politely to asked mal if nor was okay.

Can you use them in a sentence so I can use them correctly when referring to you????!?!?!" the death glares and the flashes of anger going over some of these people's faces when I do that is pure delight.
Perfect response!
Those are the exact type of people that you inform "I/me are pronouns. Good luck with your life not using them."
I can't 🤣
So mal pronouns are "bad"/"evil" (mal in latin)?
i love the guy who was like "my pronouns are you/are/a/fucking/moron!" i was like "well everybody, you heard moron, fucking doesn't want to be referred to as anything other than fucking moron. it would be disrespectful of moron to refuse to use fucking preferred pronouns."
The one about men crying at their weddings is SO FUNNY to me bc it’s basically just like “hey if a man finds a woman SO OVERWHELMINGLY BEAUTIFUL that it literally brings him to tears, that obviously means that he’s attracted to men!”
Make it make sense 😭😭
Because being emotional means being more feminine, which means liking women makes you more like a lesbian than a man.
I did my best to make it make sense and I think I lost brain cells in the process.

@@animeotaku307 describing having emotions as more feminine is sexist, and harmful to men because it shapes the faulty perception of themselves so many of us are plagued with. Women aren't more emotional than men, they have been told it was ok, while we've been told "boys don't cry".

The only thing that would make me uncomfortable in the bathroom is someone filming me! Yuck!
I completely agree, I'm cisgender and pretty socially awkward so I wish that all public bathrooms were just individual rooms without any shared space whatsoever.
My college does this to! It’s such a simple but good idea that makes a lot of people feel better!

There's even some kind of expeession around it, going something like:"Who washes their hands after they pee, has a dirty d***."
Yes, many cis guys are hella disgusting🙃
tbh yeah leaving without washing ur hands is gross but like if i was him i would leave as fast as i can
You first point out that filming people in a private space is creepy and then you proceed to … shame one of the filmed people for their behaviour in said space?

Good on you for being a decent person :) my boss (who's a very butch lesbian, sometimes mistaken for a trans man), was using our single-stall women's restroom, after leaving a woman accosted her and loudly asked if she was in the men's room with her son?? another fun video idea would be the "we can always tell" people who get it wrong.
Your bone structure is CLEARLY MASCULINE!!”
It just comes off as super aggressive affirmation and I love it.
"Great at pretending to be something they're not."
Sir, you're right. I'm GREAT at pretending to be straight and cis and happy, who would've thought 😂
You may say "but they're for kids who are shorter"
Then where are the adult bathrooms? Ohh yea locked and reserved for staff use.
If I have to choose between sharing a bathroom with folks of all genders who are minding their iwn business and sharing a bathroom with someone who thinks it's okay to film total strangers in a public bathroom....
THAT'S what should be against the law in public bathrooms, folks. Cameras.

That last video gave me a vibe. Idk, it's definitely not okay to refuse to eat something that was made for you, but at the same time she could also communicate with him and make meals that the two of them would enjoy.
Why is it that transphobic/homophobic couples also can’t communicate with each other.
And he could also just make his own self some nachos. It's not like it's hard.

I'm not out to them, but it's just kinda terrifying to know your own family would put you through that if they had the opportunity
im so glad spain banned that bs. now its a crime. ofc it will exist clandestinely, but if they're found, they get taken down
It’s so odd to me that people feel so strange about all-gender bathrooms.
As a paruresis sufferer..I agree with this message..
@@UNSTABLE111 I hope that private and isolated toilets are always available for you. ::)
I must say that your channel has been of the greatest support and help for intelligent information!Thank you so much and much love to you and your lovely wife !!!❤
this is the most wholesome thing i've read today
That's really wholesome!
Do you want to stay for dinner?"
So I'm gonna talk with the lady I met today next time I see her and ask her pronouns.
Peace!
Happy spooky month! Nothing scarier than homophobia/transphobia :(
True!
I was a student worker at my university and the building my office was in had an all gender restroom with floor to ceiling stalls and a shared area with sinks and mirrors, and it was great! I don't know that there were any others like it on campus
but it still wasn't so cool or diffrrent that I would film or even take pictures, because its still a public restroom
Something that always bothered ie when they say if your (insert masculine name) you can’t be (insert feminine name). They act as if some women don’t have more traditionally masculine names. Also the whole name change thing in general ignores the fact that some cis people have changed their name too.
I'm a cis-het woman but I use "OK" and "Hey". So I guess I've got real mixed energy 😂

2:44 & 21:39 the thing about "feminine responsibilities" that I always wonder is how do men without such skills survive if they're single? Do they eat out every day because cooking is "feminine?" Do they live in filth because cleaning and laundry is "feminine?" These aren't gendered tasks, they're basic life skills that all adults should have.
some do because they're losers, so yeah

It is funny how much those types of guys make big talk about being strong masculine males but will think of a million ways that can be destroyed by an action as simple as saying "hi" differently. Way to shoot yourselves in the foot and create a self-made minefield for no reason.
On a side note, Shaaba both jumpscared me with that knock and made the AD part even sweeter. You both enjoy that cottage pie!
If you _were_ one of those type guys, you would know all the ways you can be destroyed by simple actions...but YOU. COULD. EXPLAIN. _NOTHING!!!_
If these knuckleheads took the time to learn even more about the subject with an open mind, I highly doubt their opinion is going to stay the exact same.
no, its biology and hasn't be disputed for over a hundred years. Learn to live in reality with the rest of us....or dont 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂ We don't give a fk anymore.....
@@mroselli for people who “don’t give a fk” yall seemed to be pretty vocal when expressing your hate towards trans people lol. And about that first part, you’re literally proving my point because being there is nothing about being trans that denying biology. Being trans is about having a gender that isn’t the same as the biological sex. There’s nothing about it that’s against biology lol, although you would know that if you ever researched it…
Also, the concept of a gender biology was invented by the United Kingdom during its colonial period.
I'd be so annoyed if I went into a restroom in an airport and someone came in and started filming me and asking questions! What is wrong with people?!
And i joke with no, its not that i'm lesbian, the only thing that r now separates me from being a dude is my clam. My friends laugh at my joke but ffs.
They're progressive but they also unconsciously perpetrate the stereotype. @@electronics-girl
Jamie, you're completely right about the bathroom stalls in the US. They have huge gaps in the door hinges and at the bottoms of the stalls so you can see people's feet. For some people, it's uncomfortable to be in the bathroom with anybody because the door gaps are awful.

I think I would be a bit surprised to see a super public gender neutral bathroom like the one in the video, but not shocked enough to make a whole video 😂 I might comment that wow that's different and then never think of it again lol
the knocking scared the shite out of me ngl
