"Why are you looking angry? Why are you crying? I'm simply observing upon plain, obvious facts of biology.
"Or maybe there's more to being a woman, more to being a mother, than biology? Maybe you should show your fellow humans a tiny bit of respect?

Like this is not a nice thing to do, but if you do it by accident - you just say sorry, and try to not do it again. And everything is fine.
But if when someone points out that you are standing on their foot and instead of moving you shift more weight into it - that just makes you a mean jerk.

Teaching your children to hate is horrible. I'm not saying you can't do it fuck knows i cant stop you, but you should have some moral qualms about what you're saying???
the left is not trying to teach kids how to gay, not trying to teach them about gay sex any younger than straight sex. it's simply "these people exist, they are normal, they are people, they are human." to avoid hate. there is a ridiculous amount of hate and violence out of pure ignorance and fear/hatred of the unknown. Teaching your children "these people are shameful, dont go near them, we dont like them" spreads into their classrooms, imagine a child with gay parents- what if your child hears about that. how would you want them to respond??? trying to keep children away from it leads to confusion, fear and hate.

Come on, you know that is not what it means. Use some common sense. Humans are born with 2 arms and two legs and so on, however, a child born with one arm or one leg is STILL HUMAN. So even though you cant have children, you are still an adult human female. Women who are a certain age, going through menopause, cannot have children either, still women. Transwomen, however, NEVER had the capasity for producing eggs, something only the female of the species can do. The male of the species produce sperm. That is pure biological fact. Intresex people also produce only eggs or sperm.

the comparison of arm and human thing is weird, we’re not talking abt whether or not someone is human we’re talking gender, something that from MULTIPLE health sites has been proven to be more so internal rather than external “that is a pure biological fact”(you). “Gender identity is how you feel and identify, and can be as a female, male, or both. Gender is typically assigned at birth, based on a baby having the outward appearance (genital organs) of either a male or a female as per a social construct of a binary system of two genders (male or female).
If your gender identity matches the gender assigned to you at birth, this is called cisgender. For example, if you were born biologically as a male, and you identify as a man, you are a cisgender man.
Transgender refers to identifying as a gender that is different from the biological gender assigned when you were born. For example, if were born biologically female and were assigned a female gender, but you feel a deep inner sense of being a man, you are a transgender man.(Medline plus) do u disagree with science?

Define misgendering, because if you can tell someone was born a woman for an example & said excuse me mam, but they turn out to be a trans female aka man, is it really misgendering? Then what if they cuss you out? You have the right not to pretend to be blind.

First of all one small correction: You are talking about a trans man. Someone who was assigned female gender at birth but identifies as male.
Second, if you call them a gender that they don't identify as, that is misgendering. If it is an honest mistake (because for example they are pre-transition) then it's not great because gender disphoria is a thing, but it's also not a big deal.
The moment one does that intentionally one becomes the asshole.

If you're born as a female, I'm going to call you a female, I refuse to pretend like you're something you're not. Unlike the anti trans propaganda would have you believe, no one is performing surgery or giving hormones to 6 year olds.

If you are pursing a romantic relationship then obviously that is a completely different scenario but if you just met somebody or your talking to them and they tell you their trans and your first thought is to ask them about their genitals like the polition in this video did? Then yes that is a problem and you should not do that.

I see a lot of people who suffer from gender dysphoria mistake this with social intolerance and open themselves up to mental distress as a result. Proper therapy is what's needed here. To the woman at 18:35 who smugly told the misgendered trans woman that she wasn't "strong enough" to be a woman after being misgendered: every girl and woman has gone through situations where another person (often a man) has made them uncomfortable, and they could not respond in the moment. Maybe they had the freeze response, or maybe they wanted to clap back in response, but they knew that if they stood up for themselves then they might be murdered. Instead of feeling superior to a trans woman who is being vulnerable on tiktok, maybe sympathize with her. And if this cis woman has been misgendered before and she's bringing it up like this, then of course it affected her. She's not better than the trans woman who was misgendered and upset by it.

I'm a cis guy who recently came out as pansexual so I'm cool with dating any gender identity but when I still identified as straight I matched with a trans woman on a dating app and had a whole internal conversation on whether it was somewhat gay if I dated someone who had a penis. I realized most of my concerns came from worrying about how other people would percive me because I was definitely attracted to the trans woman but it still brought up a lot of internalized homophobia. We didn't end up dating but fast forward a couple years and shortly after coming out I started dating a trans man and I had sorta the opposite internal conversation of "Is this fully gay since he hasn't had bottom surgery?" Then i had some doubt of my own sexuality and after being with a cis man and a trans woman I realized for me it still feels more gay to be with a trans man than a trans woman regardless of the genitalia situation. I definitely still have a lot to learn about sexuality and gender identity but it's been very eye opening experience to explore my sexuality. I still have a lot of prejudice to unpack and ideas to unlearn but I'm very happy that being trans is becoming more socially acceptable, we still have a long way to go as a culture but we have made a lot of progress and I truly believe I'll live to see the day where sexuality and gender identity aren't hot button issues and people can live their lives without fear of persecution.

I think often times, people say "I'm not attracted to trans women" but that's not entirely what they mean. They may still feel attracted to let's say a trans women that looks & presents feminine in every way.
It kinda has the same energy as women who say "all men are trash" while dating a man and having a good relationship.
Or when a transphobe says they hate pronouns. This is the silliest one of them all.

Though I agree about the education thing. There's always gonna be people subconsciously seeing differences between trans and cis people of a gender. It's all good though. As long as you still respect them and their gender identities.

Maybe it's because I'm old, non-binary, had gender dysphoria for the longest time, am pansexual, or have a many loved ones that are trans...but the question 'Would you date/sleep with a trans person!?' always irks me the wrong way.
I never got it. My answer; Yes, and I have in the past. It's like for the person asking, being 'trans' is being less of a human...
I do understand that people have preferences that they cannot change, BUT there's a respectful way to share it...and there's transphobia.
Nearly 2 decades ago I had a lesbian friend who was hit on by a trans woman. They clicked and it was going smoothly, but she straight-forwardly cut it off and said she could only be friends when she learned she was pre-op trans. At first I was really put off by it, but she explained to me that she simply 'couldn't do with penises'. She also told me 'I may sincerely fall in love with her, but I would never be able to love 100% of her, and she deserve to be loved wholly' and I understood.
Of course it's okay to not be attracted to certain genders and biology...but don't be awful about it.

As a cis woman who had a hysterectomy (for medical reasons), and is aroace, listening to these people defining a "real" woman is always surreal to me, because most of the time they end up excluding _many_ cis women, such as myself. When they can define women in a way that doesn't exclude people they would totally consider women, then they can claim it has a simple definition on their side (albeit, not fully correct as it excludes trans women and includes trans men and enbies who were afab), but at least they would be _consistent._
Instead they equate a uterus or menstruation or motherhood with womanhood and that means girls are women (they aren't, they are girls), anyone with a hysterectomy isn't a woman anymore, any infertile woman is no longer a woman, anyone post-menopause or pre-menarche or dealing with amenhhorea isn't a woman, anyone who chose not to have kids or simply hasn't had them yet isn't a woman, anyone who is unmarried isn't a woman, ... it is just ridiculous how they limit the concept of "woman" in their attempts to be transphobic. It is so fun to gotcha them on this, because my reason for my hysterectomy was cancer, and it makes them backpedal so fast when dealing with the "why don't you have kids?" people.
Also, I wouldn't date a trans person but I wouldn't date a cis person either. I don't date, because I am the sort of aroace who tried dating before I figured it out, didn't get anything out of it, and now I don't date and haven't for over a decade. I would totally hang out and get lunch or dinner, and be friends, though. I would also pretend to be dating someone to keep creeps away from them.

I found myself wondering whether it would matter if we dated and it turned out he had not had lower surgery, and how relevant the various physical ‘typical’ aspects of ‘manhood’ are to my core attraction toward other men; and indeed what constitutes a man to my primitive brain.
The answer I came to is ‘I’m not sure yet’, but if handled with a bit of thought, kindness and sensitivity, I reckon these things can be navigated in a way that respects all our differences, core needs and experiences.

As a trans guy, i think it's totally fine not being attracted to someone because their surgeries, or really any reason whatsoever. We can't choose who we're attracted to and why. For some people even something like a certain haircolour or voice can be a turnoff. It's completely logical that a person's genitals can be something important for attraction. It's fine if you don't wanna date someone because they're trans, it's only a problem if you start disrespecting them in normal day to day life, like misgendering them or treating them different from other friends. Attraction is important for dating and isn't something we can change, but it isn't important for platonic or professional relationships. And not being attracted to someone doesn't make that person any less of a man. He's just a man that isn't attractive to you. We aren't attracted to every person in our lives after all, regardless of gender. It's basically the same as being turned off because someone's junk size or height. Is it superficial? Maybe. But most physical attraction is. And thats fine. You might not date someone with a small dick or certain stature, but it doesn't stop you from being friends with them and respecting them.
Summed up: it's fine not being attracted to someone for whatever reason you have. It's better to stay as friends than to be in a relationship without attraction.

I'm very happy to hear about your openness! I am a GNC woman who is dating a trans man. It's perfectly fine if you aren't sure if you'd be in a relationship with a trans man or not. I would only suggest communicating that with any trans guy you happen to date, explaining you're open to the possibility but are still learning about it and you just aren't certain yet if it honors your own identity or not. Some trans people are totally open and willing to answer any questions one might have about transitioning, especially if you establish you're an ally and want to learn more. Of course no one is obligated to do so, and on the flipside of that it is many trans people are tired of having to answer everyone's questions or being the one to educate people. my boyfriend came out to me after we had already been dating for a while, but I'm pan so it didn't really impact my attraction or feelings towards him. Before he came out I knew little to nothing about trans people besides one trans girl I went to high school with. Over the years, I've tried to educate myself on trans issues and transitioning in general to try and be as supportive as i can be, but also going to him with questions because every trans person is different, not everyone experiences transitioning the same way.
      TLDR; Communication is everything.

Just remember this, people: sexuality is not a choice or a preference. It is inherent. It is also physical, involving involuntary chemical reactions to specific stimuli. To put it bluntly, some people don't want to be intimate with *anyone* who has a dick, and others want nothing to do with vaginas, regardless of the gender of the wielder. That is not a "genital preference," that is part of their sexuality. They can't change it, and most wouldn't change it if they could.
Second point: if someone doesn't want to date you or have sex with you, that should be the end of the conversation. Their reasons don't matter. No means no. Accusing them of this or that phobia is wheedling, and wheedling is part of rape culture.

Asking about someone’s private areas in a public forum is much more abusive than informing kids about the existence of LGBTQ+. Creating a false dichotomy of “chaos” vs. sex-as-assigned is is abusive and pedantic. • @SarastistheSerpent
      @SarastistheSerpent 7 місяців тому +40

“Female/male DNA” is a misnomer anyway, as there is technically no such thing. A person may have XX or XY chromosomes as part of their genotype, but that doesn’t actually mean that a person is female or male, respectively. About 1 in 20000 cis women have XY chromosomes. Males with XX chromosomes also exist (though they are rarer than XY females). It’s called de la chappelle syndrome, or XX male syndrome.
XX and XY chromosomes are only _associated_ with femaleness and maleness, because usually females have XX chromosomes and usually males have XY chromosomes, but the chromosomes themselves don’t actually have anything to do with whether a person is female or male. Y chromosomes normally carry an SRY gene which will cause a fetus to masculinize, but sometimes it will lack an SRY gene or the gene won’t express, and sometimes an X chromosome can carry an SRY gene.

You said "I think it would be great if people could learn and grow"
Actually, that's what happened to me.
I'm from Russia. I live in a conservative society where being gay is viewed as repulsive. When I was growing up, everyone around me was homophobic, transphobic and even denied the need of feminism. Being bisexual, I felt horrible growing up because I had this inner conflict of those views imposed on me and my true feelings. I wanted to understand it, I wanted to learn more. I started speaking to other people about their experiences, I started watching videos (in English of course as it's basically illegal in Russia to speak about LGBTQ+). I became a feminist (though I always felt that women should be treated better, now I share my views with other people who still don't think that feminism is good and I hope to change their minds too). I watched some of your videos where you spoke about your experience or made comments about transphobia and homophobia as well. I thank you for that. You've changed a lot of people. I notice that this approach is bizarre to most other cis people which is why I find some refuge here sometimes because (most) people in trans community have a healthier relationship with the concept of gender and it's refreshing, so hello to whoever made it to the end of this long comment 👋

I'm a cis woman who's first name is occasionally given to women but is almost always given to "boys" so i get misgendered very frequently in written communication or when someone who doesn't personally know me is talking about me to others, and it still makes me deeply uncomfortable and frustrated bc it just feels so Wrong
Maybe that means I'M not strong enough to be a woman... But i still am one

At the moment, i have no plans to date a trans person. However, if I ever fall in love with a girl and she turns out to be trans, I don’t see why I should just suddenly stop dating her if I love her
And to all you guys, girls, and everyone in between who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, I hope you find that significant other and are very happy with them!

That woman in the transphobic stitch after Dylan didn't enumerate a single criteria of womanhood that wasn't related to biological maternity. Not even "motherhood" as like a more inclusive concept (which still wouldn't be conflated with womanhood), but specifically childbirth and breastfeeding. Which is insane to me that that's all she thinks defines a woman.

💯. It sounds like she needs to spend less time on tictok and more time with a therapist. She has gotten it into her head the thing that makes her a woman is the ability to have children which there are so many women who can't for various reasons. Then it just shows how much Trans Men and non binary people don't or can't exist in this very toxic mindset.

If she thinks everything that defines a woman is child birth, she definitely shouldn't see me as a girl as I'm never ever betting pregnant no matter what, as that thought terrifies me
If she wants to misgender me, she's just a hypocrite 😈
