I don't think it would be much of an arching. Red is a strict professional and would not endanger an innocent for the sake of an arching since, much like his own family, he would see it as "out of bounds" while Victor's physical nature would make him impervious to traditional combat and his emotional nature leaves very little exploit. Neither would benefit from the process so it'd be a total wash (plus since Victor is only considered a 5, due to his pacifism, it'd be too under Red's radar to even bother)
who knows? This show has been an instant classic since it first started, there's a lot that should be done to get them bigger and I think a comic would definitely be a great way to go
Here's how I'd imagine if Red Death arched the Professor (I'm just calling him professor cuz his name is pretty long: *Red Death charges into the class on his steed* Red Death: *in his villainous voice* "Professor I have come for you Mwahahaha!" Professor: "Could you wait ten minutes, I'm just finishing a class?" Red Death *in his normal voice* "Oh sure I can wait, I'll just wait around the campus square in the meantime." *flies out through the hole in the window* *They eventually meet in the college campus square and commence a battle of epic proportions, then after some time an alarm on Red Death's watch goes off.* Red Death: "Oh quitting time already, want to grab a coffee?" Professor: *in their metallic endoskeleton* "Sure, I think the campus coffee place is still open this time of day and I'll pay if you want?" Red Death: "Great... I think the wife and I are hoping our daughter can go to this college in the future... Looks quite promising for my special girl." [SCENE] That's how I think it would go down at least XD
I don’t normally watch this show in full episodes have I enjoy it, but for that scene alone you just described I would absolutely watch a full episode because it would take a full episode to start them off right and do them justice
God, his compassion for his students is insane. He seems scary, but you know you could go to him if you were having trouble with assignment or were dealing with problems at home or something and he would be patient as fuck!
I love how the Monarch says hello to Dean. Like they're kind of friends. It's sweet. Shame that Dean is busy hating everything about his life at the moment.
The Monarch just being so nonchalant about it just makes it worse. Heck, the Monarch looks happy to see him and doesn't even appreciate how annoying he is towards Dean.
The monarch at this point may as well be Doc's frenemy, yeah he hates him but he can have moments where they just chill, he even knows his kids on a personal bases. They're family afterall, it is kinda nice how Hank seems to get along better with the Monarch, and Dean gets along better with Rusty. I wonder if now that the movies out, the rules have shifted with what the monarch is capable of getting away with? *Spoilers for those that haven't seen the movie* The monarch being Rusty's imperfect clone might make him classified as equal to or almost equal to Rusty, in the guilds and OSI's eyes. If that's the case does that mean Brock who was assigned to protect Doctor Venture is now incapable of harming the Monarch? Also I wonder if the monarch being an imperfect Rusty means he has the right to take partial custody of Dean and Hank? Granted they're grown up now so I guess not but still would be funny if he took Rusty to court just to be petty or for child support. I wonder if the check to leave Dean and his family alone would come into play? There's just so many more stories to share it really sucks this show got cancelled.
@@cgecko3 I don't think being a clone makes you the same person. I think it's more something where they are allowed to define their relationship. And it seems like both of them would rather be enemies. Which, as we have seen, isn't the least healthy relationship they could have
@@rosesweetcharlotte There's so much open ended nuance behind that philosophically speaking. They are two very different people yet they are also quite literally cut from the same cloth. I agree that they aren't the same they have enough to distinguish them from eachother but it is very interesting to think how other characters might perceive them now.
Damn, between Hellfire and Red Death, Venture Bros has been absolutely knocking it out of the park with super heroes/villains I would want to see get their own series.
The two of them make great examples of really powerful superhumans, with a high degree of lethality, who are nevertheless highly polite and respectful outside of combat situations. I suppose the difference (besides their moral alignments) is that Red Death, for all that he respects the work life balance, does enjoy his work as a supervillain, while Von Hellfire refused to engage until his students were threatened. Which is also probably why Red Death is a 10 but Von Hellfire is only a 5, the former is a long term part of this setup, while the latter seems to want nothing to do with arching.
Dammit, Gary! We all know Malc... er... The Mighty Monarch rarely does his homework. That's why it's up to you to know that you're arching an iron-clad, flying, flamethrower guy before you go running-in without a clue what you're even trying to steal or accomplish!
Everyone acting like Monarch could have taken him because “he’s a level 5 arch” first off, arch levels aren’t power levels. This isn’t dbz, get out of here with that. Secondly, Hellfire doesn’t fight his arches. Most likely they’ve never been in a position where they decided to take a hostage, so they probably just attempt to hurt him, it doesn’t work, so they leave. Monarch however sees this is not the case. Get over your angry faces number battles.
Yeah, in the episode they were shocked he was only a level 5 and throughtout the season the show constantly references level as being multiple factors such as assets, henchmen, even personal grooming. This dude in this episode literally was being shown to not be a super scientist but just a regular teacher
I honestly how they can convey how much of a bigger man Prof Vic is by simply showing him politely turning the other cheek til one of his students is threatened
There has to be rules for people who don't want to participate in arching or being arched regarding family/friends, because if police won't help you'd probably be in the clear to defend yourself from this stuff..
Afqwa Ah, but what of the arched friends/family? In this situation, would Dean/Sirena be restrained by general laws or rules of OSI/Guild should they defended themselves in a manner in which the villain is injured/killed due to the villain causing them as bystanders to be involved in their arch by way of their lives being threatened.
@@ignisking759 I think they'd be allowed to defend themselves, and indeed encouraged, but ultimately what's protecting Serena is Wide Whale. Wasn't this expanded on in the 1st/2nd/3rd season when Monarch went after Jonas Venture Jr? I thought the gambit Dr. Mrs. The Monarch set up was that arching Jr. gave Monarch periphery arching rights to Rusty? And we know both Dr. Dugong and this Hellfire person are relations to fairly high ranking members of the Guild, but neither is exempted from being arched (though if what Victor says can be taken at face value, it's possible his pater is hoping a stream of jerks in costume will make his son snap). The Guild isn't a business, it's a protection racket, like Grodd's Secret Society. They care first and foremost for their villainous members. It's just easier to keep the police and OSI from coming down on everyone's necks if some guidelines are established. Dr. Mrs. The Monarch did tell Jonas Jr. the Guild would take extreme retribution if he killed the Monarch, and it seems Wide Whale couldn't actually attack him despite having a personal grudge to do so with.
As established in The Lepidopterists (however you spell it) the Guild can and does sanction relatives of arches to be valid targets in certain circumstances; the Monarch uses this loophole to arch Venture after Jonas Jr retaliates with disproportionate force against him.
He's been asking himself that his entire life. Which is ironic, as that was Dr. Venture's main complaint about his Own childhood growing up; and then he turned around and did the same thing to his own kids....
1:01 it was at this point Monarch knew he f12ked up Also who else thinks that Professor Victor Von Hellfire and Red Death could get along incredibly well
Dr. Doom is neither a hero nor a villain. He is Doom. The Master of Latveria, beloved by his people and feared by every other national power in the world. All he cares about is bringing the world to peace and saving it by bringing it into his rule.
They usually keep things pretty open to what they want when they parody. The whole thing started off as a parody of Johnny Quest and other 80 shows like that. They've just branched out more and more to make it their own work.
It seems, and manages at the same to be better than the original version (the Doom of that movie) and the character of this series which was originally created to be a Dr. Doom parody, Baron Ünderbheit; this series can always surprise with new and interesting characters even if they appear just for a little bit.
He probably just refuses to participate in most arches. Honestly if Monarch decided to just go and spray paint his car, Von Hellfire would have just signed the papers and The Monarch would have had a 'successful' arch.
To be fair, The Monarch has a habit of rushing into fights that could end VERY badly for him. Hell, he's been disregarding the Guild and it's authority for a LONG time.
When you consider that Sirena is Wide Wale's daughter, Dean has O.S.I. protection, the Monarch and Two Ton 21 having each other's backs, Professor Victor Von Hellfire might actually be the least dangerous person in that room. He won't get mad unless you mess with his students as far as we know.
I love how 21 always tried to reason with the Monarch and just gets screamed at to do what he says. Which usually leads to them getting in deeper shit.
When he started melting I started laughing thinking it was so over the top and basically the Monarch is completely screwed, and when he starts burning up his clothes while doing that cliche swirling power lift, I lost it. XD
Going off his earlier conversation when Dean wanted to drop science all together, it seems like he teaches a lot of different types of science classes.

Victor Von Hellfire VS. Red Death. My eyeballs need to see this arching.
I'd rather see them talk over coffee or something, just because ones a "good guy" and the others a "bad guy" it doesn't mean they have to fight.
@@tacodog767 Or they can do both, have a fight while talking about maybe red death's daughter's future in college maybe?
@@funkmantim2661 I can totally see that.
Red: you know i was thinking my cute Ragamuffin could be quite the botanist when she grows up, but honestly i just wanna see her excel at anything that she puts he mind too...* has Victor in headlock* whatcha think
Victor: honestly.... it's good to see a dad be as openminded but really, if you wanted to talk we could've done this more civilized.
Red: Yeah i know this seemed like a good idea at the time...
Victor: ugh... fine i'll feed into it...* throws a fireball in Red's face* i mean i get you want to think about her future...but you might be going TOO far ahead, she's what...1st grade 2nd grade?
Red: yeah but things can happen...might get her mother's brains and be in college at 14...
Victor: wait your wife went to college at 14...?
Red: No...but she is as intelligent as she is beautiful.
@@Zarryon12 I loved reading that.
Holy shit at least half of the cast from the venture bros could legitimately have their own real comics, Victor bin hellfire, Doc Venture Sr., etc
Any comic that has Rusty's bastard of a father as the lead is going to get dark fast.
Yeah...I can't imagine any comic with Jonas Venture going over to well with people. Victor von Hellfire though? Sign me up
Not to mention the Order of the Triad
Evilmike42 that comment somehow brought both joy and disappointment within me
who knows? This show has been an instant classic since it first started, there's a lot that should be done to get them bigger and I think a comic would definitely be a great way to go
Harvey Birdman: "I'll take the case!"
Victor Von Hellfire: "I'll melt your face!"
I knew he sounded familiar thank you.
God, I want that crossover to happen
Alright, professor.
Here's how I'd imagine if Red Death arched the Professor (I'm just calling him professor cuz his name is pretty long:
*Red Death charges into the class on his steed*
Red Death: *in his villainous voice* "Professor I have come for you Mwahahaha!"
Professor: "Could you wait ten minutes, I'm just finishing a class?"
Red Death *in his normal voice* "Oh sure I can wait, I'll just wait around the campus square in the meantime."
*flies out through the hole in the window*
*They eventually meet in the college campus square and commence a battle of epic proportions, then after some time an alarm on Red Death's watch goes off.*
Red Death: "Oh quitting time already, want to grab a coffee?"
Professor: *in their metallic endoskeleton* "Sure, I think the campus coffee place is still open this time of day and I'll pay if you want?"
Red Death: "Great... I think the wife and I are hoping our daughter can go to this college in the future... Looks quite promising for my special girl."
[SCENE]
That's how I think it would go down at least XD
I don’t normally watch this show in full episodes have I enjoy it, but for that scene alone you just described I would absolutely watch a full episode because it would take a full episode to start them off right and do them justice
@Emperorgonzo1 red death has several episodes building his character and I can safely say that's almost definitely how he'd react
It's like Carl Sagan and Dr. Doom had combined into one. It's genius.
Fu-sion-Ha
I like how he says hi to Dean like they’re friends and he didn’t try to kill Dean and Hank multiple times.
They're the arch equivalent of old friends at this point. I love it.
it was after he realized dean was his nephew he kept stalking him
@@masakasamaMonarch has put out hits on them, he just never quite put in the effort to kill them as he did others
God, his compassion for his students is insane. He seems scary, but you know you could go to him if you were having trouble with assignment or were dealing with problems at home or something and he would be patient as fuck!
never piss off Carl Sagan
Holy shit I never noticed.
I like how The Mighty Monarch takes a moment to say hey to Dean. Like he's genuinely polite. Lolz!
After all the history they have, they may as well just consider themselves acquaintances. Most older heroes and villains act like that.
*Spoilers for those that haven't seen the movie*
The monarch being Rusty's imperfect clone might make him classified as equal to or almost equal to Rusty, in the guilds and OSI's eyes.
“Victor Von Hellfire” is an awesome name.
Proffesor Victor von Hellfire is a METAL AF name holy crap
Monarch: Okay, we may have overcorrected from Dr. Dugong!
I love the voice transition of Victor as he starts to hover!! Its so manacing and incredibly Badass!
Dammit, Gary! We all know Malc... er... The Mighty Monarch rarely does his homework. That's why it's up to you to know that you're arching an iron-clad, flying, flamethrower guy before you go running-in without a clue what you're even trying to steal or accomplish!
The Monarch was wear air pods, he couldn't hear him!
I think we're about to see that rule in action.
Afqwa
Ah, but what of the arched friends/family?
Shouldn't the law of self defense would already cover it
As established in The Lepidopterists (however you spell it) the Guild can and does sanction relatives of arches to be valid targets in certain circumstances; the Monarch uses this loophole to arch Venture after Jonas Jr retaliates with disproportionate force against him.
Guild rating system needs new hires, whoever made captain atom over here a level 5 needs a reevaluation
Well the whole guilt is a bunch of rip off the legion of doom
Damn. I've seen the Monarch screw up many times in MANY ways throughout the course of this show, but he DEFINITELY reached a new level here.
I like how Monarch says hello to Dean like long-time acquaintances. It's like running into your old classmate on the bus.
Thank God it wasn't Red Death. Monarch would've been vaporized! Lol.
I’m fairly sure the man has no equal. The system would never let him be paired up with anyone for the safety and well-being of the arch
Why would he be arching Red Death, aren't they both supervillains? Did one of them become a superhero?
This guy isn't a supervillain hes the son of one but still the strongest person to ever appear is still Dr Henry Killenger and his magic murder bag
@@ColonelBragg Why I love this series in one sentence
they're both antagonists and Red Death is a level 10 also.
If the show ever comes back, hopefully hellfire comes back as a arch/“good guy”, his power is so great in pontential, he is in Red Death territory
I’d like to see him go toe to toe with red death
That’s what you get when you arch above your belt, and only arch one, single guy for more than 17 years
I like how Hellfire's voice becomes robotic when he transforms
Poor Dean. He really can’t get away from al the “freaks”
He's been asking himself that his entire life. Which is ironic, as that was Dr. Venture's main complaint about his Own childhood growing up; and then he turned around and did the same thing to his own kids....
Victor Von Hellfire?
How did you...
*sees transformation*
Never mind....
I have questions on alot of other things though.
I like how Monarch is totally chill with the Venture Bros.
How does this guys ahve a lower ema level than rusty
You can punch me in the face, kick me in the balls, but you do not threaten my students.
Best teacher ever.
Would've been awesome if he had actually said that.
He's a super hero but he's built like a super villain.
Monarch: "I f^^^ked up!"
1:01 it was at this point Monarch knew he f12ked up
Also who else thinks that Professor Victor Von Hellfire and Red Death could get along incredibly well
I wish I had a teacher like that
We all wish that a metallic Carl Sagan was our teacher
I mean... Yeah... He at heart is a really good professor and I'd gladly take at least 300 of them for every community college in the world.
I know right? A teacher that truly cares for his students!
his last name is Hellfire. The Monarch should have seen this one coming.
00:15 Breaks clear glass to find treasure
So it's Dr Doom, but the 2015 version?
I'm confused, isn't Dr. Doom suppose to be a super villain? Why would the monarch be arching him?
Dr. Doom is neither a hero nor a villain. He is Doom. The Master of Latveria, beloved by his people and feared by every other national power in the world. All he cares about is bringing the world to peace and saving it by bringing it into his rule.
Well this profesor doesn't really seem to reflect that if he's suppose to be a parody of Doctor Doom.
How is this guy a level 5 protagonist? The guild did not it's homework on this one...
Chuksie Abani No henchmen, no villain mobile, no base of operations/lair, plus I don't think he even cares about arching
He probably just refuses to participate in most arches. Honestly if Monarch decided to just go and spray paint his car, Von Hellfire would have just signed the papers and The Monarch would have had a 'successful' arch.
They are under new management. Takes a while to know your clients.
He normally wont fight back but the monarch had to take a student hostage just to get him to do something.
@monokhem Brock was probably 8-9 of those levels on his own.
I like how Dean is just so annoyed and Sirena is just so meh about it. Gotta love how this is so normal for all of them in the Venture-verse.
Is that Harvey Birdman's voice!?:D
Yes it is, Gary Cole is the voice of Victor Von Helping (Hellfire)
I'll Take The Arch!!!

Lol monarch jumped way out of his league.
Equally matched aggression is why hes only a level 5
0:35 poor 21 that hit sounded like it broke something
Surprised they're willing to threaten Widewhale's daughter like that.
To be fair, The Monarch has a habit of rushing into fights that could end VERY badly for him. Hell, he's been disregarding the Guild and it's authority for a LONG time.

Victor Von Hellfire is like that Professor at Hogwarts you wanted to have as a teacher.

"It was at that moment he knew... he fucked up".
Wish we got to see more of this guy
I love how 21 always tried to reason with the Monarch and just gets screamed at to do what he says. Which usually leads to them getting in deeper shit.
Plot twist: Victor doesn't want to fight because he's a pacifist, he doesn't want to fight because it would be too easy
When he started melting I started laughing thinking it was so over the top and basically the Monarch is completely screwed, and when he starts burning up his clothes while doing that cliche swirling power lift, I lost it. XD
Is he supposed to look at least partially like Carl Sagan?
Sure seems like it. If they had made him a physicist instead of a botanist, I would've said it was a definite reference.
Going off his earlier conversation when Dean wanted to drop science all together, it seems like he teaches a lot of different types of science classes.
Then again, although Sagans primary studies were in physics and astronomy, Cosmos was still quite general.

"And this Students is how you skin a living Human being, any Questions?"
"Yes Professor. Did we have to do this in the Practical Part of our Exams?"
If I were The Mighty Monarch and 21, I’d be even more afraid of Wide Wale after they menaced Sirena!!!!!! I have a feeling that Guild Arching Rules would go out the window in that particular circumstance.
That, plus Wide Wale is pretty much Tony Soprano and Don Corleone rolled up in one. And Wide Wale’s bodyguard is Samson-class.
I feel like Red Death and him would get along so well
This is like those many RPGs where you missed that one low level enemy early game and then when you troll around the starting area at level 70 or something they try starting shit with you.
No really ever commented on Monarch jus all friendly non chalantly going "Hi Dean Venture!"
God damn it why can't we just get one more season just the end it all we had already got in the payoff of finding out their brothers officially one more good send-off season
The movie is still being made, so at least we have that to look forward to.
I love that since it's equally matched aggression, Victor is a five. It's not about what he can do, it's about what he chooses to do and his accomplishments.
If it was just "This guy is THIS GOOD" (he's arguably the most threatening hero in the show), he'd be a 10.
I love that this show established these rules and stuck to them.
Yeah, he seems like he has really calmed down. He only went after Monarch because he was mad he was threatening his students
Von Hellfire is actually a super dope name...I might have to use that for something.
