      Hans always use words like "our idea "our work" "what we did" and everyone is like "your idea" "what you did" so tells a lot that Hans is a humble genius who works together but is definitely the main genius behind his work.

    • @landiemarie4721
      @landiemarie4721 2 роки тому +2

      Yep I agree. I think it looks that way (as though he's not doing the work) because Hans makes a point of crediting and involving each of the instrumentalists in the recording. Hans is fascinated by how an instrument works differently depending on the player controlling it, and exaggerating that to his advandage for the finished music. It's a new process in film composing, totally collaborative. More like a band setup. It's a wonderful way to work.

    Ben Wallfisch quickly becomes one of my favorite composers. I first read his name in the credits for Blade Runner 2049 and then I've seen Dunkirk again and noticed him as additional composer in that and after that in Batman v Superman. At this point I went to his imdb and he's done IT, Hidden Figures, A Cure for Wellness and world on Harry Potter, V for Vendetta and 12 years a slave as composer, orchestrator or conductor. Keep it up, dude. A real Zimmer junior…

      @@mediocratus7015 I think he’s referring to the game of thrones season 6 episode 10 - there’s a really tense scene where the piano is used despite never having been used before in the show (the piece is called the light of the seven). Phenomenal stuff

    I found this to actually be a very valuable video to watch - lots of great tips and tricks dispersed throughout the conversation.
    lol my goodness, I felt so much suspense until that guy finally ate some of the food. I was wondering if it was a prop, or if they were told they couldn't eat it during the shoot. I couldn't stop thinking about being there and thinking back and forth "Can I have some? Should I wait until he's done speaking?" haha. So much suspense.
    Then he ate something and the whole scene lit up.

    This is much better than the hollywood ones. Letting them just talk shop is infinitely more valuable than forcing them to talk about their latest score only. I'd love to see Trent Reznor, John Powell, and Danny Elfman back for this format. pleeeeeeease
