The whole thing Ben said about how Peter went back to Voldemort of all people because he was scared of Remus and Sirius should also give a big clue into how powerful those 2 were in their own right. And how powerful James would have been. And the fact that all of them, potentially, had a killer streak in them.
The fact that they became animagi AND created the map should really be enough proof that they were already insanely strong wizards as children. In the year or two before the fall of Voldemort, it is entirely possible that they were in the top 10 most powerful wizards of that time period.
There are many examples one could use to prove their power (created marauder’s map, became animagi, etc.). One thing I’d like to say, though, is that all of them DEFINITELY had a killer streak in them. They fought in a war for years, for goodness sake 😂
I always found it really heartwarming that when James, Sirius, and Peter found out about Remus’ “furry little problem” (that was their nickname for it) they didn’t abandon him like he feared and instead went through the difficult process of becoming animagi to make his time as a Werewolf a lot easier and more comfortable
Maybe the scene's different in the books, I can't remember, but in the movies the "The world isn't split into good people and Death Eaters" line was when Harry was confiding in Sirius in OOTP that he thought he was becoming bad, because of his dreams/visions.

I think Sirius's treatment of Kreacher was because he was a reminder of Sirius's childhood trauma, not because he was a house elf (still doesn't make it okay that he treated him like that but that was my interpretation).
Sirius has a very valid reason to be upset with Kreacher, but I still don’t think he should have been so scolding and harsh. I don’t blame him, though, because Kreacher didn’t exactly make it easy for Sirius to be nice.
Kreacher spouted off old family ignorance that Sirius never stood for and he was pretty nasty and rude so 🤷🏼♀️ you can not be prejudiced against a group and still not like a member of that group
@@JennifuhhGilardi yes, he was nasty and rude, but he also had the capability of being extremely caring and nice, as we see when the trio finally get on his good side. The funny thing is, when they're talking about Voldemort not going up to peoples' doors and knocking on them, he does that exact thing in Deathly Hallows. Harry has a vision of him abroad while he's still looking for Gregorovich and he knocks on the front door of a house and waits for someone to open it.

I always found it interesting that the 3 friends went by different parts of their names. Sirius by his first name, Lupin by his last, and Wormtail by his nickname.
I think that’s probably for the readers benefit in prt. One Sirius would be sirius because there are multiple blacks (also hates his family). Remus would be referred to as lupin more often because when Harry (and us the readers) are introduced to him he is a professor and so for most of the book he is referred to as Professor Lupin and then they just drop the title (sorta like Hagrid, plenty of times I forget that that isn’t his first name). I love that question 3 was in there, I remember them saying it wrong in a video ages ago and finally they're corrected on it!
Oo I would love a what’s so wise about fearing fear itself video!!
15:33 Ben you’re talking about Coke 😂😂😂 drink it or take that rust off your car !
Can we have a "Golden trio Quotes" next?
Q: What did Ron say when they got back after meeting Fluffy for the first time? or Q: Who said " I'm a what?"
Yes!!! Ethan is my favorite quizmaster! :-)
Harry Potter and funding the Weasley twins mischief.
"Here, catch this cannon ball!" 🤣
Absolutely throwing shade at helena. "Bit of a softball" "yea, i think so"
Is it weird that I imagine James as a father (had he survived to do so) being a combination of Amos Diggory and Gilderoy Lockheart? 😂😂😂
**cool magic happens**
Random witch or wizard: Who did that?
James: it was prrrretty obvious it was my boy
This quiz is pure hilarious chaos! Very worthy of the marauders 🫡
I would pay to just watch Ben and J discuss the marauders generally
Yay Marauders!! Also, Harry Potter and Everyone Needs a Haircut (at least the movie) 😅🤣😂
4:00 I had exactly the same process as J: remembered the exact scene except for whether it was Sirius or James, thought it made sense to fill in the lack of James quotes but thought Sirius made more sense, got it wrong
That’s my James!
These two are definitely the sons of a news caster.
Love your videos
I've always thought book four should be And The Tri Wizard Tournament, but J has convinced me otherwise with the throwaway line about the prevailing mystery of that book.
I'm so use to Ben waffling, it's weird to see J do so.
Remus is easily the best Marauder - he's the most level-headed
the one about the inferiors got me as well, as I thought of Kreaher instantly.
What I don't get is how, unless im only remembering movie moments, voldemort calls wormtail, well, wormtail, and yet snape doesnt seem to know that wormtail=peter
9:22 When Luke leaves Dagoba: "Luke, you are truly your father's son."
12:26 funniest quote in all of the books. A bit cruel to Snape though.
22:20 I remember the teaser text on the back of OOTP covering that line.
And when the 5th book released my parents got all 5, and thats how i began reading them.
I’m not sure about getting oil off a driveway, but I know of a cleaner whose main ingredient is orange peel essential oil (or something of that sort) that dissolves adhesives and adhesive residue; it’s called Goo Gone.
Awesome as always thanks
This is my favorite reader of questions 😂😂 he's great
For question 5 I was thinking when lupin took the map from harry and saw him sneaking around and saying something like “you are truly your fathers son harry”
I like the thumbnail on this one!! It doesn't give away the answer, because it really could have been either one lol
A good day for a J vs Ben 🫶🏻
Whoo! A rare perfect score for me - lots of laughs throughout the episode too!
