    I have been following your channel for 2 years now and have not missed a single episode. There are plenty of UA-cam channels that restore 1st gens, most of them have high end workshops which don't relate to what we have at home. What I also like about your channel is your sense of humor and you are not afraid to show us your mistakes or setbacks. Keep up the good work, Jim Australia

    • @VinylVillageGarage
      @VinylVillageGarage  3 місяці тому +2

      Right on! A large shop would be amazing and make it a little easier but then it’s not relatable to the normal guy restoring a car at home. I started in my parents backyard on my first car I didn’t have a garage. Making it happen with what we have is the plan.

    Can't tell you how much I appreciate your videos!!! I'm 61 years old (WHAT?!?) and I still have my first car (68 convert 400 4spd) that I bought when I was 19 (from my oldest brother!). Been wrenching since I was a teenager so I've been ALL over that car... Your videos are SO inspiring, informative, and concise! Can't believe how much you pack in each one! And NO FLUFF!! I can honestly say, hands down, I've learned more practical Firebird info (and general restoration tips and hacks)
    from you than any other UA-camr I've watched. And I've watched A LOT. There is NO WAY you are being fairly compensated for the priceless info and invaluable education you are providing. All I can say is THANK YOU JON and PLEASE keep up the EXCELLENT WORK!!!!

      The thing that I lost focus on was the why I started, it was nice watching the UA-cam analytics and channel growth it was a nice reward but for the last 6 months flat line then the last month it was a major decrease like 1/2. It was discouraging. If I was doing UA-cam for a living I would be in trouble. It was a nice bonus to offset car building expenses. I feel it will pick back up.

      I appreciate that! I do enjoy building cars and sharing the process. I was frustrated with UA-cam because for the last 3 years been on trend with the same growth rate . For the last six months flatline and last month which is normally the best it showed a significant decrease. Like down by 1/2. It was a bit deflating and lost my love for the videos. Thanks friend. Earning money wasn’t the goal with UA-cam and I kinda let that part slip. UA-cam does pay and it was on trend for the the first 2 years a steady growth to be honest of it stayed on that trend I would
      Be getting nearly $1,000 a month for my efforts. That goes a long way when building cars, we know it’s not cheap. Instead beginning 6 months ago it flatlined then about a month ago it decreased… significantly. Views and subscribers are still on par but pay cut way down. So I got discouraged and frustrated. It was no fault of my fans or viewers so I will just keep going and stick to my original plan. Playing cars and sharing the ups and downs.

      Hey Buddy, your show is great because you're in a small garage, like most guys do it. you keep it real and do great work. one of my projects is a 69 firebird convertible. I am building a few cars for my charity, Ride Along Racing.
      RIDE-ALONG RACING
      Bring on the thrills, the smiling faces, and the sounds of laughter and revving engines. Buckle up and settle in for once in a awesome opportunity to ‘’ride along“ with professional, infamous, Stuntman Mike Kirton in his outrageous resto-mod 1969 Stingray Corvette track car, “The Atomic Bomb. Ride Along Racing provides exclusive entertainment, specifically for children with special needs, or handicaps and wounded American veterans, who would enjoy the heart pumping experience of racing, . There is simply nothing like the exhilaration one gets speeding down the straightaways and bolting around the corners of an SCCA prepared autocross course, as copilot with a trained professional at the wheel. Each participant will receive a professionally captured and edited video of their “Ride-Along” experience free of charge and full of laughter for them to share and enjoy for years to come.
      Semi-retired notorious Hollywood stuntman of the 80’s & 90’s Mike Kirton is legendary for his antics on and off movie sets, worldwide. His associations with film making and entertainment have led to participation in children’s charity events worldwide. This sparked Mike’s new idea and personal challenge to create Ride-Along Racing, a charity program designed to inspire and thrill, while building lasting memories. With a specially prepared swivel out passenger seat, to help accommodate our special passengers, the safety of a race helmet and secure seat belts, we’ll fire up the engine and the video cameras. and start roaring and racing around the autocross course to beat the winning time. Each experience will leave our special passengers with a life time memory. With every rider comes an opportunity for our backers and sponsors involved with Ride Along Racing to become an immortal part of their great memorable experience. Come join us in the fun, and to honor the strength, accomplishments and courage of our special passengers.
      cheers
      Mike

      Type Vinylvillagegarage then add @gmail.com I should get them there. I don’t dare put my email on the comments again it kills the inbox with spam and garbage. Look forward to checking them out
