The crowd sounds so quiet because the audio is recorded through the soundboard of the venue therefore when you hear the cheers and screaming its coming through the instrument microphones. Such as the mics placed in front of amplifiers, drum kits, and the vocal mics. The band is going to be a lot louder than them because the mics are placed about an inch in front of each piece. Bit of information for all of you wondering why it sounds like such a lame crowd.
Ben almost cried at 1.26.40. But then the camera was on him and the crowd started making some noise as they could see him on those big screens , he then held back those tears and just nodded his head and smiled. Never seen a man so enthusiastic about his fans.
Pointfest rocked for sure Chevelle, seether, and Breaking Benjamin were amazing live, i'll never forget this, even though we had lawn seats the view was great and sounded badass, def going back next year
I can honestly say that Breaking Ben is back and better than ever! Not only do they sound fantastic live, but they all genuinely seem to enjoy each performance, and work together really well. Im so stoked for the next album when their will most likely be more participation from the other members!
this was a outstanding concert, and when Ben kind of teared up at the intro to Phobia, i was like blown away, these guys are amazing live, and my favorite band.
This doesnt even do it justice. I was back in the lawn and it was deafening from not just them but everyone yelling the lyrics. They genuinely love Stl and it showed in his performance.
***** Yup, the show I saw on May 27th was the same -- the sound was INCREDIBLE and the crowd was totally engaged and screaming all the lyrics. Just fantastic.
37:52- nice to see Ben call someone who's taking it too far during the show. Obviously rock concerts are supposed to be intense but it sounds like someone was taking it too far on a woman. I don't know the whole story obviously, but good for Ben to stick up for a crowd member.
Alex Hyun i was really far away on the lawn, but i think this one drunk dude got pissed of because she told him to stop drinking or something, and ben stopped the music to call him out..
+Alex Hyun Thats one of the things I love about Ben. He really cares about making sure his fans have a good time. I saw them in Virginia and there were a few people moshing in a way that was injuring/scaring some of the fans nearby. He didn't just stop singing...he stopped the entire song. He made them break it up and made sure that the fans that had been getting pushed around were alright. He then told the out of control moshers to "jump up and down. I'll be the same thing and you won't be hurting those around you. Everyone has an equal right to enjoy this show...so make sure that happens." He wouldn't start playing again until everyone that had been involved felt safe and secure again.
+Alex Hyun I was right next to it. Some drunk lady kept pushing and punching some big guy who was in her way and she kept bitching about it, and her boyfriend was just as drunk. So the big guy told the boyfriend to make her stop, then the boyfriend started jumping on big guy and so did the girl friend and I think all Ben saw was the big guy push the girlfriend off of him. Sorry for the late reply, i just found the video. haha.
Alexander Hyun I was here and there was a fight where I was that the band didn't see because a drunk girl was flirting with a girls boyfriend. She got jealous and a fight broke out. I was pushed and it was crazy haha
I love that Ben still has manners. The fact that he's in a rock band doesn't matter. He still hands water out, stops fights, and tells the guys that get water to hand it to the closest girl. This is why I love Breaking Benjamin, because the music is only half of it.
Thanks for uploading this, man. Dying to go to one of their concerts but haven't gotten to yet. It's breaking my heart. So awesome to see him stick up for someone in the crowd, too! What a boss!
They absolutely killlllled it. They sounded even better actually there the recording doesnt do it justice. It sounds oddly muted really throws off the sound almost like hes singing in iso. Band is the strongest sounding Ive ever heard bar none.
SteamandScenic they also played bits of rage against the machine... it was killing in the name, which kinda morphed into metallica.. lol it was a great show
I love how Ben is telling the people that were fighting while they were playing away to "chill out, chill the fuck out!" He is the most classiest and thoughtful guy that I have ever seen.
This concert was fucking amazing, got to see Breaking Benjamin for the first time live. They kicked ass along with Seether and Chevelle, I was so happy that they got back together. Can't wait to see them again! Oh yeah, and I'm still trying to find myself in the crowd lol
@Mayson Vincenzo holy shit FUCK OFF SPAMMERS! i’ve literally gotten about five or six of the same comments on different videos in the last couple days alone. Reported, whoever the uploader is please block these people
Damn, the part where Ben calls out the dude fighting in the audience during Away was just amazing. Respect for him to interrupt his singing to do that.
my favorite band since i was 14 years old greetings from mexico !!!!!!! breaking benjamin the best band of the world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahaha love it when he yells at the douche in the crowd fighting. Dude behind him looks over Ben's shoulder like "yo, is that a fight", Ben hops off the mic, yells at them, flicks pick into the crowd, picks up the song without missing a beat. I fucking love them, can't wait to see them in a couple weeks.
This was months before Dark Before Dawn was released! 😜 Failure, Defeated, and Angels Fall were the current singles at that time, I remember it vividly. 😀
still can't believe he missed Give me a sign, shallow bay, away, and Unkown soldier (not to mention "crawl") here in Milan great show and energy though!!!! BB4EVER!!!
This is the best "chubby" look of Ben in my opinion. He looks bulky, strong & healthy but not overly fat.. Granted his belly might looks a bit large in some angles but it's still tolerated because he looks good in that outfit
DAMN! even a metallica cover! HELL YES!!! i've been wanting a live BB show ever since finding out the show from the phobia dvd is edited. safe to say this one isnt! =)
sorry, I misread it xD I thought he was just speaking 'poor English' so what I understood from it was that he is sad they never play his favorite song anymore. Apologies :')
I was there that night (in the pit) and I feel like they sounded so much better than in this video...maybe it's the sound quality for the recording or something...
Dr. Turk It's all to do with the PA. They always play great but if the PA isn't capturing that then it's not going to come out. Here they are nicely layered too.
DarkAnima Yep, when these vids make it out, it's NOTHING like they sound live. Someone needs to NORMALIZE and MASTER these live tracks so the vid doesn't sound so bad when it hits YT.
ClickToPreview it was awesome live. this one chick almost got alcohol poisoning, and the pointfest staff or whatever (the people who were walking around on the hill) had to come and help her. she was like ten feet from where we were
great setlist even for the covers breaking Benjamin,Metallica, nirvana 3 of my favorites and my all time favorite musician Ben mothafucking burnley is singing it all. wish I could have been there. for those saying he sounds bad I'm sure you would to if when you sang it caused you to nearly faint and you get on that stage and make it sound like it does coming out the studio. doubt you could do any better. keep it up breaking Benjamin y'all doing great

Thank you
Tote5 Magee there was tool in there
Tote5 Magee to be fair setlist.fm almost has you beat - it lists the whole cover medley as "
Imperial March / Schism / Heart Shaped Box / Walk "
You also forgot about the star wars part after Polyamorous

Thanks to tell! I was in the show at Montreal recently and yes live crowd are really more noisy hahaha
+DianeV When was their Montréal show? And do you know if they are heading there again soon?
+DianeV you need to english better
+XinR LAX well sorry its not my native language. No need to be rude!
+Alex Groleau yes i was there but i dont know when they will come back. i hope they will come back with their accoustic tour! :)
Ben almost cried at 1.26.40. But then the camera was on him and the crowd started making some noise as they could see him on those big screens , he then held back those tears and just nodded his head and smiled. Never seen a man so enthusiastic about his fans.
Hahaha what a pussy
i liked how ben cooled down the fight and kept on continuing his parts lol awesome
When was that
@@kevinmartin1679 start@ 37.50 it's close but you gotta see how he doesn't miss a beat 💜🤘☮️
Man this is awesome. So many great songs. Good to see these being performed live in 2015. Phase is one of my favorite songs. Awesome set.
Steve Michael I liked this comment just because you said Phase is one of your favorite songs.. *fistbumb*
wish i may is one of my favs
+Steve Michael I would've liked to see songs like Hopeless, Crawl, and Lights Out from Dear Agony. Way underrated songs in my opinion!
Wow they sound so good..
Pointfest rocked for sure Chevelle, seether, and Breaking Benjamin were amazing live, i'll never forget this, even though we had lawn seats the view was great and sounded badass, def going back next year
Shoulda played Water after he passed out all that fuckin' Water
I can honestly say that Breaking Ben is back and better than ever! Not only do they sound fantastic live, but they all genuinely seem to enjoy each performance, and work together really well. Im so stoked for the next album when their will most likely be more participation from the other members!
I love how he is able to put his fan's safety ahead of the music, pausing to stop people from fighting even if some of the lyrics go missing.
this was a outstanding concert, and when Ben kind of teared up at the intro to Phobia, i was like blown away, these guys are amazing live, and my favorite band.

It was the same here in september 2015 in Montreal !
Same!! I was near the back of the lawn and it was so deafening I could barely hear them.
Alex Hyun from what i saw from the pit Gage got it right for the most part but i believe that there was another person who intervined
+Alex Hyun Thats one of the things I love about Ben. He really cares about making sure his fans have a good time. I saw them in Virginia and there were a few people moshing in a way that was injuring/scaring some of the fans nearby. He didn't just stop singing...he stopped the entire song.

I was at this show, greatest Breaking Ben show I ever went to. They play better live now with the new line-up too
How many people can be that Charismatic, write their own songs, sing, play guitar all the while being sick as well?
My friend and I were in the very front of the lawn during Pointfest and just oh my gosh BEST NIGHT EVER
Thanks for uploading this, man. Dying to go to one of their concerts but haven't gotten to yet. It's breaking my heart. So awesome to see him stick up for someone in the crowd, too! What a boss!

skraelingshortbus yup me too. Saw them May 27th and the sound guys NAILED IT. STRONG and LOUD. Best set I've seen from any band in a LOOOONG time.

I fucking love them, can't wait to see them in a couple weeks.
That was one of their techs. If any of the band's techs notice a fight going on they radio to their head of security who try to resolve the situation.

This was AMAZING live! 🤘
Hollow is my favorite i was hoping to find it here
This was months before Dark Before Dawn was released! 😜 Failure, Defeated, and Angels Fall were the current singles at that time, I remember it vividly. 😀
30 seconds of Tool is like the full story of ten bands.
Omg..i had an eargasm from Polyamorous @~@

Forever my favorite band.
Wicked through the never cover
This is the best "chubby" look of Ben in my opinion. He looks bulky, strong & healthy but not overly fat.. Granted his belly might looks a bit large in some angles but it's still tolerated because he looks good in that outfit
DAMN! even a metallica cover! HELL YES!!! i've been wanting a live BB show ever since finding out the show from the phobia dvd is edited. safe to say this one isnt! =)

+Roel Stevens well, never again. Lol
sorry, I misread it xD I thought he was just speaking 'poor English' so what I understood from it was that he is sad they never play his favorite song anymore. Apologies :')
+Roel Stevens no worry mate. The lack of apostrophe in his sentence may result in misinterpretation.
+Dioscoro Tim Singson yea I forgot the apostrophe lol my bad! but my favorite so is never again by them!:)
though they were bit slow since new members and all but damn was this a crazy good concert i seen from the new ones love it
i love it when he gets pissed at that guy fighting that girl it is awsome got to love him
These guys are so underrated, it’s a shame.
That transition from shallow bay to give me a sign was beautiful
I started freaking out when they started to play Schism. Me and this girl I don't even know tackle hugged.

Awesome !!! They even cover a metallica song oO How cool is this ?!?
Been nailed the screams on phase 🤘🤘
Ben pulls of a solid Hetfield...unreal
BB is amazing as ever :D
