yup. the drinking is killing him. even if he stopped the damage is done. i went to see them a few weeks ago and his bandmates are singing about 40% of the songs now because hes so fucked up. he cant do it anymore. they keep the stage dark so its hard to tell. i dunno if ill see them again if its not even him.

Ben is sick!! They are having a hard time finding out whats wrong with him. He says it's from years of alcoholism.
Ben has been sick for YEARS, not something new and he's said multiple times he's gone to all the doctors he can and no one really knows what's wrong with him. But it's from him being a alcoholic previously as he thinks. He said right before he came off hiatus that if he's going to be in pain and die anyways, he's going to do what he loves which is making music and being with his family.
Getting divorced will do that to you

@@billycranston4745 well I've seen quite a few performances. Looks like they had trouble balancing the multiple vocals initially but now it seems they've got it right.

Keith and Jasen killed it with their harmonies, especially in the last chorus of torn in two really awesome
This band is just incredible. They're the ultimate performers, and when you combine that with Ben's songcraft, that's a fucking winning recipe right there.
Jasen is the lead guitarist and he doesn't do backup vocals. It's Keith and Aaron that do them.
I'm a metal head....still really respect/like this band.

He just means that as a mostly-into-metal fan, he still likes art when seen even if it isn't metal.

Wow.....there sound man has finally found that sweet spot with tuning. This is the best I've heard them sound live.....especially with RCR.....That is a very hard productioned song for them to do. live

I just got that album recently and loved it. A 10 year anniversary tour would be amazing my favorite song would be "what lies beneath"

The vocals, all them, were on point. Even though the sound is picked up by phone the mix sounds phenomenal. Props to the person running the sound 👍👍👍

Tris Prior.... Ben is really coming to his own with not having to play and sing at the same time. However, seems like he goes from “Badass” to “someone please restrain Ben” back to Badass. Either way, I like this version of Ben as he looks like is really having fun and he is awesome to listen to.
Honestly, I feel like he's just badass no matter what but yeah. It was so fun going to a concert for the first time ever. My mom was just sitting next to me with her ears plugged the whole time LOL
This was a great first concert! I'm guessing that I am quite a bit older than you as I learned from Bon Jovi concert to always, always, always bring ear plugs! Every concert that I go to, I always bring 4-5 pair as the music is so loud! It's crazy, but Metallica was the one concert that I didn't need ear plugs for. Totally love BB and love this new record! Out of curiosity, did your Mom not like the music or was it too loud or the crowd too crazy?
My mom hates metal. She only came cuz she didn't want me to get killed. LOL
Not only there albums sound good. The singer and the band can back it up live with little to no autotune.

BB is my second favorite band. I know almost all of their songs and can sing a majority of them. I have their Celtic knot on the top left of my WRX STI's rear windshield along with my A7x deathbat in the middle. I'd give anything to be able to see them live, living in Hawaii makes that difficult. But I'm moving to Illinois so one day I will see them in person and lose my shit like I did when A7x came to Hawaii. I love all BB songs but if I had to choose my favorites they'd be: Defeated, So Cold, What Lies Beneath, Anthem of the Angels, Ashes of Eden, Failure, I Will Not Bow, Evil Angel, Crawl, Dear Agony, Hollow, Breath. Honestly, I just love BB. Every part, their music just hits me deep down in my soul. I did also like that they played a bit of Tool because Tool is just fucking amazing. This show is fucking amazing, what I'd give to be there!

I was there, he did it twice. The second time you could see the tech guy on the side hesitating not sure when to pick it up, and when Ben stepped up onto the thing on the front of the stage he ran in lol.

I saw Marilyn Manson a few weeks ago and he seemed like he was knocking it down just to fuck with the tech guy. Did it at least 8-9 times throughout the show. Each time the guy would run out put it back in place and run back into hiding
Lmao that happned when i saw them, and he still swung it around a few times.
Kudos to him, good help is hard to find lol. That dudes sitting on the edge of the stage watching the entire show more closely than most people have ever watched anything in their lives. Sometimes it makes me wonder if it's real or if it's a test to make sure the stage hands are paying attention lol.

I went to this tour twice.. First time in VA in august, second time in NC in december, and i ALMOST went to this one too. What an INCREDIBLE show. Thank you SO much for posting this, i watch the whole thing :)
Ben really did a great job in making this band breaking BENJAMIN. Aaron and Keith have the voices closest to Ben I‘ve ever heard. That‘s really great cause Ben can take some breaks and spare his voice and they also blend in really well when doing backing vocals. The whole vocal game is on a new level, like it! 👍🏻
But I still don‘t get what the guy on the right is doing. Just playing guitar and not even being good at it as you can hear in the solo of Psycho...
The triple guitar line up is pretty awesome too

That said, it is nice that Ben can rest his voice as needed; I do miss his old vocals, but I'll take this over no BB!

Where is the best part about it, one of Ben's Tech Crew people, who are best friends with my parents, told Ben specifically to take me up on stage, along with others during their last song. I am forever thankful :)
