Wow! Actually, I went to Odesa for two days from Kyiv and back in the year 2003. But it was on one of these more regular blue "platzkartny" wagons, so these were much slower overnight trips. Yet I have to say - I do prefer it that "old" way, when you actually have more "feel through" the journey, rather than sitting in a chair for 7 hours. You know, this experience of spending this evening in a "semi-detached" compartments, meeting people, having these "endless train conversations" while sipping on some tea from these metal-and-glass train glasses and watching the scenery flow by. Or some longer stops, including shunting work done by the railway.. But it might be just me, I know. What a beautiful country. You were so lucky to visit it when you did. Watching this after what has happened made me real emotional. Thank you for sharing this video.
You're welcome 🙌

I was on old but modernized train Kiyv - Uzhgorod
It was rly good, better then it was like a few years ago
to drive such train by more as 200km/ h needs to have very very good built rails..Are they matched to type of train there?
It's work in progress, but you know, deranged dictator invasion and all
I love to visit Kyiv this year in summer
🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
@@NonstopEurotrip is it still allowed to visit?
Train tickets for trips of a similar length in Canada cost almost $400, I wish we had passenger rail here….
So do I 😏
Stay strong ✌🏻🇺🇦
Nice Video. I hope that you will make a video about the Bergen railway in Norway. I was travelling 24th of June between Oslo and Bergen. It was a phantastic and scenic trip.
It's already on the channel 👌🏻
Beautiful!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
That makes my heart cry! 😢🕊🇺🇦

Appreciate you to give people a chance to explore this beautiful country. And as a Chinese, I can prove the current situation is just like you said, people in Russia, China and other few countries are not allowed to express our attitudes in public.
But I will still say it, I and most of our people don't support Putin's illegal war, and we hold the same attitudes to these dictators like you.

Thanks!
Thank you so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I just made this same trip but on the night sleeper train, it was in the classic 4 bunk sleeper, cost was $17.50 US
After the war, be sure to drive the route from or to the city of Rahiv through the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains. I recommend!
I will be back 😄
Greetings from Canada.
Hello there!
My family and me wanted to go to Ukraine to visit friends we met in train in Slovakia, but then covid entered the chat, and then Putin
Someday soon, hopefully 🤞🏻
Visited Kyiv a long time ago. Beautiful city. Also the only one of six Soviet cities that had decent food.
So far nearly every (ex) Soviet city I visited had decent food. But I am at very unfair advantage: I have no idea how to be there as a foreign tourist.
Probably a very hard ordeal (and I am not joking).
@@GeorgeGy they weren't ex when I was there. It really was a long time ago.
It's all about the Georgian food for me ✌🏻🇬🇪
@@NonstopEurotrip It's very good indeed, but one has to be careful: sometimes that, too, can be greasy.
And if not, it tends to be more expensive than the Ukrainian or Russian fare. For me Central Asian food can be greasy, too.
Wow that train looks great, I did this trip in August 2015 with a night train but was old train with many many stops ...
Glad you liked it 😀
It seems that Ukrainian Railways has improved as compared to last 7, 8 years
You know who I am, why I'm here for and what not to reply, so, I went back in time to last Wednesday at about 9:35 AM CEST.

Lovely country and train. I hope this trip will be possible again soon once the invaders have gone and their boss is behind bars.

In case of Poles, it's more frequent to see the Hyundai Rotems of UZ (simmilar ones to ones from Irish Rail) in Przemyśl, because this is where, not during the war, you can interchange between PKP and UZ trains or vice versa.
You still can... ✌🏻

Non-Stop, I just finished your Cambodian train video. Awesome! You asked for travel suggestions and I gave it some thought. Now that I see you are in Ukraine, all the better. Go Moscow to Beijing 3rd class coach. Then, Beijing back to Saint Pete as first class as it gets. You had me laughing in Cambodia. A repeat of that ride with about four GnT’s in ya would make for a better filming experience. 😅 Seeing you are from the UK, may I suggest Gordon’s London Dry.
Unfortunately no RuZZia for the near future, even if I was allowed! ✌🏻🇺🇦🫡
