Enrollment won’t change. Most alumni know what it takes to meet admission standards. However the new law plays out, I just hope it accommodates students who want to live around campus. We don’t need anymore overgrown infants getting their meals doordashed to their parent’s house.
@@OCVeritas College admissions isn't just about meeting certain standards. It isn't like enlisting the military. @@bluehotdog2610 Admission standards are the first of many filters. It mutes the debate over who is or is not qualified. Anyone meeting the standards is qualified. Not everyone who is qualified gets admitted. What many applicants don’t understand is that once admission standards are met it’s a different competition. Some schools want to up their ranking so they favor applicants with high SAT scores and GPAs, even offering them scholarships to attend. Other schools have no shortage of applicants who far exceed their admission standards and thereby have the luxury of considering other contributions applicants have to offer. Too many applicants just want the prestige associated with the school without regard for the school’s philosophy. You mean no SPECIAL admissions - stop LYING.
is affirmative action policy still in effect?
In Florida we banned AA in colleges and had 40% non-whites enrolled this year. Just shows how bad it was before we banned AA. 40% of the kids in the college shouldn't have even been there. Rare white people W
That's been over
It's private, so????? Another Commifornia rule?
Make student loans private. Take the government out of student loans
Socialism expansion....Newsom should move to China since he likes dictatorship 😛
Makes me wonder how much endowment s will be affected once wealthy donors can’t buy their kids admittance.
I thought pricate university's could make their own rules?
Are they talking about Newsome?
But it’s OK at public universities?
The donors should get a refund.
They donate to tax write off LOL and for their family to get accepted
and the slaves should get reparations too right??
@@defone51Freedman's descendants are owed reparations.
Hey, what about affirmative action and equal opportunity ? Toss it out when the quotas have been met and the transformation is complete ? Finally admitting to complete and total discrimination on both sides. No equity here., no fairness, a country in steep decline. No one really cares anymore, the country is falling
Affirmative action hasn't existed in California since the early 90s. Someone just hates non 🏐's
If they receive any type of government funding, this is how it should be. Hope yall keep this same energy with affirmative action though. Both should be/remain banned if the schools receive tax funding.
That was a good joke Andy 🚣🏽♀️
than all those Donors supporting the colleges should stop the money from flowing!!
Have you attended college?
Yea right 😢 we will see 👀
Don’t parents pay the bills?😅
I hate this
Geeeee wow!!!!!like that was SUCH A PROBLEM FOR US PEOPLE!!! i mean now we all can sleep at night!!!
Where are all the comments in favor or merit-based admissions? [crickets]
It's a good idea, but when private colleges (businesses) are being told what to do, it's a slippery slope. Public funded colleges, no problem.
I didn't realize this was a thing 🤷♂️
Rich reporters the irony
Only a hundred years late.

Great. About time👏
Hhi there i dont like the bill
Good.
What would the campus or facility look like without all the large donations? 😂😂😂 Sounds like this anchors parents donated for his admission. The campus would be filled with hard working kids who are hungry to achieve because of their tough unbringings. Why are they focusing on the lamdscaping? 😂
Where do you get that tough upbringing children are going to get in more? If that is a thing it's not going to mean anything in the long run. If academia's gold standard becomes an undesirable, academia becomes undesirable in the eyes of the socialites.
Pelosi’s nephew says no to nepotism 😂
Really really good rower, no kidding lol! There is always a way for the wealthy. It may sound good in theory but in practice good luck.
Good :)
