Chinese automakers are making new EVs so cheap yet with better tech than much more expensive cars. There are brand new EVs made in China as low as $10,000 with better tech than a lot of $60,000 US made vehicles, and they are scaring the hell out of all these legacy automakers worldwide. China also offers more options of PHEVs which most gasoline users prefer over straight EVs because they don't have to worry about a limited EV range. Those CEOs are going to have to come off of those double digit million dollar salaries they're making and give customers more affordable vehicles.
The more you look at the current trend, the more you realize that deindustrialization is a real possibility in Western World (e.g. in EU, where energy cost, labor cost, environment cost, bucreaucracy cost is high)

There’s a book called “Driving Honda” that describes the Honda philosophy and their relationship strategy with their suppliers. As a small agile company, they are efficient. @slumy8195 I've only seen couple things that mention Mitsubishi and everything else I've seen just says Honda and Nissan do one of them already own Mitsubishi I thought they were their own brand just like Honda and Nissan

Less competition won't do that
If I have to give any slight bit of credit to modern Nissan it's that their cars are affordable. (Until they break down after like 20,000 miles)
