This was one of the moments where I realized Team Four Star was as much making a more westernized version of DBZ as much they were a parody. Seriously they really amped up the cool factor on a lot of the dialog.

Vegeta in Z is an unbearable asshole that people managed to somehow decide they liked hard enough to force the author to not kill him first arc. Him being unbearable just means the Abridged writers managed to fully realize Toriyama's vision in Abridged form.

the original dragon ball was started in 1984 in japan lol, 5 years later in 89 they started making dragon ball z again, in japan and finished the series in january 1996, when american audiences got dragon ball z it was already over in japan and they were already working on dragon ball gt, infact when the american version reached the namek saga, gt was halfway done, theres a reason why dragon ball gt final bout (a ps1 game) made such a commotion in america and europe, because no one knew the characters in the game and noone knew what the fuck a super saiyan was let alone super saiyan 4.

I never understood why people say vegeta is the most bad-ass character in DB. He always comes off as a whiny try hard badass wannabe. Piccolo (and maybe to some extent Tien in the original DB) were the true badasses in the show.

There's a lot of difference between writing an original story and writing a parody where a source material exists, I bet even TFS would find it more challenging to write a fanfiction than doing DBZA.

And now apparently 17 is one of the strongest characters in dragonball super. Obviously it's hard to tell 100% but it seems like he's the strongest after Goku and Vegeta. Unless Gohan is getting some sort of huge boost it looks like his number 3 spot has been taken.

17's power output is not nearly the level of the rest. but he heals faster, infiniate energy and stamina. He's limited purely by his output. Which presumably he may have hit his limit or will soon hit the limit mechanically. I assume he did hit the limit already and has just gotten better at using the energy.

Sam Rader I agree. Was so overwhelmingly hyped when he became the strongest in the series. And we never saw much showing of that, he should've been the one to fight First Form Cell not 16. Or at least been able to beat 18 and 17.

Thats at least assuming we are to believe that the Nameless Namekian (from before he fissioned into Kami and Piccolo) could easily take out Frieza as stated in the Manga.
It was even worse with Gohan. They had so much hype building on him beating Buu, but apparently no one likes him. So screw Gohan, Goku is coming back to life. Piece of shite writing.
@@lancecurry7538 That's fairly accurate. I recently read that Toriyama wanted to kill Goku off for good after the Cell saga and make Gohan the new main character, hence the hype. But the manga supposedly had something about how he planned on it before he did it and he got a lot of backlash from Japan because they loved Goku so much. Him making him weak and kind of a joke afterwards mayyyy have been a stab at them because he WANTED to make him a badass at that point.
