UPDATED: This updated memoriam for 2017 includes several more celebrities, as well as their ages and cause of death, which I didn't include on the first batch of videos that I originally created in 2022. This revision also includes sound clips for some of the celebrities that I think you will find interesting. In the coming weeks, I plan to update a few more videos that I hope you will enjoy. Thank you to everyone for your support and kind words for this labor of love.
Was so heartbroken over Mary Tyler Moore Passing away . I love her show from the 1970s. She ‘s just so wonderful and inspirational . Miss You so much Mary !! 😢❤🕊️🕊️💐🌺🌸
I've watched a lot of these videos and it's shocking how many people have had pancreatic cancer.
Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer has the suckest survival rate: FIVE PERCENT. A friend of mine died from it at the age 37 in April 2019, he didn't even make it a year.
It's very hard to detect in the early stages. "Tumors in the pancreas tend to go undetected until they have already spread to other parts of the body. By some estimates, 80% or more of pancreatic cancers cannot be removed through surgery by the time they are identified."
He is not mentioned in this video, but Actor Miguel Ferrer passed in 2017 from throat cancer. Miguel Ferrer was known for having roles in various action movies and television shows. I personally knew him from his role as Assistant Director Owen Granger on the popular police procedural drama series known as NCIS Los Angeles. Ferrer starred in the show in Seasons 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. He was deeply loved by his costars Chris O Donnell, Daniela Ruah, Eric Christian Olsen, LL Cool J, Barrett Foa, Linda Hunt, and Renee Felice Smith, who starred as Granger’s coworkers Special Agent G. Callen, Special Agent Kensi Blye, LAPD Detective Marty Deeks, Special Agent Sam Hanna, Technical Operator Eric Beale, Operations Manager Henrietta Lange, and Intelligence Analyst Nell Jones.
Mary Tyler Moore was so pretty!
😮Mary moor
A great talent also.
It was so sad when David Cassidy passed away. And Adam West.😂😂😂😂
I think of all these tributes, 2017 has been the most losses of celebrities i grew up watching. No other year has been like 2017.May they all be resting in glory
When Hugh Hefner passed, nobody said "Well, he's in a better place now".
Yes, because he can't live such a lavish and debauched lifestyle in Hades.
Thank you for the effort and caring you put into these memories for us.
My mom 5/4/2017❤😢🕊
So very sorry for your loss. Sending hugs.😢❤
These are very well done. Thanks for sharing
Glad you like them!
Thank you for including the late, great John Wetton of ASIA fame in this revised episode.
Thank you for including some of the entertainers I remember from long ago, like lovely Anne Jeffreys, "Professor" Irwin Corey (the original wild and crazy guy), and Bill Dana, one of the earliest Latino comedians on TV. I even remember TV variety shows!
Bill Dana was not latino. He was Jewish.
@@StanTheObserver-lo8rx ok
Fact: Dick Gautier portrayed Batman with Yvonne Craig and Burt Ward reprised their roles as Batgirl and Robin in a PSA from the early 1970s that involved with equal pay.
This is a very good and thorough video; however, one person who should have been included was NHL Hall-Of-Famer Milt Schmidt, who died on January 4, 2017. Milt was a dominant player for the Boston Bruins during his lengthy playing career with the Bruins from 1936-1942 and again from 1945-1955. Schmidt was so well-respected that in 2017, he was named one of the 100 Greatest NHL players in hockey history.
@robertnorris9152. Good catch.
agree.
Powers Boothe will always be known for his iconic role as Jim Jones (Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones)
You ain't kidding neither. Are you?
Curly Bill Brocious has entered the chat. 😂 A great actor indeed.
First time I saw him was in The Emerald Forest. He was good and it was good.
He played Philip Marlowe on HBO too.
Thank you for the revision!
Chuck Berry. The King of Actual Rock and Roll.
I agree
So sad Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington both took their own lives Both so talented RIP 😔
Sad that Chester Bennington took his life on Chris Cornell's birthday.
I REALLY love your channel! I've watched so many of your "In Memoriam XXXX" videos, and have yet to see one that didn't feature at least one person whom I never knew passed away. And I'm particularly appreciative of the various audio clips that you often include. The clip that you included for Groucho Marx (one of your other IM videos) still has me laughing ("Oh, so it was murder!"), and the clip that you included for Roger Moore in this video showcases his incredible voice. Awesome work!!!
TomPettys loss is a heartbreaker
So very well done. Thank you
(12:48) Jerry Lewis: a dreadful, nasty man in real life who came across so endearingly funny onscreen. Annnd....(6:32). Don Rickles - a wonderful gracious man in real life - who was always nasty onstage and screen...Go figure...
Thank you for including John Wetton, forever the Voice of Asia.🎸😢🕊️
...it's good they can live on in our memories through their tv shows, movies, and music...the brevity of life...even if it's 100 years ... still brief...
Just love your channel ..... thank you.
So nice of you. Thank you.
david cassidy haunted my house on christmas, we had a partedge family bus ornament and it plays part of a song, it had been out of batteries for years, and at one point, it played for the last time
Nope, it was Danny Bonaducci broke in looking for drugs and accidentally dropped your ornament.
@@davidmitchell6873 dunno
I'll miss you batman.my favorite show when i was a kid.though it was the coolest show ever!😢😢😢😢😢
Thank you for seeing my comment in the previous version of this video and adding John Wetton and Richard Hatch.
No problem! Thank you for your input.
Erin Moran was so pretty!
I feel bad her life was so short. 😢
She ended up destitute and living on the street. Ron Howard tried to help her.
So sorry for your loss, Vince.
Actress Glenne Headly died June 8, 2017. I do not know what she is most known for but I know her from Law and Order: SVU and Monk (she played the captain's wife). Actress Heather Menzies Urich died December 24, 2017. She played Louisa von Trapp in the Sound of Music.
She was Dick Tracy’s (Warren Beatty) interest in Dick Tracy in 1990 as Tess Trueheart. She was the wife of Richard Dreyfuss character in Mr Hollands Opus as Iris Holland.
@@scottknode898 Played Truman's old lady in ' Fandango'.
@@jamesfields2916 She played Janet Colgate in "Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels" .
@@scottknode898 Ms Headly was so lovely as Tess, she gave the character such sweetness and warmth.
John Hurt was also Olivander in the Harry Potter Films and portrayed the "War Doctor" on Doctor Who
And he was the voice of the Dragon on the show Merlin.
There were so many, that year. I didn't realize.
I will also remember Power's Boothe, as Jim Jones. He looked just like him. They were spot on with that one.
🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
Also Cy Tolliver in Deadwood
2017 died my grandfather, which was 85 years old and this year on 2nd of November would be the 80th birthday of my father (his son-in-law) which died last year on 15th of September.😔💔
Sorry for your losses.
REST IN PEACE Erin Moran, Joanie(Shortcake)Cunningham. Adam West, Batman. Judge Wapner, Peoples Court. Mary Tyler Moore, Laura Petrie and Mary Richards. Martin Landau, Rollin Hand on Mission: Impossible. Lost a lot of well known actors in 2017.
I'll always remember Martin Landau as Commander John Koenig of "Space:1999".
WOW! What a shock, so many I liked in one year😢
Life is shorter than you think it is and after 30 the years go faster and faster.
Every decade goes faster but you are so right after 30 it flies
Geez, I’m writing this comment in March 2024 and I didn’t realize some of these people had passed ☹️
Rest In Peace Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington gone but never forgotten
I’d almost forgotten Chris Cornell was 2017 😞man that 1 still hurts 🖤that man played a huge part in some of the greatest records ever made in my opinion
Rest In Peace Chester Bennington.
His songs living forever.
I loved Della Reese. I enjoyed the series Touched by an Angel. She was a Lady!
Mary Tyler Moore was beautiful woman all her life! I think she matched up perfectly with Dick Van Dyke on his show back in the 1960's!
Rip Bill Paxton one of my favorite actors who appeared in classics including Twister, Tombstone as Morgan Earp, True Lies with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Aliens in 1986 as a memorable character Hudson killed by the Alien, Terminator in 1984 in a small role as one of gang members killed by Terminator at beginning of the film and killed off in Predator 2 in 1990. Rest in Peace to Powers Boothe who was in Tombstone as one of the best villains Curly Bill. Rip to Sir Roger Moore most notably known for playing the iconic character James Bond in 7 films over 12 years and was one of my favorite Bond actors as been a big fan of Bond series over 25 years starting when was 9 years old in 1995 when Goldeneye was released. I lost an uncle (my mom’s oldest brother in a tragic pedestrian/car accident in 2017 at age 61 rip Uncle Les 1956-2017.
RIP to all the stars of my years on this earth. At of all of those the one that I am really sad about is Dick Enberg. He was the voice of some of the greatest sports moments I can remember. So a big, Oh, My to you all.
The losses of Bill Paxton and Chris Cornell were particularly rough. Gone too soon.
I didn't realize how many household names passed in 2017, but I was distracted that year taking care of my dying mother, then writing her memorial service and finally scattering her ashes in the mountains she loved. Really hadn't heard of most of these. She was born the same year as Hugh Heffner.
Not shown but RIP Roy Halladay
William Woodson voiced cartoon characters and narrated NFL highlight footage. He was 101 when he died in 2017 but was wrongly left out!
What were the odds that brothers from another mother, Bobby Heenan and
Don Rickles both died in 2017.
2017 The year my Wife passed away.😢😢
Sorry for your loss 😢
God bless your wife ❤
😢
😢
Sorry for your sad loss.
Butch Trucks (Allman Brothers Band drummer) died in January 2017.
I have so many fond memories associated with watching Mannix and Mary Tyler Moore show every Saturday night in my young adult life. Rest in peace to all who touched our lives in their own way. 🙏
I lost my father in 2017, which overrides my sadness over any of these other people.
He died the day before Adam West (Batman).
So sorry❤
I love these videos. Are you going to be doing ones from the 1970’s?
You do a great job. But I noticed in your videos you put famous or popular UA-camr who pass away in there. You forgot to put one in this video and that was Charles Green AKA Angry Grandpa. He may not as popular as PewDee Pie or other but he did have a good fan base.
Yes. I will have all the 1970s posted as time goes on.
@@ScottisTechIt's nice to see someone who remembers AGP.
@@eileenryan2248 I always think of AGP. He was a inspiration to alot of UA-camrs
John Hurt also did "Night Crossing."
Also Dr. Who
❤🎉 Rest in Paradise.
Ralphie May was so funny. I really miss him.
Need to add Robert Hardy
Muito obrigado
Good job, Vince Gargerelli, uh, I mean Gargiulo.
You deserve a big "Rimshot" for your effort!

Mary Tyler Moore: utterly adorable in every way. I miss her a LOT.

In memory of my father, Philip Rubin,July 19, 2017
RIP Chuck Berry
I can't believe that they have been dead 6-7 years ago!😮
Man I didn't realize how big of year that was for losing some really great and well known people.
Mel Tillis was best known in the military community for his song Stateside.
Super heavy on "the wrasslers"
SAD WE LOST 2 GREAT HEROS BATMAN ( ADAM WEST ) AND BOND. JAMES BOND ( ROGER. MOORE )
REST IN HEAVENLY PARADISE EVERYONE. THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME LAUGH . TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO I ENJOYED.
I had read The Exorcist many years ago. Fantastic story and scary as heck.
Chuck Berry, more of a King and great artist than Elvis ever was. Just awesome.
My mother died in the same year😢
Man I loved Fats Domino! What an act he was!
I remember the t.v. series Topper staring Leo G. Carroll. There were two ghosts George and Marian who had died and haunted him. It was funny.
When AW died LA turned on the ...bat signal...one last time 4 an overnite tribute...its never been seen again😭😭✌️✌️
Glenn Campbell❤
Wow that was a long one. Don't usually sit on the toilet that long.
June Foray died from cardiac arrest.
Dorothy Mengering "Dave's Mom" who was probably more beloved on Letterman's show than he was.
Sean Connery didn't like the press and Mel Gibson doesn't like anybody.
One doesn't actually die from Alzheimer's disease, but the complications themselves.
Ciao For Now Benson.
A lot of wrestlers, but no football, baseball, or hockey players.
Chester Bennington hung himself because his friend Chris Cornell died the same way. Both had everything to live for.
Bye bye super fly.
Tom Petty was a great lose. Such talent wasted on drugs. People you can live without drugs but you can die with them.
Where is Charles Mason it’s not in this video
Pretty sure no one gave a damn he died.
I have made the decision to not include known serial killers in these videos.
@@inmemoriam2000 But that means are you going to delete the original one right
nicoschoonbee1751, It's spelled manson; not mason.
Awe Judge Wap???? Iam a loser
