At the time of death, Tom Seaver was also suffering from dementia, which was diagnosed and announced in 2019. Also, Mac Davis wrote "In the Ghetto", which was a big hit for Elvis Presley.
Al Kaline, legendary Hall of Famer for the Detroit Tigers, also broadcaster on TV for the team after he retired…Beloved by all Tigers fans….age 85, April 6, 2020. 😢🙏⚾️
Al Kaline, Hall of Fame outfielder Detroit Tigers, April 6, 2020, age 85......22 seasons in Detroit, 1968 world champions......
My mom August 4, 2020. Miss her every day.
My son Shawn, a teacher of English, one 2020 October morning started without him.
Al Kaline was the GREATEST EVER Detroit Tigers player! He needed to be included!
Adam Schlesinger, bassist and songwriter of Fountains of Wayne, succumbed to Covid on April 1st.
I'm sorry for all your personal losses in 2020 including your beloved kitty Boo.
Well done. Hard to include everyone but I would like to add John Prine, Basketball HOF Wes Unseld, Harold Reid (Statler Brothers) as well as the great Hall of Fame Baseball players Pitcher Bob Gibson and 2B Joe Morgan. Finally, I lost both parents to the evil Covid-19 in 2020. They are so missed every day. May all rest well.
Blame Covid on Dr. Evil, Fauci. I wish you can overcome your grief just a little, so not to live in sadness. 🙏🏻
There were many great people lost in 2020, but James Lipton was an absolute national treasure that I hope people who are unfamiliar with his work take some time to explore.
Chadwick Boseman's passing was such a shock. Rest in peace, King.
Lyle Waggoner also started a company called Star Waggons that studios use as on location trailers.
Rest in peace Sean Connery 😢
How could you leave out Harold Reid, the bass singer for the Statler Brothers? He died April 24th, 2020 at the age of 80 from kidney failure. If you can include Kenny Rogers and Charlie Daniels, then Harold should be on this list as well.
I don't think he intentionally leaves people out. He will add when mentioned I believe❤.
Terry Jones was one of the truly greats of Monty Python...even better than John Cleese. And even more so, he was supreme as a TV presenter of documentaries.
I was lucky enough to see the Charlie Daniels Band in concert once. I also loved Sir Sean Connery as Indy’s dad in INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE.
Rip Sean Connery the definitive James Bond and I am a big fan of the Bond series even though I grew up as kid on Pierce Brosnan and in college when Daniel Craig took over in casino Royale. Other Connery movies I liked were The Rock, The Hunt For Red October and favorite Bond films of his were Goldfinger and From Russia With Love. Rip as well to legendary actor Kirk Douglas among others who passed in 2020.
To all the people saying "you forgot this person or that person", you can't include everybody.
Peter Green July 25th...the founder of Fleetwood Mac...and one of the greatest guitarists ever... 🎸
I would miss my pet more than most people I know.
I talked to your pet. They hate you, but dont want to say anything because you kidnapped them, keep them hostage in your home, and control their food supply.
After watching these videos, (very well done,) I kind of feel a bit more lonely. We remember most all of them, some we didn't know had passed away.
I have a small list of things I'm proud to have seen and done. Meeting a shaking General Chuck Yeagers hand is one.
Met Curly Neal when I was 10. He brought so much fun and joy to kids and adults from my generation. Rest in peace
We lost millions and millions of people in 2020 it was insane
Honorable mentions
~~~
Benny Mardones (June 29, 2020)
Frankie Banali (August 20, 2020)
Luke Harper (December 26, 2020)
Steve Priest (June 4, 2020)
R.i.P to All 💔🙏
Damn didnt know a few people i though were still alive, passed.👏
Bob Shane, founding member of The Kingston Trio, passed the same day as Kobi
Nothing on probably one of the most iconic soccer figures in history--Diego Maradona?
Rest in peace also to Stan Kirsch, who passed 1/11/20 from suicide at age 51. 😔 He played Richie Ryan on Highlander the Series (1992-1998) but was also familiar as Monica's high school senior fling in the Friends episode "The One with the Ick Factor" (1995).
You left out McCoy Tyner, who died on March 6, 2020. He was one of the most influential jazz pianists of all time. Played with John Coltrane for five years in the 1960s and then had a long and distinguished solo career.
In all truthfulness, Dawn Wells was suffering from Alzheimers at the time. Yes, perhaps she did succumb to Covid, but she was on her way to the afterlife anyways. RIP dear Dawn. We will always remember and cherish you.
I’m glad someone mentioned him!!! Thank You!!
Kirk Douglas, Olivia De Havilland, Kenny Rogers, Kevin Dobson, and Hugh Downs were the people I didn't know had died. 😥😥😥
Another Honorable Mention. Benny Mardones, the singer /songwriter best known for his single Into the Night, passed away due to complications of Parkinson's Disease on June 29, 2020; the same day as Carl Reiner.
I lliked the rememberance to the victims of COVID at the beginning of this piece. I would ask that you not only remember them but those who risked their own lives, some in vain, trying to save the millions of people who contracted this horrible disease,-the doctors, nurses, EMTs, police, and hospital and doctor's office staff that came in contact with the infected and did their jobs. Remember too, the families who not only lost family members, but time and income caring for the sick, and burying and mourning the dead. And finally, this November. I would ask you to remember the one man who could have made a positive difference in the number of people we lost but chose instead to play to his base, and hinder efforts to control the epidemic by making light of the people who chose to wear masks and observe distancing, aligningn himself with the anti-vaxxers claiming it was a matter of personal choice, and continually pushing false cures and repeating false claims that the epidemic would end soon without further acts of the CDC and Dr. Fauci to require the people to do anything more. Remember the lies. Remember too that he caught COVID and got the best of care, when thousands of people were dying in the hospitals of this country with nothing to save them. Or begging for the vaccine when they had previously turned it down, only to be told that the vaccine only prevented the disease or made it less serious. It was not a cure and they waited too long. Remember all those people and never let Donald Trump ever lead this country again. There is blood on his hands. Vote Blue in memory of those who should be with us, and those who risked and gave their lives to try to save them.
All your alarmist BS has failed. Keep your politics out of it. Now go get your booster.
I love when Eddie Van Halen played the guitar on Michael Jackson's Beat It ❤
Im so sorry about your Boo😢. I have 5 kitties and they are my best friends. And damn the covid-19...😤
Honorable mention:
Clive Cussler
b. July 15, 1931
Author
Known for many action fictional novels, most notably the Dirk Pitt series; two of which were "Raise The Titanic" and "Sahara," both of which were made into movies.
Age 88 (undisclosed causes)
February 24, 2020
David Schramm (Wings' Roy Biggins) March 28 2020.
Wow. Just serves as a reminder of how many great people Covid-19 took away from us.
Involuntary manslaughter if you ask me. Their deaths were completely avoidable.
@@robertdubs9466even those who had other causes they passed from, it was profitable and fashionable to write it up as a KoVId passing.
👺💉💦💦💦 👉
🥴🥴🥴🥴🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑
My mom, Lucy. January 7, 2020. Same as Neil Peart. Of course I didn't know about Neil, and my daughter waited a couple days to tell me. Good kid.
I am made from the dust of the stars. The oceans flow through my veins.
Presto- 1989
Neil Peart 1952-2020
Before Leo Messi, there was Diego Armando Maradona. Surely, there was enough room on this list to honor the greatest footballer of his era.
Diego Maradona, november 25th.
Honorable Mention to Alan Canfora, who was one of the nine surviving victims of the Kent State shootings. He passed away after a brief illness on December 20, 2020.
I can handle losing a friend better than losing my fur babies it's harder
Ian Holm and Joel Schumacher
Even though he was a pitcher in MLB, and the author of the only World Series perfect game, Don Larsen should be included as well. He died on New Year's Day, 2020 of esophageal cancer at the age of 90. At the time of his passing Larsen was the only one left on either team (Brooklyn Dodgers being the other) that played in that game.
I was in shock when I heard that Kobe Bryant died in that helicopter crash.
Ruth Bader Ginsberg ,HELEN REDDY EDDIE VAN HALEN TOO MANY PEOPLE TO NAME. THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN TO US. SEAN CONNERY WAS THE BEST OO7 .
So sorry for your personal losses. So sorry to hear about Boo. :(
One of the hardest things abt covid19, is that not only was it killing so many ppl, but those ppl had to pass away alone, bc family could not be there, when their loved one breathed their last, bc the virus was so contagious. I'm so sorry. 🕊🌹🪽
It was a crazy time. Who'd a thought, in a time like that, the two hardest things to find were toilet paper and a haircut.
Great notices. Yet, the omissions of HOF’s Mr. Kaline, Mr. Morgan, Mr. Gibson, Mr. Niekro, Coach John Thompson, FOOTBALL HOF’s Mr. Wilson and Mr. Hourning, Basketball HOF Mr. Jones and Mr. Heinshon, and Mr. Unseld, we’re rather glaring. And I have seen other victims of other notable accidents noticed…the other chopper victims alongside Mr. Kobe and Ms. GiGi were also missing-particularly Coach John Altobelli, one of the top baseball coaches of all-time. Otherwise, keep ‘em coming. A revision would do this list a whole lot of great.
One of the deaths that hit me the most was Kobe.
Me Being A Country Music Fan I Will Miss Joe Diffie And Charlie Dannels
When percussionists need to recalibrate their timing they listen to a metronome. When metronomes need to recalibrate their timing they’d listen to Neil Peart.
My great uncle sound produced the James Bond series from Dr. No through Octopussy (along with over 300 other movies; one of which he one an Academy Award for) and became lifelong friends with Sean Connery. I’ll bet they’re up there having fun again!
John Prine died on April 7, 2020. Not cool to overlook him.
❤🎉 Rest in Paradise All.
So many I miss. Brian Dennehy was always top class in everything I saw him in. Olivia de Havilland! Starred with Errol Flynn in one of the best films ever made. Kevin Dobson - great in "Kojak". Hard to believe they are all gone.
Too many good people I grew up with, I will always remember with ❤ love.😢
Informative...
In the UK, David Prowse was also well known for a series of TV infomercials he made in the 1970s as The Green Cross Code Man, promoting road safety to children ("Always remember your Green Cross Code/Because I won't be there when you cross the road").
Helen Reddy was so pretty and so was Abby Dalton!
Black Mamba 8 & 24
Kobe was one of my favorite players
Rest in peace to UA-camr that year, VappyVap88. He worked for youtuber and twitch streamer Vinny Vinesause. He died at 31 on April 22, 2020 due to cardiac arrest. May he rest in peace.
My sister committed suicide on April 6 2020 it's still hard for me to deal with I miss her sad for all the families of these people!
I remember Sunday evenings, watching Ed Sullivan with my folks. That's where we first saw the comedy team of Stiller and Meara, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. They made us laugh with honest humor.
Very sad! 😞💟
It sucks to be old, because it means that you're that closer to death..
Prior to this, I had no idea that Jack Burns was in on the creation of Hee-Haw. Amazing.
My husband Wendell, October 18, 2020 ... miss you honey ... love you forever.
Anyone remember Toney Rice ? December 25 2020 .
Half had other symptoms..not ALL COVID
Was just going to say the same...The few that I know that died during that time had other health issues going on...How do they explain all the people that had it multiple times and are still here...I had it twice and I am by no means an example of perfect physical health.Also wonder why they're removing all the cold medicine from the shelves?Hmm...
I can not believe you didn't include John Prine.
Jerry Jeff Walker....."Pissin in the wind" ❤❤❤❤
Just sub to your channel btw I almost died during the pandemic
RIP angels
2020 was rough
I know people always say you missed so and so...but there were 4 famous athletes who also died that fall within a couple months of each other that you failed to mention. Joe Morgan, Bob Gibson, Paul Hornung, Rafer Johnson....MLB, MLB, NFL, Olympics.
Tough year… so many Giants of their field. You know it’s going to be a tough year if Kobe dies In January
You dont know Ennio Morricone... one of the best movie soundtrack composers on the planet???
Other people died in that helicopter crash besides Kobe and his daughter. There are no statues of the other people. They deserve just as much attention.
Rock music lost 3 of its legends from the 70's & 80's.
Neal Peart-Rush
Eddie VanHalen- VanHalen
Leslie West-Mountain
That "2020" Covid was no joke. I almost died from it. My ex Bro-n-law did pass away.
I knew three people (so far) who died from it, so the Fox "News"-watching bozos claiming it's a hoax or "just a bad cold" can kiss my ass.
Robert Conrad was also ithe early 1960's tv show "Hawaiian Eye."
Why is the word “field “ written underneath occupation instead of actor for Dawn Wells ??….(Gilligans Island)..
I think Grant Imahara is missing too! He died in 2020 from an aneurysm. He was on Battle Bots I believe.
Missed John Prine. Unbelievable and totally out of touch with what matters to so many people.
You forgot to add shad gaspard to this list he die drowning saving his son from drowning may 17 2020 you forgot to add him to the list
Ja'net Dubois was 74 not 87/RIP
Thank you. Yes, according to IMDB, she was born in 1932 and was 87 when she died in 2020. Press releases at the time of her death claimed she was 74.
ROBERT CONRAD WAS COOL IN THE SHOW THE WILD WILD WEST . KOBE STILL CAN NOT BELIEVE IT. BILL WITHERS GREAT SINGER . LITTLE RICHARD A SCREAM LOVED HIM . JERRY STILLER SEINFELD FUNNY SHOW. BONNIE POINTER LOVED HER AND HER SISTER'S. NAYA RIVERA VERY SAD . KELLY PRESTON BEAUTIFUL.
REST IN HEAVENLY PARADISE EVERYONE THANK YOU FOR TOUCHING MY LIFE . CHADWICK BOSEMAN YOU ARE A KING . WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE 😍 YOU AND WE WILL NEVER EVER FORGET YOU AMEN.
No mention of Phil May, lead singer of the Pretty Things r.i.p
Poor David Dinkins. His campaign never recovered from the Lloyd Braun name tag fiasco.
*I would miss my pet more than most people I know*
What a year of losses. Musically, it started very early with the greatness of Neil Peart. Add in the likes of Charlie Daniels, Kenny Rogers, Charley Pride, Johnny Nash, Bill Withers, Little Richard, Eddie Van Halen.....what a lineup of talent. Baseball lost some memorable greats; The Chairman of the Board, Whitey Ford....Tom Seaver, Lou Brock. On the big screen, two absolute legends in Sean Connery and Kirk Douglas, along with Max von Sydow, and taken far too soon, Chadwick Boseman. Television lost some great talent in Alex Trebek, James Lipton, and Grant Imahara. The Notorious RBG left an indelible mark on the country with her work on the Supreme Court, and perhaps the most shocking death of the year was the loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna.
Stan kirsch is missing!!!!
My Father Bruce Bray - Jan 19th, 2020. Continue to Rest In Peace Dad.
🙏
Sawe heavens people some want them in theys bodys@@chrisb4331
