I got the black gold burst 35th SE and other than needing a setup (action was a tad high) it is amazing. I love the tap switches and the pickup selector non blade switch. I think I may order another

I think all Lee needs to do, and has been doing gradually some lately, is drop his reservedness and cut loose. He’s very tasteful with his licks. And I love Lee’s vibrato.
@@allenmitchell09 I think, if he could try and focus on getting into playing rhytmically it would happen naturally, because he got most in place. Maybe going for a the feel of a hornsection is the direction. He's playing safe most of the time, BUT; he is improving on all parameters and he still has a business to run ;-)
I don’t understand why Lee puts his own playing down, I always find it expressive and enjoyable. These two guys are great, good to watch Andertons videos these days. And thank you for dropping that “Grrrrreeetings” nonsense.
I miss Chappers. With him and Lee we had all kind of wankerism - low gain wankerism, hi gain wankerism, mid gain wankerism, clean sound wankerism, some nice hi gain riffs. With Lee and Pete all we get are low gain wankerism and clean wankerism.
I’m going to be one of those guys that gives Cap the thumbs up on his playing. Not only is it good, but you can tell his improvement over the years makes him quite happy. To you, Lee, to Pete, all you guys at Andertons and all of you out there, be safe and let your 6 string...well, or 7 or 8 string...damn, and your 4 and 5 strings bring you joy during this down time.
Beautiful guitars and amazing sounds, and in the hands of Pete and Lee they become even more special. I had to wait until my 12.5 hour shift was through before I could watch this video. Was so worth the wait for that quality PRS jamming by Pete and Lee. Never disappointed with their jamming sessions. The lick bullying made me literally belly lol in my hotel room. Thankfully my neighbors didn't get too annoyed.

For me, S2 is THE PRS guitar line. I could never afford, nor do I need, a core model and the S2s are so very close to cores in quality and sound. In addition they are SO much better than the SEs, not that the SEs are terrible, but the $500ish price difference between the two is worth every penny and then some. Just got the S2 594 Thin Line - PHENOM guitar!
I like that you walked us through the boards a bit too, it gave us a chance to know what makes the guitar sound how as well. I would love to see more stuff like the last bit Cap'n Lee did, where he compared pedals with the same guitar. It tells us what the guitar will sound like in different context, and I think that's a good thing.

Let me tell you from someone who owns a strat, a Les Paul and Custom 22, the 25" scale length is the perfect " Goldilocks zone". Until you feel the difference, you wouldn't realize how much it could make such an improvement.

Hey guys. Important clarification. You state they have the 85/15 pups installed. They don't! They are 85/15 "s", which of course are the Korean made versions. And the trem is Korean too. Not necessarily a bad thing, but that's what they do on the S2 line. American made with mostly SE Korean parts. Cheers!
You are correct sir. And having one myself I can say, the Koreans were trained amazingly well by PRS and the parts are definitely high quality. Its a great playing instrument, the pickups have serious character and range of tones. (Really does cover everything from.Strat to Las Paul). I love the way the bridge is designed, so easy to adjust and it feels so nice/smooth when you rest your hand on it (while palm muting, or " almost" palm muting). Its just so comfortable and smooth.
dude yes, i even had the custom 22 . And it was the best sounding guitar I ever had.. Ended up selling it and regret it big time. Great value for the price.
I always thought the pickups were too close together. I had a custom 24 se and a custom 22 se and I couldn’t get the sound from the 24 that I wanted. I found the single coil feature to be useless on the one I had. Ended up selling it. I don’t regret it
I've been reading various reviews about the PRS SE Custom 24 35th Anniversary - Black Gold Burst guitar and a lot of people seem to be complaining that the colour in pictures and videos isnt what they're getting. Its different so whats your take on this? Also I personally dont like the placement of that pickup selector. Imo its too far away to the back and I would have preferred a blade type selector.
Check out Reverb for them. They're all different with varying degrees of "deepness". Many people would have fallen victim to randomness if they didn't buy from Reverb or Sweetwater.

how do you set the amp for clean for both of you and pete how do you set the drives up to tame the brightness of the prs i am having the hardest time with that and i am usin a hotrod deville ML
Captain already knows a lot of techniques and melodies, but feels like he applies it in one jam and forget about them in the next, if you apply them all in one jam you'd easily be as dynamic as pete.

I own a US made, S2 Custom 24 in Whale Blue ordered in late 2018, but built in early 2019 as they were catching up on orders. I simply love it.

Lee really has fantastic bending and vibrato, I've noticed that in the past couple intros just how great it is.
