I own them all. Dollar for dollar, there's no better guitar made than PRS. Flawless as they come
Completely agree
Same. Not all but I have 7! Love em all
After playing PRS I never looked back. Another little known stand out are McInturff. guitars. I owned a Royale and unfortunately sold it for more 420 😅 recently got a CE24 semi hollow 🤘
My Mclaughlin has wrongly cut nut spacing
I love PRS guitars... but dollar for dollar?
Really? 🤣
9.5s on my PRS. Game changer. 9's were too light. 10's too heavy.
I use 9.5-44 daddario nyxl on mine too.
😎👍💓🇺🇸🎸 LONG LIVE PRS!!!
RELIC FREE SINCE 1985!
PRS= pride, craftsmanship.. Quality control is leaps and bounds better, top notch tone, tuning stability, top quality tops, perfect fret work, better dried woods..
PRS is the relentless pursuit of perfection
100%, but lacking mojo. I own PRS and Gibson...Gibson is shit to play, cannot get perfect string action, tuning stability...etc...but it sounds way better for 5 mjnutes, before going out of tune. PRS just works...but sounds just OK
@@treishtrei NONSENSE.. I own over 20 guitars, I play them side by side same amps same settings.. The gibsons dont sound better
John and Tim. Two very accomplished guitarist as well as just awesome humans. Would love to hang with these guys.
I love the black Singlecut. Dots with an opaque color. So subtle.
It looks like garbage. The birds are perfect on a PRS. Doesn’t look like a firewood tree (like Gibson)
Tim’s passion for PRS guitars is very infectious,I have a 2003 Brazilian McCarty#268 of 500 blu mateo 🙏❤
That black one is killer! There's something really nice with solid tops + dot inlays on PRS. Really nice vibe 👌🏼🎸
prs have about coolest flame tops plus they sound so great..thanks for the look at some cool guitars
And you can rely on their quality
dude when we where 15 and a part time job we could get a es 335 its sad for kids today i think..and that guitar has to rock look at that model name
Beautiful guitars.
Amazing player/amazing guitar!
Wow 😮 great to be able to have guitars that really speak to you
great guitar - sounds amazing
i wish Tim showed his Tom Anderson guitars on this rundown as well as the other brands he uses. it would be nice to know the stories of those guitars.
I don’t think they wanted a 2 hour video 😂
With a set of 58/15 lt TCI pickups, my Custom22 sounds just as great as a 1959 Burst
I have owned core McCartys, 594 and DGTs and I still prefer the Custom 22 Core to all others.
Love your PRS collection. They look and sound KILLER. Can you make a video to compare the 594, McCarty and the DGT please? I know they are all vintage vibe but would like to know how they sound different. Thanks 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
What John said about the DGT is important. It gets close to a lot of things but it really sounds like it own thing. I hear folks say the same about LPs, it’s in own thing and nothing else can do it. IMO the DGT is the new LP.
Really nice collection. Especially the single cut. But, blue Jean blue. Look out.😎
PG, if you ever get a chance, can you do a rig rundown with The Werks and Twiddle? Two jam bands that have some fantastic guitars. Chris Houser of the Werks always has something cool.
Very nice, love PRS. Maybe we can call it a whammy bar and avoid the controversy.
Since I started playing PRS guitars I now call Gibson's less pauls.. Gibson has been aware of the LP short comings/issues with the nut, the headstock angle, the way the strings come out of the nut and a very steep angle.
Paul didnt just make a les Paul style he made it right...
Que the Gibson fan boys.
I have a 2004 Custom 24 Artist and a 2018 McCarty 594. Amazing playing guitars. The McCarty is probably the best sounding guitar I own. About the only other guitar I own that fits into the PRS quality category is my 2011 EVH Wolfgang USA. That thing is right there with my PRS guitars.
Looks and tone. What more could you want?
What are the new measurements for a bridge humbucker for a PAUL REED SMITH?
How PRS did solve the G-string issue? Is it because strings go almost straight between nut and tuners?
Yes, and the nut is slotted on a slight angle for the d & g strings
With the stop tailpiece how can you get your perfect intonation?
There is no such thing as perfect intonation, but you have to use the string gauge it was designed for. They also have an adjustable version if you really need it
@@Shiznitt_ thats even less cool than an evertune. Adjustable is a must
@@Ottophilthey make one with adjustable saddles too. But realistically, how often are you adjusting your intonation?
The tail piece is compensated like an acoustic guitar and there are 2 adjustment screws where the tail piece attaches to the mounting posts. You can shift the entire piece at the top post and the bottom post up or back a bit. I own a PRS S2 singlecut with an adjustable single tail piece and you can also swap out the compensated tail piece on the guitar in the video for the fully adjustable tail piece. Look up a PRS Zach Mayers SE to see the adjustable single tail piece. By the way, I think my PRS S2 tail piece is the most comfortable to play of any guitar I have ever played.
Trust me, it is
give us a duster rig rundown cmonnnnn
How about fixing all those guitars with cloudy finishes?
what does goty (?) mean. flashy guitars?
Gear of the year
gaudy
Gaudy? Alembic? Thoughts?
Yep Paul set out to make a better Gibson and that black prs is the definitive proof of that blindfold anybody and let them hear that they would think is to Les Paul
MACROTE POUR PRS ⁉⁉⁉⚑👌👌👍✌✌✌😃😃😃😅
Wang bar
Would have loved to hear without the effects and distortions
i want one but my God they make Gibsons even seem reasonably priced
Try a PRS S2 McCarty. Several hundred dollars less than a Gibson. I agree with you about the price of a core PRS McCarty but I equate those more to a custom shop Gibson which is the same price or more than the core PRS.
Wow terrible job stringing that thing. Fire your tech and hire me.
PRS guitars in my humble opinion suck so bad that I have stopped taking them in for setups and repairs at my shop. They are just cheap as they come. Finish, hardware, electronics, bridges, tuners, truss rod adjustments and truss rod covers. I hope I never see another one ever again. And don't go there because I have seen all models and all SUCK!!!!!!!!!! Sorry!
lol, is that sarcasm?
Yep, they suck so badly I stopped sending them in for repairs.
@@rosewoodsteel6656 Paul Smith believes that the tuners on a guitar affect the overall tone and he also is head over heels about tone wood and that it also affects the tone of an electric guitar. 2 more reasons I don't like PRS guitars. Paul is a knucklehead and that makes his guitars knuckleheads. Everything that has to do with PRS guitars makes me vomit!
Also, why do most of his guitars experience color fade, color change and chipping due to the inferior paints and stains he chooses to use on these junk pieces of wood? Cookie cutter guitars all of them.
@@ronaldgoebel2174 The only color that I've ever heard about fading were the very early whale blues, and many think they look better faded. I've never heard of any chipping. Your prejudice may be showing a bit, Goebel.
Too expensive.....
Get a used one.
