For those that don't know,Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri has some crazy temperature swings. It's not uncommon for the 24hr swing to approach 50°f in the winter and shoulder seasons. The best way I've heard it described is " both the hottest and coldest place I've ever been" . The jet stream has a tendency to dip the deepest in the continental US right there and if you're going out , you better take an extra layer- it can easily go from 90 to the 50's or 40's to below zero in a day.
