I would like to see just one person define the drunkenness, and defined in a way that is applicable to all people of every era.

David Barnes proverbs 23:31-33 as well as other places in the scripture.. the bible defines everything and it remains constant. mans definition will change depending on how he is feeling that day..

why not let the bible define drunk...
Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.
    Proverbs:23:31
At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
    Proverbs:23:32
Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.
    Proverbs:23:33
Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.
    Proverbs:23:34
you start wanting strange women(been there) and when you lay down, the room start spinning.(been there too)
there isnt one scripture that condems drinking alcohol.. in fact, this is what Jesus commands his servants to do during the celebration of his holy days
Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.
    Proverbs:23:34
And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
    Deuteronomy:14:23
And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
    Deuteronomy:14:24
Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
    Deuteronomy:14:25
And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
    Deuteronomy:14:26
and FYI- being spiritual drunk is spoke more in the bible than a physical drunk..

Wine [oinos] is not always alcohol. John 3, Jesus could not have possibly made an alcohol wine, it was just grape juice.
According to scripture, Jesus never sinned, and Jesus was amenable to the Mosaic law Galatians 4:4. Had Jesus made all that wine as alcohol, then He would have sinned Habbakuk 2:15.
Had Jesus made all that wine as alcohol, then it would of been a drunken party (banquetings) 1 Peter 4:3, and that would have caused Him to sin. Not only was it illegal for Him to make alcohol and distribute alcohol, and now kegs of alcohol for a drunken party?
Various scripture reminds us to stay sober, so what is sober? Ephesians 5:18 says that we are not to be drunk but FILLED with the HS. Being FILLED with the HS does not leave any room for any degree of drunkenness, being filled with the HS define sobriety, and if we add alcohol to our bodies, then we are no longer FILLED with the HS, we are no longer sober.
