Pat Benatar is Another ROCK GODDESS you Really Should check out! Her Vocals are a mixture of Liquid Gold & Dynamite and with Her Hubby on Guitar ~ Talk about a Dynamic Duo! I'd recommend "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" or "We Belong" or "Promises in the Dark" for starters 😘 ENJOY! ♪♫♪
Heart!!! Ann and Nancy Wilson!! Definitely one of the best Female vocalists EVER!!!!! She is an absolute POWERHOUSE! She has earned her spot in music history! Led Zeppelin does not really like people to cover their songs but they have always had a place for Nancy and Ann Wilson.
watching Jason preform playing his daddy`s drums- Robert Plant was his godfather after his dad passed in 1980-which led to the group disbanding- this was beautiful
If you haven't heard Barracuda from Heart, one of the best rock songs ever made, you have to get to it. It's back from the 70s, and they were big in the 80s too.
Robert Plant said that over the years he had grown to hate this song because so many had covered it and destroyed it. He said Ann nailed it. Plant did tear up at the end. Jason Bonham on drums, is the original drummer John Bonham son. It was the death of John Bonham that ultimately shut down the band. The bowler hat was John Bonham’s signature… as also worn by the choir. The John F. Kennedy Center Honors are celebrated annually. Attended by every President in office, except Trump. The medals given are for excellence in performing arts. Nominees range from rock bands to opera to rap artists to ballet to Broadway plays to movies to TV to comedy. It’s a big deal and the audience is jammed with celebrity. Average annual due to be a member of Kennedy Center is $10K. Tickets are sold out months, even years in advance. If you research, the honorees are widely known talented performing artists that have made a mark on the US culture.
Jason Bonham is Robert Plant's godson. The story goes that Robert invited Jason to attend this show together with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and himself, in honour of his father. But Jason declined because he had "other engagements" for that night. Jason coming on stage to play this song was a big surprise for Robert, Jimmy and John Paul.
Except Trump, thats just disgusting that Trump couldn't honor a legendary band, it makes me sick that these celebrity scumbag liberals skanks didn't see the great president he was!
Growing Up, Heart was a Role Model for a Lot of Us Young Ladies ~ at the time there weren't very many Hard Rock'n Women & when I had my daughters, I Played a lot of Heart for them..... fast forward a few years & My Daughters Returned the Favor by Taking Me to SEE Heart in Concert 3 times now ♪♫♪ ♥ Those Ladies STILL ROCK THE HOUSE! THANK YOU for Giving, what I think is one of their Best Covers ♥ BLESSINGS
These are rock legends honoring rock gods. The Wilson sisters, Ann vocals and Nancy on guitar and their band Heart started out in Seattle in the early 70’s and have had numerous hits over the decades. Magic Man, Barracuda, Alone, Crazy on You, These Dreams and more. They’re in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Ann was 62 and Nancy 58 when they performed this tribute. BTW, Nancy is rated one if the top guitar players in rock.
I love this version not only because Heart are amazing, but because it touched the band so much to hear it performed so beautifully ❤ I never thought I'd hear a cover that would do the original such justice
Some days all you need is a little Ann and Nancy Wilson to make your day. Then to have them kill such and iconic tune was epic. As for Heart here’s a list: Steamboat Annie, Barracuda, Straight On You, Alone, Dreams
Yes Jason is the son of Led Zepplin's late drummer John Bonham. Also Robert Plants God son. They had asked Jason to join them in the box. Jason told them he couldn't because of a prior engagement, so he could surprise them. Fun Fact- The drums Jason was playing on were the ones his father played while he was with Led Zepplin.
Great reaction. You really need to see and hear Baracuda, Crazy on you, Magic Man that's just a start..Ann is absolutely the QUEEN OF ROCK 💯 Can't wait for more reactions from Heart!!
I've watched this video so many times, and I'll watch it so many more. I never get tired of it, and I get choked up every time. Thanks for reacting to this. It really does mean a lot to Zep fans like me.
Sends a shiver down my spine every single time without fail! Not sure if someone said but note the bowler hats that the choir wear, it was the signature hat of their late drummer John B! Their drummers dad! 🥹😭💖
Heart "Barracuda" to hear the flavor of the Wilson sister's start. They've gone thru many phases in their own career to land on that stage and example numb 1, the drummer, Jason played/toured with Heart, check out their cover of "Black Dog" with Jason on drums. Second, b4 Heart was Heart, they started as a LZ cover band, way b4 Ann started and continued when she joined, that's what you did back then. Ann was 62y when she belted that out. Next, Nancy came in, come on, a girl with a guitar, in the 70's!! They wrote their music, listen to "Barracuda" we'll explain... This was Kennedy Center Honors, established to honor those with great influence on American culture, only like 5 rockers been honored so this was pretty cool...you saw sitting present at that time in video, Obama's. Thanks for this one. 👍🏽❤❤
I loved Jimmy Page's face watching the guitar solo. Heart did an awesome job, loved Jason on drums and everyone in the choir wearing the bowler hats in tribute to John. This definitely got me in the feels.
I saw in an interview a few years back where Robert Plant shared he was emotional watching Jason Bonham play drums, as his dad was John Bonham (original drummer and best friend - RIP 🙏). Beautiful tribute ❤️
The Kennedy Center Awards are given annually to honor lifetime achievements in the Arts. Led Zeppelin was an Obama honoree. President and Mrs. Obama were seated to their left. The original Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham died. His son Jason was the drummer for this performance. Led Zeppelin stopped performing as a group after John Bonham died. Thanks for doing my request (in your Bohemian Rhapsody vid) to do the original and then this performance. 😊.
This song is… and this is tough for me to admit… right in line with Bohemian Rhapsody as one of the best songs ever written. I was 5 years old when I found this vinyl in my parents collection. SOMETHING about the album cover (but I don’t remember what) made me think I wouldn’t be allowed to listen to it. So, mischievous me snuck into the music room one evening and listened to the whole album with headphones. I was enthralled by Stairway and would sneak back in night after night to listen to it again and again. One night, my mama caught me. I thought I was in serious trouble but she said: “take out the headphones so I can hear, too. And TURN IT UP”. Hahaha. Love you, Mama. It’s damn tough to follow Zeppelin but I’d love it if you would react to a song with a similar title. Check out Temple of the Dog (a combination of members from SoundGarden and Pearl Jam)… Chris Cornell has some of the best pipes in the business. Song title: Say Hello to Heaven. Hope you like it. ☮️
Heart used to do a cover of Led Zeppelin's Been A Long Time as their encore. Nancy nailed the guitar licks every time! you should check out some of their deep rabbit hole.
I was at The live concert in 1977. My girlfriend Sylvia Didn't talk to me for 3 days because I went and took off to the concert with my friends without telling her😅😅
John Bonham "Bonzo" drummer for Led Zeppelin passed away from an accidental alcohol overdose. It was so sad. Jason Bonham on drums is John's son. Bonzo was Robert Plants very best friend. I wore black clothes for thee weeks after he died...💔
Love this version of the song have seen it so many times and it never gets old. Definitely check out some Heart songs, I saw someone said Barracuda that's a great one. Also, some more 70s songs is Magic Man, Crazy On You, and Stright On. They had a few 80s hits too like Alone, Never, and These Dreams.
Ann is 62 here just magnificent vocals. You make Robert Plant cry you did something right. Best cover ever. You need to go down the Heart rabbit hole well worth it. Crazy on you, Magic Man, Barracuda to name a few. Due to Robert Plant's high voice some of Zeppelins songs are better for women to sing.
Do a Reaction to Journey with Lead Singer Steve Perry Live in Houston 1981 they sound even better live " Don't Stop Bielevin " " Who's Crying Now " " Girl Can't help It " " Mother Father " " Faithfully " " Open Arms " " I'll Be Alright Without You " " Separate Way's " " Only the Young " " Lights " " Stone In Love " " When You Love A Women " Steve Perry is none as the " Voice " he is one of the Best if not the Best Singers in Rock History. Steve has his own Music " O' Sherrie " Went No. 2 " Foolish Heart " Reached No. 15.
Argh. Another react video of this tremendous performance and no one points out that an entire verse plus more is missing from this video. A lot of the copies floating around of the original video were for some reason that I can't fathom, shortened. It's worth it to listen to the version that truly is the "FULL" version: ua-cam.com/video/2cZ_EFAmj08/v-deo.html.
This was one for the books family! Giving the legends their roses while they still here 💯. What’s next yall? ..Let’s go🫡

Aretha Franklin's is awesome!

truth! they are a powerhouse rock duo from the 70s and 80s, on par with the male groups. a rarity at the time :)
If I remember correctly, Ann Wilson was 62 years old at the time. She’s incredible
Hope you check out more Heart. One of the best rock bands ever
The greatest cover performance of all time !!!!! So much talent on stage. Imagine putting this together. Genius
I love this version not only because Heart are amazing, but because it touched the band so much to hear it performed so beautifully ❤ I never thought I'd hear a cover that would do the original such justice
A legendary band giving respect to Led Zeppelin.
Great video,thank you ❤️
I'm crying, watching Robert Plant listening to this tribute.
Heart was a huge deal in the 80s. The most influential artists of the genre of rock.
He did his Dad proud! I love this performance 🖤

You definitely need to check out some heart. Crazy on you is awesome
💜💚💙❤💛
Such a shame this is the chopped version. The non-HD version is the best.
This is the edited version, probably for time. Watch the original longer version.
Ann Wilson has a soft voice. Ha ha.
Watch the whole tribute show
This is The Kennedy Award Honors, which happened every year until Trump.
I wish they would delete this edited version.
You should find zeplins version. Love heart but she's no jimmi
I don't even like Heart and that kicked ass.
U have to go back to the real singer. Get the song off the real LED ZEPPELIN
Don’t be lazy do some homework at least have a general idea who HEART IS Hopefully you know who Led Zeppelin is
Another reactor with the GD short edited version. 🙄
