Hold on a moment. John Bush was the lead singer for armored saint. After Joey belladonna left anthrax John Bush stepped in and did a couple albums with Anthrax. So originally John Bush was the lead singer for Armored Saint for at least five albums. Armored Saint is 🔥 🔥🔥🔥. What’s ironic is that I saw Armored Saint, Metallica, and Y&T at the memorial auditorium in 1983 in Sacramento. Metallica was touring on the “ride the lightning” tour
Just a side note about John Bush, he is not the lead vocalist of Anthrax that most people know as the lead vocalist. Sure he was the vocalist from 1992 to 2005 for 4 albums, but most people know Joey Belladonna as the vocalist as he was the original vocalist once they started recording albums in 1984, left in 1992, but then came back in 2005 and is still with them.
I think they did some song with 3 bassists at the 30th show with Ron and Jason joining in as well. The 30th shows were a treasure troves of greatness with the band just rocking out and doing shit... They had like a huuuge guest list of people who they came across along the way joining in on the extended weekend. And James was not supposed to be the singer, he did it because they had no one else to do it when it was time to put some songs on a record and the rest is history... And James has come a long way from the initial songs, where he is basically just shouting to actually singing later on. Basically the switch up happened after he threw out his voice when they were doing the black album.
@@metalmellie4371 Ron McGovney... The original bass player for Metallica. You know, the one before Cliff Burton joined the band. He did play on some of the early demos they did, but never on a full Metallica album. I think he didn't want to dive deep into the rock-'n'-roll lifestyle the band was headed to... So they were left needing a bass player. Cliff was with another band before joining Metallica. James and Lars saw him on stage and decided that Cliff would be their bass player. Metallica did look for a singer when they were forming up and James kind of fell into the role with no one else to do it... What a legend we would have lost, if they had fielded a singer other than James. James has put so much of himself into the songs and especially the lyrics that we may not have Metallica today, if they had found a leading vocalist... James' singing on their early albums was more like shouting and screaming than singing... He did eventually throw out his voice during the recording of the black album and he had to learn to take care of his voice and actually learn to sing properly. James was afraid that he couldn't do the Metallica stuff correctly after that, but he picked up some warm-up exercises etc. To help his voice survive those 2-3 hour shows... And after he actually started to sing, he has been sounding really good. The Metallica story is a very interesting tale, they have been open and forthcoming to their fans about what is going on with them and this is why we know so much. And it is another reason why the true fans of Metallica will run to the grave with them, it is why we love them so much. They are human, they don't want to be metal gods, even though they are. They love their music, they love their fans and in many respects they are still surprised that people actually love them back... We have grown up together and they keep us fans going as we keep them going.
On the First Album kill em all the Four horseman Version with dave mustaine original line up in the Band absolutley insane of the guitar Solo by dave fucking mustaine holy shit man! !!
For my taste it is a selection of the wrong theme, there is nothing like the studio version or the orion festival version. on the 33rd anniversary of Kill em all. I do not doubt that he is a great singer Jhos but as I said it was a bad choice.
I love that they had that first guitar solo every other time that first guitar solo is not in the song when they play it live
I absolute love when artists collaborate with passion or sharing the stage with unity

Epica, Sancta Terra, Simone, with her friend Floor (both expecting)

I didn't see anyone else comment on this but John Bush was also the lead singer of Armored Saint an excellent band throughout the 80's
Metallica toured with Armored Saint. 🤘
The big four 'Am i evil' if you want a colab! - Metallica, Anthrax, Medadeth and Pantera all on stage

John Bush was the 'voice' of Burger King and did all their ads for a few years. And apparently it made him quite a wealthy man.

Actually Neil Turbin was the original vocalist for Anthrax on the Fistful of Metal album. John Bush was original vocalist for Armored Saint.
Suzie just smiled through the whole song! She enjoyed the shit out this song! It is a great song
This was awesome but you gotta admit Metallica wouldn't be Metallica without the vocals of James Hetfield!!!!
Trys this song but live in San Diego 1992
Pretty cool version of this classic.
Check out One from the their 30th. Anniversary with special guest Apocalyptica.

I wish Anthrax went back to Bush never cared for Joey
Me too. But Joey has killed it in Anthrax since 'Worship Music'.
Sorry man, I dont agree at all.
Those riff are what trash is all about... Holly damm Mustaine (actually wrote them) was a monster!
Good thing he didn’t join Metallica. No offense but….other than a novelty special guest? Nope 🤣🤣🤣
