Both sinks are exactly what I need! I will be converting a stepvan into a wheel- chair accessible camper.
These sinks will allow the wheel-chair user to change the water containers independently. Definitely, a confidence booster.

I wish someone would take this concept and make a shower pan for a van. It would have to be way sturdier and deeper, but if it were portable, you could just empty your shower water at a convenient place--in the woods or in a restroom.

When you said "something more complicated" I almost stopped the video. Your first sink was already simple and genius, extra attachments not withstanding. But I'm SO glad I kept watching! The oil pan solution is EXACTLY what I need for my situation. THANK YOU!! (and yeah, I shoulda read the description first...lol...I'm new here and love your sense of humor!) P.S. I found that oil pan at O'Reilly for $20 and the Big Orange Box store for $14. I'm sorry to admit I went with the cheaper one, but that's a big diff for the exact same item!

That’s a cool idea, I have kind of similar to the same old set up but I have a deeper wash tub bowl and I just use enviro friendly soap and throw the water outside by the tree. Water a tree. Lots of ideas and it’s fun to come up with them.

There are constantly small tables like yours on the street. Free! Just clean and modify as needed. I try to repurpose, reuse, or recycle almost everything. I recommend you mount the fire extinguisher is an easier to access place. Mine is mounted within reaching distance behind the driver’s seat.
YES! I'm addicted to finding stuff on the street and turning into other stuff. I just wish I had more space to keep these things. My dream is to get a warehouse one of these days! Good tip about the fire extinguisher!

This man must be an engineer, it is apparent he likes complicated stuff. A regular dish pan would have been just fine.
I don't think I like complicated stuff. My first sink was a regular dishpan but I cut a hole in the bottom and attached a drain. But then I added Wi-Fi so the sink could wirelessly connect to the hotspot in my car so I could turn it on and off with my phone. But that was before I programmed the sink with artificial intelligence so it would know when to turn itself on and off. But then the sink became self aware and hacked into a U.S. military computer. I tried to pull the plug but it didn't end well. OK, maybe you're right. Some things should just be kept simple.
Nooo.....then what do you do with the water? It's gonna slosh all over while you haul it outside to dump it. The oil pan is freaking genius.

Right now I'm sweating it out because I'm moving to Oregon in November with my son, and still trying to find handy helpers for my build. But, depending on geography, that would be pretty cool! 😊👍
I watched this video at least five times I bought the parts you suggested the very first time I watched it but I never actually figured out a way to put it together in my van but I finally did figure it out I bought these collapsible totes with a removable wooden lids and I plan on setting the sink up on those as a platform... You still have the sink that cannot be beat and the van that cannot be competed with and a sense of humor that cannot be compared!!!💯

Lol! Feel free to get creative with it so it fits your needs. Use a 5 gallon jug if you have the space. Also, the faucet doesn't have to be attached to the jug. You could hide the jug in a cabinet and run the water line through the counter top or whatever. Have fun!

Cool set-up! I thought of building a sink but opted for a variety of wet wipes. Boom. Takes no space and frees up room for other stuff in the minivan. 😉

If you're gonna go with the oil pan idea, try Menards or any auto parts store. It's way cheaper than Amazon. I only put the link there so you can get more info on it. Don't pay more than 15 bucks!

Got my sink parts ordered last night. Using wide milk crates as the casing, and a collapsing dish basin with a drain. Mostly for drinking water for cats and humans, but maybe washing hands and fruit.

thank, you for you're video on you're sink set up. I'll be doing the samething soon in both of my vans. I've got a 97, Dodge ram 2500 conversion high top van. and I got a 93, chevy ASTRO van. I've got 2 old camper trailer that I'm going to take both of the sink builds out of both parts campers and installing them inside both van. but I've got to buy the water tanks and the gray water tanks.

I have a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica i am building out. I love the sink idea.......and the electrical strip can have a cover box to prevent water getting on it. I would love to know how your doing your power.

My electrical is quite basic. The toaster, TV and laptop run off the Jackery. The fridge runs off the car battery and this works for two or three days depending on the weather.

U can also set a collapsible silicone sink inside the drain pan for dishwashing and then pour it in the pan when done

It should be better accessible.

You're probably right. I guess since I've never needed a fire extinguisher, it's hard for me to take it seriously. I felt like I was doing good just having one. Hopefully I'll never need it either way. But thanks for the tip!😀
