Great Lakes Orthodontics now sells actual clear acrylic, that you don’t have to add blue to. ps. Soak the model in hot water, dry then apply a Liquid foil separator, no more clouds.😀
🇨🇦RDT ,retired. Your info is very educational and fun to watch . Your bite plane technique is also stress relieving , so that no techs need to commit suicide but keep on binge watching your vid . Cheerio.
Sometimes I get little spots of stubborn plaster stuck to the palatal side of the acrylic.... what's the best way to get plaster out of the grooves completely?
Unfortunatelly it's a 5 minut solution... It's just an illusion for client/patient. After the first day in patient's mouth it's going to get matt again... :( I used to do that too, but it's worthless. :(
Loved this tip!!!! Thank you.
Great Tip! It is the little things we can do that make a big difference
Thanks Joseph
Amazing! Something so simple makes such a difference, will have to try tomorrow, special thanks to your Dad
Please post your results when you try this!

After adding oil blow excess off with air gun then wipe with cotton towel. You don’t want any excess oil that the doctor can see or feel.
Absolutely
You can use liquid vaseline too
Applying two or three coats of a good separator to the plaster prior to acrylic lay-up should alleviate this problem.
Just curious have you ever tried mineral oil regardless if the appliances is cloudy or perfect?
Love the humor. Lol.
I remember in one of your lab videos you had a couple of bottles on top of your cabinet. Old School!
