I was in Varenna & Bellagio in 2002 and that trip remains to be my favorite trip of all-time. My friends, family and guests of my cousin's wedding stayed in Villa Cipressi. The wedding was held on the grounds of the villa as well. What a magical time that was.
This vlog bought back so many memories for me! I was just in Lake Como in May and we stayed in Griante/Cadennabia right across the lake from Bellagio. Loved it there and for sure Varenna was our favorite over Bellagio! ❤
I have never been to Italy, I have wanted to and watching your videos are making me want to go even more. Thank you for taking us along with you. It seems so peaceful and relaxing. Italy has so many beautiful views. Oh I’m in love!
I Just went to Milan and from there I went to Lake Como, I stayed in Tremezzo, visited Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio, Venice and Lugano!! I had the most wonderful time! The culture: people, language, food... is wonderful, transportation is really easy to go from one place to another. I really suggest Lake Como is so Beautiful!!
Beautiful photography and you both look relaxed and happy! I hadn’t realized these towns were so easily accessible by train, so next trip, I’ll add this to my itinerary! Thank you for taking us along!
I love how you two wander the less crowded streets of each town!! Varenna looks so beautiful!!! We are going to Florence and Rome in October for the first time!! We love to walk around and just explore little quaint shops and restaurants!!!
Jessi,I know your channel isn’t about beauty, but I’d highly appreciate it if you could include in one of your future videos a hair/makeup tutorial.Your hair is so long and was wondering how exactly you curl it.And your natural makeup is amazing too.
Watching this video, now I'm longing to go back to Italy. In the meantime, I'm learning how to speak Italian. Thanks for all your videos. You guys are awesome!
Thanks for the preference. I am born in Varenna although I have lived abroad for many years. You just passed in front of my house. The gardens were in fact those of Villa Monastero.
I have been visiting lake como every year in middle october for almost 10 years now. Its worth everything. Of course for us who are from Switzerland, visiting como is near and also affordable.
Lake Como, Lake Garda, Lake Iseo, Lake Maggiore, etc., etc. These lakes, and I love lakes, are with the surroundings the most beautiful natural places I have ever seen. Lake Como draws close to 2 million visitors a year. I personally think it's more, but that's the 'official'. Lake Garda draws an astounding 25+ Million visitors a year. 'Visitor' in this case doesn't just mean you went there, but stayed overnight at least one day. Of course most stay much longer. That's 25 million tourists at just 'one lake' in Italy every year, and it's increasing. That's really Amazing. I totally get why.
Hello 😊 Love Como town itself, Bellagio was very touristy but had great panini! Cernobbio has a really lovely food market once a week! But not a lot to do there... peaceful. Thank you for lovely memories 😊
We stayed in varenna 7 years ago, loved it. Ate at Albergo Ristorante del Sole twice-the pesto pasta was amazing! Bellano was a cute town we explored a bit as well. We also took the ferry to Bellagio and Menaggio..nice shops in Menaggio too.
Oh my! I was in Varenna and Bellagio in 1994. I loved it so much, but it was much quieter back then. I really need to get back! And yes, Varenna has my heart.
Beautiful! My wife, Debra, and I lived in Torino ( Crochetta) and on Lago Maggiore, in Belgirate (near Stresa) for 5 years. We are in love with the area and the views are absolutely astounding. We wish you two all the best in your journey and your life. Boca al Lupo!!
Lake Como is absolutely beautiful. I only went to Como town (my favorite) & Bellagio, but when I go again one day I would love to visit Varenna, Menaggio & Cenobio. Wherever you go in Lake come, you won't be disappointed - it's sooooo pretty! ENJOY 💕💕
I loved Lake Como! It’s my favorite place in Italy so far taking in consideration I have only been to Milano, Lake Como, Bellagio, and Palermo. We spent 10 days staying in a hotel on the waterfront in Cadenabbia , then used boat and train services to visit the different villages up and down Lake Como. Of the two towns Vareena and Bellagio, we much preferred the town of Vareena to Bellagio . . . too many tourists, even though we too were tourists. We liked to try and find more out of the way towns, gardens, monasteries etc, to visit and spend our Euros.
Ragazzi dovete andare a Cavaturacciolo, a Bellagio… i migliori vini! Tante belle cose a entrambi!
I love that Italy and Greece and all their coastal towns embrace the pastel painted homes. So calming. 😊 *Is that a volcano across the water about halfway thru your walk?? It looks like it might be!! Seen very clearly at 8:29 into the video..
You wanna grow vines in Nashville? We are in central Texas and the vines that grow like crazy around here are called Morning Glory. We did not plant them and we have them all over our backyard and fence …
My Nonno was from that area, Castiglione di Vall'Intelvi, in the hills above the lake, so I've been there and to Como, but never did the trip around the shore. I'll add to my bucket list. Great videos you are posting, thank you !
Great video! I’ve visited lake Como in 2022. We stayed in Como and did trips to Brunate, Bellagio and Varenna. My favorite was definitely Verenna. Would love to visit it again, such a charming and picturesque place ⚓️🧜🏻♀️✨💙
Thank you for posting this lovely video 👏🏻 You are one of my favorite couples on Facebook 🥰 Lake Como is truly a gorgeous area in Italy and I am glad that you had a great visit there 🤩🎶 Hope you are both doing well following your sad video🙏💚💚 Safe travels 🧳🌼🌸👍
We stayed in Bellagio three streets over from the famous view. It was def more touristy and the restaurants could be a challenge without a reservation. We did not have car and it would have been helpful (we found a great restaurant a town over and no cab service to get there) It was beautiful in the early morning to walk around before ferries came in but I would stay somewhere else next time. Probably in the main town of Lake Como, Varenna, Argegno, Lenno, or Tremezzo next time. Food prices were much less in Argegno and Lenno.
I travelled to Italy frequently about 15 years ago. Out office was just across the border in Switzerland and I stayed in Como for most visits. I founds few people in the small restaurants spoke English. Eating dinner on my own was often a challenge as to what i'd get.
I love Lake Como, I stayed 5 days there in Menaggio in an Airbnb in May last year, right where the original castle once stood. I enjoyed every moment of my time there. I'd love to go back one day. I found Bellagio a tad overrated though (and sooo expensive), the other towns were amazing.
I just came back and although I loved everything, I mean the towns and the nature sooooo much, I was really disappointed how tourist hyped it was. No local food and everything overpriced due to east European and American tourist, who think that this is the real Italy, while they are all getting conned due to their own lack of education on the culture
@@jessienejdi5159 I've generally found to keep away from the tourist traps and head into the laneways for authentic restaurants. I found some amazing places (with authentic Italian food) this way.
Nice video! We visited Lake Como from Milan… easy by train. We liked Varenna and chose charming Menaggio to visit (much less crowded than the ferry to Bellagio)!❤👌🏽
Lake Como is deff worth the hype. I went last year for my cousin’s wedding at Villa Cipressi and then I got engaged at Villa Monastero. It is drop dead gorgeous there, especially in the summer.
I love watching your videos, all of them. As husband and wife, you demonstrate enormous love and respect for each other which is wonderful to witness! God Bless you both!
I think our paths have almost passed recently! My American family of four from New Jersey, stayed in Varenna from July 10 - 13th. We ate at the same restaurant in Varenna! We also visited Bellagio a few times. I really wish we would have bumped into you; I would have been so excited to meet you both! Your situation sounds a lot more complicated than mine. But my doctor always said sometimes the Simple Things can fix a difficult situation. I really wish you two the Best of Luck! Keep making you Food Videos! I love them!
🫣🫠Sorry again for interrupting your filming!!! Wish we had learned of all these great insights before we went! It was great to meet you both & still praying for blessings!!
Of course I prefer Varenna, I had the privilege of having met a friend who owned an art gallery on the lake shore who hosted me in her family home, an old fisherman's house that had direct access to the lake despite being in the heart of the town. Unfortunately a lot of time has passed and now everything will be more tourist-friendly, but I see that the magic has not passed.
Born and raised there: Varenna > Bellagio Lecco > Como If you want to visit Lake Como, book a hotel/B&B on the eastern branch (Varenna and Lecco - where Jessi and Alessio stayed): it’s cheaper, less crowded/touristy and it’s easy to roam around.
By the way I’m born and raised in Toronto and my family is from Lucca Tuscany. Beautiful city!!!!
I'm from lake Como, but on the other "branch" of the lake. Please do not come, overtourism is destroying us 😔 Narrow roads with people who are not used to it and stop every time a car comes from the other direction make traffic even more horrendous than it would be due to tourists. You literally can't go anywhere without crowds anymore, public buses and public boats for example are so full it's hard to use them for commuting. No matter what time it is noise is a constant, and unfortunately because of how the mountains surround the lake it's like a natural amphitheater: you can hear people talking on the lake shore as if they were next to you in your house. Someone need to regulate this mess... I was born and raised here, I'm currently visiting my parents but I couldn't even afford to live near them now. When I was a kid no one knew where it was, now you'd need a mortgage even to buy a garage 🤦🏻♀️
I was there 2 years back and you’re right, it’s beautiful but way too hot in August and over crowded. My wife was pregnant and we could’nt get a taxi 😬 The restaurants are a bit of a rip off
I Remember spending every Summer and winter in Esino Lario (above Varenna) for 20 years. It Is Just Crazy to see all these tourists. The Government has to regulate tourism. All this hype is just disgusting
Only tourists or also Locals from the other side of the border? Its cheap for them to shop and to eat in como. And I think a lot of locals like beeing a frontaliere in Chiasso or somewhere else on the other side of the border. The issues of your parents are the downside of living so close to a wealthy country.
I went to Lake Como in 2006 and 2018 and I still think of it often. Hoping to visit again in 2025. Missing Europe, from New Zealand 🇳🇿

If you want to visit Lake Como, book a hotel/B&B on the eastern branch (Varenna and Lecco - where Jessi and Alessio stayed): it’s cheaper, less crowded/touristy and it’s easy to roam around.
@@eisentzgruppe yes please, take some crowds and traffic away from our side of the lake 😅
@@silmuffin86 my friends in Como are exhausted 🫠
Are u a mobster
Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. It brought me to tears seeing how beautiful the views were.
By the way I’m born and raised in Toronto and my family is from Lucca Tuscany. Beautiful city!!!!
Wow! Thanks for sharing this with us ❤
Thanks for watching!
Oh wow beautiful!!!
But Daddy, I want an Umpa Lumpa! 😂😂😂. I love your videos!!!
My wife was pregnant and we could’nt get a taxi 😬
The restaurants are a bit of a rip off
I Remember spending every Summer and winter in Esino Lario (above Varenna) for 20 years. It Is Just Crazy to see all these tourists. The Government has to regulate tourism. All this hype is just disgusting
@@Ariom76dimentichi che senza turismo nn ci sarebbero bar, ristoranti, hotel .... Gli americani spendono
Only tourists or also Locals from the other side of the border? Its cheap for them to shop and to eat in como. And I think a lot of locals like beeing a frontaliere in Chiasso or somewhere else on the other side of the border. The issues of your parents are the downside of living so close to a wealthy country.
How much time would I need to spend there to enjoy the entire lake and towns? Beautiful video. Thank you 🙏
Jessi…where did you get that beautiful blue and white dress? Can you please link it❤
Yes. I didn’t watch the video but knew the answer. But stay in Varenna. Then you have a view of the Alps across the Lake. Ciao
I am living near menaggio, you should see this city too.

Beautiful! Isnt the Villla Cipressi view point accessible then? Or is it closed only during peak season?
I love your dress Jessi
Minus the villages, Lake Chelan in Washington is more pretty and dramatic.
