Gacharic Spin are in a league of their own. Fantastic musicians and performers!!
The female musicians of Gacharic Spin (Rock), Band Maid (Hard Rock) and Lovebites (Heavy Metal) have a live playing ability that I've been missing from western bands (regardless of male or female) for a long time. Just fantastic musicians. Another increase is hard to imagine. Excellent education in Japan, great talent, creativity, perseverance and absolute diligence are the reasons for this.🤘🐺🤘
What a wonderful choice from Home Gnome! It's really crazy how much energy these ladies have, their concerts are normally at least 2 hours long and often go to 3 hours and they are completely switched on the whole time. That said they do often take the time to do two or three acoustic songs in a concert to give people a chance to chill out (their acoustic performances and close harmony singing are stunningly gorgeous as well).
One of the most impressive musical feats I ever saw was when I saw them perform 2 concerts in a single day, first a 2 hour concert as their metal side-project band DOLL$BOXX, then a few hours later a 3 hour concert as Gacharic Spin. Even after 5 hours of performance in a single day at the intensity you see in the clip you re-acted too here they were still going just as hard and still playing just as well at the end of that second concert as they were when at the opening of the first! Both concerts they played that day were recorded for DVD's as well.
Before COVID they also had one of the busiest touring schedules of a band in Japan, often playing over 200 shows a year for a decade straight. Even during COVID they played as many shows as they could even with the requirements on half capacity venues and no cheering or anything except for applause allowed from the audience. They had just started up a new tour at the beginning of this year as well but unfortunately their bassist had some issues with her ears that required rest and recovery away from loud sounds for a while, but they are just starting up again now after a few months delay.

Fun to watch you clearly enjoying the performance. Great job. I'll take any excuse to watch "Tamashii" again. Too many times to even estimate and it still hasn't gotten old. BTW: You should see the video in which they place this song with toy instruments!
In addition to everything else you said, these women are famous for having a bottomless reserve of energy. In 2018, the year before they added the pink-haired singer and the tiny black-haired drummer, these gals dressed up in black and joined metal singer Fuki for an afternoon concert of Doll$Boxx mayhem. Then they took a couple hours off and came back for an evening concert as Gacharic Spin. Both shows had a full 20+ song setlist, and both were recorded for Blu-Ray. As energy I don’t think you can get much more even with i wish I.
Back in the day, 10,11 years ago the girls used to play certain small venue that may have held 200 Asian built standing fans. Oreo provided most of the high lites with pushing the dress code, standing on or just humping her synths and of course mounting various pool toys and being passed around by the audience. They also did a couple of colabs with the mask girls…no doubt drawn together by their colorful outfits.
Angie is always so emotionally intense that I often find myself wondering if she’s alright!🫣💪🏻🤘🏻
Hi Sabina! To blow your mind a little more, this was the 12th song from a set list of 25!! This performance is from their 10th year anniversary concert in 2019 - Angie the pink-haired singer was only 17 and had been with the band for less than a year. They do often have some slower songs and semi-acoustic sections in the concerts too though.

Bloody hell, I wasn’t expecting that…I was hearing similarities and influences to Iron Maiden, Rush, Foo Fighters. All this from one powerhouse group of very talented musicians. I can imagine them going down a storm at a music festival like Donnington in the U.K., or Wacken in Germany. Full of controlled energy without degenerating into a mish mash of noise. I loved it.
They're known for chucking in the occasional Jazz section into their songs. They defy categories and pigeonholes.

@@ChrisPage68 ..That makes them quite unique. Correct me if I’m wrong but good female rock bands, genre specific, are few and far between. The U.K. produced Girls School…ugh. I recall the US had The Runaways. That said, some metal/symphonic metal bands have the crème de la crème of female vocalists.

This is actually pretty tame for the girls. If you go further back in their live shows you will see utter madness on stage. Oh...they also have another version of this song where they play it live with toy instruments. Great fun to watch.
Sabina, I've missed you. Here's the line up as far as I can give it: Drums (and more) Hanna; Keyboards and Vocals: Oreo Reona; Guitar: Tomo-Zo; Bass: F-Chopper Koga; Front woman (Hot Pink hair) I think her name is (Angelina) Angie, they had another young lady with them that went by Arrmy (Ahhmi?) but the information I have to this point is that she suffered from an unknown illness and passed but that was supposed to have been in 2015. And there are three new add-ons Yuri (2nd Drummer) and two young ladies that dance and I think they sing sometimes too. All in all, these girls are nutz but CRAZY talented. Energy Personified! If you're looking for some other female rock from Japan, I would strongly recommend you check out Band-Maid. All female band, high energy, and extremely talented. I would check out Domination (live) or Freedom (live)

Ok. I agree the energy and excitement is thru-the-roof. I enjoyed the production and lights. The melody was appealing. The only thing not 100% were the high loud vocals, in my opinion.
Sabina’s seeing these women live was infectiously in her talking about the group. She always has excellent reactions based on the supporters desire to hear her react to their favorite groups or songs. Well done, Sabina.

About their energy level - Hana (drums/vocals) is a marathon runner (and she's not the only one in the band). Japanese musicians usually have a rather healthy way of life.
