I love that dump truck
Surprised you didn't do a Premiere for this video. Was it because it's a part 2?
Greate vid man keep it up
Put black pepper in the radiator it will temporarily fix the leak
And o’Reillys Auto parts got free advertising lol
Hey Kevin thanks for shoutout Carbs Unlimited is my family’s business. Glad we were able to help.
I order all my carb parts for my 66 scout from carbs unlimited
Thats awesome to see you guys watch the channel!
I’ve placed quiet a few orders myself from carbs unlimited it’s nice to meet you.
For a second I thought the little girl was letting us know Kevin's been hiding a pony tail from us this whole time. 😂😂😂😂😭😂😂😂😂
It’s a secret he hoped to take to the grave
Thank god Mook finally found an open daycare for Kevin. You can hear how much fun he's having with the other kids already. 😁
LMAO!
I love Internationals like this. Reminds me of my first school bus when I was a kid. Also, our driver probably wished he had the dump feature.
Oh my god, I fucking lost it when you said "Help me Jesus", and then the camera rolled back. That was amazing.
Yeah lol, he goes "help me Jesus" and psyches himself up before slamming the shifter into gear like a total chad, just gets divine boss mode and manages to wrangle the gearbox XD
Ive rewinded it twice and then went to the comments to find a comment about that
You'll be a good dad judging how you speak to the little girl..
as iv always said if you want to see a guys true ways get a dog or kid around him
@@jonsworld5307 Certain person in Germany 1939- 45 that was a dog lover, and certain persons are extremely good with kids you wouldn't let a kid anywhere near them.
@@zaftra Couldn't resist and had to put a Hitler reference in there, huh?
@@giggiddy A very accurate one - huh?
Was it a girl or a boy? To me it sounded like a little boy.
Love how the kid calls you almost bald🤣
Why aren't you sponsored by O'Reilly's?! You certainly give them enough air time!
You’re a natural ad man 👨 Seriously, impressively natural delivery. Who knew? Can Mook act. You two could take your act on the road!👏🏾
The term you're looking for, the opposite of Cab Over Engine, is Conventional. That's probably buried in one of your back files under the title of 'Information that doesn't actually matter unless I'm looking for certain parts'.
We've all got one of those in our heads lol
It depends on the contest, of course, in europe it would be conventional and with nose or "american".
We love the new assistant: Junkyard Mookette.
"Because you're almost bald!"
"Hahahaha....."
tapers off into a sob
Local man killed by little girl. More at 11.
I used to drive one of those Loadstars back in the late 60's. LOVED that truck and they still remain my favorite.
I remember seeing these with a slick dual exhaust right out the grilles. Lots of grains grown out here.
That was the most adorable helper you've ever had!
Kinda sassy and a potty mouth but a good helper.
Hey, and she's brutally honest!
Probably taller than MOOK😆😆😆😆😆😆
I'm not a regular around here, but I am obsessed with the potential of what grain trucks can be for project vehicles! Very cool. Looks like I need to go catch the other
I've been watching your videos for a while now and I am totally amazed at how you can get these motors running where they sit with just a spanner and a screwdriver and a shit load of optimism is just awesome, I'm glad to be a subscriber and look forward to seeing more from your channel. Best wishes to you from Scotland :)
Ya got your hand on the opposite petals when talking about the brake & clutch systems. Hint: (Brake is closest to the gas pedal) 👍
Yeah, I noticed that, too. He was probably thinking about his cute girlfriend Mook at the time, and it distracted him :) :P :D
I just heard of an old IH truck like this getting shredded, so it's very refreshing to see one being brought back to life.
Great video! I loved when the kid showed up and wanted to help you. You may have inspired that kid to be a mechanic. You do amazing work with these old engines. Great work!
You have to love the words from a child. So inquisitively innocent.
I purchased my 67 grain when I was scrapping. Didn't have the parking brake on the floor, but drove great ( you get used to the steering real quick trying to maneuver around city streets). 1000 bucks is a great price, and a wonderful running truck
"Help me, Jesus!" Camera goes flying! That brought a smile to my face!
This is a very similar truck to what my grandpa drove on his farm. I would love to buy it but ya know, I'm broke and live more then a thousand miles from you. I hope they go to a good home.
Same here he had a 55 Chevy and a 56 Ford. Vaguely remember it because I couldn't have been more than 9 or 10 last time I saw it
Looks like the muffler is almost rotted in half (well, 1/4 and 3/4) but it still does a decent job!
Runs pretty dang nice! Good investment at 1K, for somebody with a love of old rigs and need of a dump-truck.
I have that same truck (almost) 1955 GMC 350 with a Hydramatic that was parked 30 years. Got it running in a few hours.
When is there going to be an update on it randy??
@@georgehargreaves2110 i’ll be honest with you I don’t go down to my shop very often and I totally forgot I even owned that thing but I plan to get back to work on it soon.
Don't need one here Randy,he already has one
That Gmc is nothing much like an international. Lol.
Noone cares
The old "you only need these 3 things" wisdom I guess is good for someone who knows nothing, but the exact quantities and timing are what you end up having to work
There's 3 people who tells the truth
(1) kids
(2) mad women
(3) drunk people
😂😂😂😂😂😂
You gotta love the honesty of kids!
Wow even the hydraulics for the dump bed work that is impressive Kevin nice to see a fully functional truck brakes and clutch next @Junkyard Digs
I love how ya get the brakes and clutch backwards ya MILLENIAL!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol I'm sure this man understands where the clutch and brake are
I was wondering if I was the only person that picked that up 😂😂😂
6:20 that is sooo sweet of her jeopardizing her school work to help you❤❤
That hair conversation was the perfect segway to cut to a KEEPS promo!
My cousin has 4 of these that he uses regularlly for when hes harvesting wheat, oats, corn and such. Pretty cool trucks.
A quick hydraulic clutch blead you can do from the master is fill with fluid, but a hand vacuum pump hose down with a tapered end into the hole in the bottom and pull a vacuum. When you remove the tip it will suck the fluid down into the evacuated lines and good to go. Sometimes takes twice but works. I have yet to try it on the brakes but may work on some of these old crusty systems as well.
We at one time had an old Load Star on the hay farm. It WAS Bullet Proof ! One of the BEST Trucks on the Farm.
As mentioned in the previous video. My uncle had an International CO. He also had two conventional Loadstars as will. He was a big fan of International trucks and once he took over the family farm from his brother, he began switching out the trucks. His brother got married and helped run his wife's family farm. 😊❤
The game Snowrunner has this exact truck and they call it a International Harvester 1700. Same grill and everything except the one in the game is a pick up truck. I learned something new from this and live the content and I've been subbed for a little while! ❤
Vrrrrrrrrrrrr fails to get up the snowy path ive been trying to get up for 1 hour
Wait isn’t it the load star?
Is called the same thing
@@LULU1422__ What tires did you use and was it lifted and did you put the best engine in it? I used it and did just fine with it. I love that little truck.
@@MRshiftyLV550 Yeah,it is. I goofed on the name. It's full name is International Harvester Loadstar 1700.
I've learned more about carburetors on this channel than anywhere else. Thanks!
Love these trucks so much, going to have to do a revival on my own one soon, With the added complication of it being in the USA while I'm not.....
Loved the dirtdobber kick! Good job reviving that old dump truck! I can’t believe it was running off the tank gas.
On the next episode Kevin finds a dwell meter and learns how to use it! That truck is exactly like the '69 model I had but mine had air brakes and still had it's 4 barrel, a Carter AFB if I remember correctly.
I loved when he just casually exlaims "it's a 1964!" while fondling with the points. It's almost as if he is in a cartoon or something
You never fail to impress me with these revivals! What a cool looking truck 😀
Despite this being a '64, I see so many similarities to my 1950 international. For example, that master cylinder is almost identical other than the mounting flange.
That's actually a million mile odometer and she's already over16k. Still quite low miles. We had a 1966 Loadstar 1600 on our wheat farm. I loved driving that thing! Wish I lived closer and had the cash. I'd buy that baby.
That engine runs really well very nice to see this old truck running nice work Kevin @Junkyard Digs
❤️ these videos! Anyone have an old truck in East Tennessee let this poor bastard know!
well Kevin, you do a amazing job getting these vehicles to run. you know your stuff for sure. thanks for posting. wheres mook
Love the old school oil cap, for the distributor bushings! That should be the small cap Gm-points, previous to the big Honkin cap HEI. BTW them old 4 pin actual HEI module, are small and cheap, and can be wired to late 70 Ford Duraspark. Heatsink the module, hide it if need be. And it lights off almost as good as MSD. Providing you have good wiring, wires, cap, rotor and plugs. Used the GM module with a Ford TFI coil for years on Propane, and LPG is tougher to light off. All 12V-no resistor needed.
I remember my neighbor driving a load star like this in the 90s hauling fuel. His company finally forced him to scrap it lol it was rough
Great Coverage On The Old ‘64 International Loadstar Dump Truck, Very Educational.. Keep Up The Amazing Work!!
Man, lot of memories working with my dad farming.
Kevin, as you already know the points do a ground to the distributor base and sometimes it gets really dirty and whatnot so you take them out and clean where they bolt down. First words in electrical repair is grounds grounds grounds. Something like steel wool to shine both the distributor and points so when they are in, they make a good contact and ground to the distributor. I had a really hard one and used my jumper cables to grab the base of the distributor and back to the ground on the battery as it can't get more grounded than that. It fired right up and when you removed the jumpers it would either die or run so bad it wanted to. You have to have good grounds on points, condenser, and the distributor itself. All the oils and dirty corrosion keep it from running.
Its a lot more professional if you just yard them out and get the system to ground well and get a good spark right away.... Kevin, I apologize, I have OCD really bad and just want so bad to help you look your best. I don't know why but the international which like all AMC stuff was peoples parts an pieces cause they were on the chopping block and had to say where and how ever they could. Their grounding system was a f... joke and I would just tap a ground wire right to the side of their distribitors and to a good ground and make sure it was always doing its job. Come spring when we needed those rigs, we through fuel down their throat, and check the grounds good. Once happy they would spin over a max of three turns and be running strong.
Kevin and Mook are natural ad persons. Very believable!!!
So they're natural bullshiters?
The thing sounds pretty good! Def a good restore project! Nice work man!
Leave it to the younglings to tell us the truth about life
Wow, this brings back memories. Spent many miles and hours in one of those back in the 70's. Fun to drive, well not so much through Los Angeles.....
Oh man, does anyone else love the sound of this starter when it is cranking? It’s great!
Grind ‘em til you find ‘em! Thanks Kevin! Fun way to start the day!
Live for these videos! Inspired me to get my first project car with zero weight reduction so she’s hefty
Great revival buddy!
I would definitely buy that truck if I lived in Iowa! LOL
Thanx Kevin! :D
Damn that sure is a lot of cool truck for a grand. That baby is ready to haul some onions.
I bought a 67 1800 today! Awesome series. Love from Lincoln County tn!
I still think that cab over would make an interesting motorhome project.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
I just found my left ear bud I was missing for a week so happy to have you junkyard diggs
Enjoyed the video Kevin ,and your little helper had you figured out 😂😂😂
Loving these old truck revivals! That truck was even older than me!👍 😉
*Kevin* "Hmm I've seen this movie before!"🤦♂️🤣🤣🤘
I love the helper lol she’s hilarious
Love seeing these old trucks run and drive!
Well that went easy for you. Glad it wasn't one that gave you a lot of issues. Thanks Kevin. Have a great weekend
Mook would love a corn binder dump truck with 'Armstrong' steering!!
Damn that stunk but I enjoy every video of yours and mooks
LMAO “ help me Jesus”, (crunch) camera goes flying
That thing is so so cool!!!!! that has to be the coolest front end on a truck like that I have seen
Love watching you getting them running
Sweet videos! My dad drove one of those for years loading it with over 7 cords of firewood at time!
Nice to view, I do miss driving our Old International...... We saved one, but when loaned out, over loaded, low tire pressure, yep, turn over..... would be fun to have that old International..
Oh my gosh, Jed’s daughter is hilarious. Holy crap, and also you’re almost bald. I was actually laughing out loud to that.
"Okay, let's see if we have spark!"
*casually sets a fire on the alternator*
"Finally!"
😂😂
Love to see junk yard moo messing with them I think she wonderful
man it runs nice, it has MOOK written all over it, you should buy it and give it to her, I could see her driving it, those old grain trucks are truly a hecker's truck
I have a 1979 IH scout with a 345 and I'm pretty sure they came with one of three or four different distributors. IH used every body else's parts.
Many of them used AC Delco distributors. My Scout 80 w/ 152 had one with every other castle blanked off.
They also used Prestolite distributors. You almost had to have the line build sheet to know what parts they came with.
That little girl doesn’t pull any punches. 😂😂
been waiting for this, I just started watching this and I bet it WILL fire up, old trucks in general are just damn near impossible to kill
That looks like the "I hate manure!" truck in Back to the Future. Good job!
God dam i love this truck, thanks kevin for getting another classic going
"this thing is old!" lol! "It's a '64..." .
I resemble that remark! (I'm a '65...) ,😂🤣😂
how many mechanics, especially those who work on trucks on occasion wish they could levitate?
I would have love to see you fix the clutch and the brake systems and really get it on the road
A handsome sight to see, I love these videos, they help me relax
Those ol IH trucks just don't quit lol
Oh God when your said "Help me Jesus!" and the camera fell, that was comedy gold! Legit LOL
When you mentioned that one had a Ford distributor and the other a GM I remembered that IHC always put a line set sheet in the trucks from the factory. IHC USED different manufactured components on their trucks from Scouts to their heavy commercial highway trucks. They allowed even their competitors to bid for their business.
I’ve got a International Loadstar 1850 Detroit Diesel Firetruck. I wish my cab was as solid as that one. Chemical foam was not nice to mine.
23:09 reminded me of my Uncle's old F-150 where you had too roll it backwards too get it started 😭😭
Uncle had a small dump truck like this one . Drove the doors off that truck . Great running truck.
I love those old 13 letter shit spreader corn binders🤩🤩. Wish I was a little closer to where it is I'd bring her home
