I love the simplicity of your videos. No technical jargon, no lengthy explanation, no precise measurements, just very skillful hands bringing life to a piece of pine.
Well, thank you once again, Kevin. Typically it’s hard to follow each proportionate cut like this, but I was able to see exactly what I’m not doing and what I could be doing! Very clear and methodical. I appreciate your acknowledgement of us newbies. This video will be viewed often until what I’m doing comes automatically rather than tentatively 😀. I’m excited!
Thank you Mr. Kevin. That was amazing, I watched some of your older videos this morning, love them but this is going to be one of my new favorites. Of course until your next video. Most helpful , thanks again
I love the sound track! .... I find good videos to be very annoying when they are over amped crazy music that just makes me turn the video off and find a good one lol K thanks for the sound of wood being carved
Hey, Kevin - Have you experienced the difference carving between northern white pine and southern yellow pine, and if so, what were your observations? Thank you!
The only different pine I have carved is Jack pine which was very hard. I don’t know if it’s all like that. The other one I use is the eastern white pine which is very soft. I carve this all the time

Apparently, you prefer the eastern white Pine over Basswood - may I ask why you selected Pine above Basswood?
Thank you !

Hi, could I follow the same tutorial on a 1.5"x1.5×3?
I don’t see why not. That’s not a different in size
@@KevinCoates98 thanks!
I was just wondering, what brand is that knife you were using in the beginning of the video?
It’s an OCC knife
@@KevinCoates98 Ok, thank you. I just went to a carvers roundup and bought a couple OCC, they are really nice knives😁.
