New CV Axle Assembly from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1AAXS00194
This video shows you how to install a new CV Axle assembly in your 2008-2013 Nissan Rogue. A CV axle has flexible joints. Often, these joints wear out, or seize from contaminants due to the protective boot tearing open. A worn joint is prone to breakage, or other hazards. If your vehicle needs a new CV axle, install a quality TRQ axle that is engineered to your vehicle’s specifications.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2008 Nissan Rogue
    2009 Nissan Rogue
    2010 Nissan Rogue
    2011 Nissan Rogue
    2012 Nissan Rogue
    2013 Nissan Rogue

You don’t need to remove the ball joint just loosen the strut bolts and turn the wheel to the right and let the top bolt slide out leaving the bottom bolt loose but not out all the way and if you have to take the second one out it won’t do any thing to the strut as long as it’s lifted off the ground so no tension is there, and let the strut lean forward so at that angle the axle will slip out easy I’ve changed two of these now I’m on a third one and bearing

Removing the ball joint from the knuckle was difficult. We ended up using a crow bar, placed vertically so the curved bit goes around the knuckle to the bottom of the joint. Then used a sledge on the top of the crowbar to knock it free downward.

For the lower ball joint i used various sockets and a prybar against the cv joint to press it thru. A size 14 will fit thru the ball joint clamp.
I had to use a torch on the bearing support bracket to get it out becuase it was really stuck.
The book said to replace the trans seal so i did just to be safe.
Bearing support bracket bolt torque 18 ft lb. Ball joint clamp fastner 46. Axle nut 133-136.
It took me 2 full days. Take your time and make sure when you put the axle into the transmission that the spline is matched because if you start wacking the axle to press the bearing in and it isnt lined up and you mash the spline your transmission will have to be rebuilt

    Question
My 2008 Nissan Rogue’s dip stick has the HOT label on it, but it doesn’t have the “greater than & less than” symbol marks. It does contain the hashed area and the two notches. The Hayne’s manual states to fill the fluid between the two notches once the transmission fluid is brought to hot temperature. You’re saying to fill it to the HOT marks. Which is correct? By the way, the operator’s manual doesn’t give any guidance.
