my life spiritually is weird rn. it’s super strange because i want to be with God and praise God ive been in the word more and i’m more on fire but at the same time i’ve still been disobedient. but i don’t feel shame, and i’m not sure if i should (to be convicted) i just hope i’m not numbing my sin to a point where i can’t hear God. i’m in a season of accepting grace and believe i’m growing in love and discipline. these video is really encouraging. i love the way you speak, it’s calming and human lol. you’re very real and i appreciate that so much, it’s a breath of fresh air

Bro, literally same. Like I know what I'm doing is wrong and I ask for forgiveness, but I don't truly feel bad. Sometimes I feel like I'm taking advantage of His grace. I don't want to get to the point where I can't recognize when I'm in sin.
i’ve been in a rut for so long. But recently it just feels different like i have absolutely no idea what it is but i feel like He’s restored me. I pray when i don’t feel like it. i Listen to worship more often. I read His word when i get the chance and i feel like He’s slowly building me up after me being so low for so long. Praise be to God❤️

Thank you for this. You know it's easy to feel alone in a lot of the things we pass through. Of course we have GOD, but it's good to know you are not the only one passing through certain things.
"Knowing what I could be." I have not been able to put into words exactly how I feel when I come to repentance, but this describes it perfectly. It is such an empowering but destructive feeling. On one hand, I get excited to grow and blossom into who God calls me to be, but on the other, I get so turned off by how far behind I feel. It is so true that we must go to His word. It's almost like watching a movie and knowing the answer is right in front of the characters but they are so oblivious. My bible is right in front of me but I constantly ignore the truth waiting on those pages. I definitely need to read scripture more and I'm glad I watched this video as a reminder. Thanks Alex and amen.

Having a relationship with God is immaculate. The other day I realized how much the Lord and I relationship has grown. It has grown to the point where I would die for the lord. This channel and Off The Kirb Ministries really helped me and is still helping me to this day. Amen 🙏

This is definitely God led. Just subscribed to your channel and was watching a few of your videos when this popped up. Perfect timing. I’ve been struggling to get closer to God the last few weeks. I went from being as close to God as I’ve ever been, fasting every few days, I devoted all my time to doing things to bring glory to God, reading my bible and praying all day throughout the day, if I opened tiktok, I watched biblical videos, if I opened youtube I watched biblical videos. I feared so badly falling out the place with God because it’s happened so many times before. I was doing very good and some how without realizing it I just fell short and started drifting from that, I don’t know how it happened. I’ve been longing to get back to that spot. It just seems so hard. Even though I know how easy it really is. The way you described being in a rut is exactly how I feel. I think it needs to be talked about more in the christian community how we all fall short. I think a lot of us feel alone in falling short because we see all these other christians who seem like they have it all together, for instance, you. I would have never thought that you were going through ruts constantly if you didn’t make this video. I’ve just really felt alone in it, I feel every time I get really close to God I end up falling short and it’s just a continuous thing, I get close and fall short and then I get really close to God again and feel on top of the world and then I fall short again. I think feeling alone in it brings a lot of baggage as well and makes it even harder to get close to God. I think this video was very important to be made and I definitely appreciate it. It’s helped me a lot. Bless you brother. Keep doing what you’re doing! God is leading you to do amazing things. If this didn’t help anyone else it definitely helped me.
wow. This comment just gave me life. I was scared to make this video. I have been feeling that I want to share more about the struggle of being Christian instead of showing the bright side. I didn’t realize comfort could be an idol and for me I’ve made it that way. I look at other people and see how “happy” they are living for the world and I want that for a split second and then I pray to God to take that away. Thank you for helping me realize that. It’s hard being uncomfortable and sometimes I overthink WAYYYYY too much but I know God is there. God bless u. 🤍
Amen. I’m litterally in a rut as we speak and I thought I was the only one that felt this way. when i’m repenting, reading the word, praying, i’m functional. When i don’t have fellowship with God, I crumble. I’ve been praying psalm 16:11 daily which is helping. I think God is wanting me to fast too which is VERY uncomfortable

I started in John!! It really helped keep me intrigued and want to keep reading maybe start there or in the Gospels
start with the 4 Gospels (matthew , mark , luke , & john)
You should ask God to help you read the bible from beginning to end (not in one day ) just in a process maybe read 5 chapters or more everyday?

Sometimes I know I am hungry to be in God's presence but it feels like I can't/I don't... I feel so unmotivated like I allow laziness to overcome me but I know I have strength in Jesus to keep pushing and keep going and keep trying. Amen
How’s it going now , I’m currently battling laziness and procrastination and honestly makes me so upset as I don’t recognise myself sometimes and can seem to strike a balance when I do do things it’s either hyper focus or nothing gets done but then I end up putting God on the back burner , but yeh I’m trying to stay active and keep on the move and create a routine where I can’t be lazy and pushes me to do this good things

i’ve been in this rut as well. i used to feel so close and have so much peace and i desired him too. but now it feels like he’s not there and ik he’s there. i have to trust him. thank you for this video. it made me realize a lot and cry. this was so helpful thank you again
Amen! I definitely have been in a rut and in what it seems like an endless cycle of running to God and then running away from God and running to the World and all that it presents to me. Definitely gonna try out making the words bigger on the Bible app and I’d love to hear a solution on how to consistently pray to God everyday. Thanks Alex!

Amen, Alex! Agh this video was timely uploaded. Thank you for obedience. Thank you for being vulnerable. I too am in a rut :( . I'm currently in a cycle of being fired up for Christ, creating content, praying, studying the Word and then I fizzle out and feel unmotivated to do anything God-related due to sin (not making time for Him, not putting Him first, giving in to temptation etcetc). The obvious answer is to repent and do better but it feels so hard to do. Nonetheless "Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything." (1 John 3:20) Knowing that God is omniscient, & knows how many times we're gonna mess up yet He still loves us and gives us chances to do better each day He grants us on Earth, is comforting AND gives me some hope.

I can definitely appreciate this video. I have been in a rut for a while. I feel so lost at times, it feels like I'm just going through the motions. I have been asking God where to start as far as getting reacquainted with the word. Amen
I remember watching this video actually being in a rut. I was struggling with a panic disorder and a crippling anxiety out of my control and it felt like I was going crazy and I had lost all hope in life and in myself. I remember driving down the empty roads side by side two big fields in the country and the sun was setting, so golden hour. The piano on this video made me cry but that warm sensation felt so familiar and it was nobody else but the holy spirit. He gave me so much comfort on that drive home in the middle of that rut at its peak. I started watching your videos a lot after that day and months later I was set free of the panic disorder and all anxiety symptoms because of Jesus! Long story short it was all about habitual sin and true repentance, once I let go of old lifestyles and sin was when the lord could truly work in my life from the inside out and he did and it hurt but he put all my pieces back together and here I am. Stronger than ever and stronger in him because of him.

Really helped me out. I’m getting bad grades because of stress and my grand parents having the possibility of COVID and it’s scary to me like I’m 14 and turning 15 in a month. I’ve matured so much from being sad and stress and I’m tired of it. I’m going to try and get rid of my phone for a week and see how it goes, also start reading the word and get back on track with God. I’m tired of being in my rut. Wish me luck

I would meditate on Ephesians 4:17-24. When we're in our heads too much we inevitably lose our understanding of who God truly is; bigger than any earthly thing or problem
I have realized I am just going through the motions of reading the word and talking to God. I am definitely in a rut... and no matter how many times I pray I still am feeling defeated spiritually . I definitely came across your video by the Grace of God , so thank you.

Same here sis. But always remember that prayer weakens the enemy. James 4:7-8 Says if you submit yourself to God and resist the devil then he will FLEE from you. When you draw near to God, He will draw near to you. Psalms 145:18 - God is near to ALL those who call on Him in spirit and in truth. Have faith that God is near. Hear he's you. He loves you.

I stumbled upon this video and I needed this! Thank you for sharing!! Right now in my walk with God, He is guiding me somewhere that seems out of my comfort. I realized that I am afraid to make the changes that I need to but they are so necessary and I need to continue to obey and stay confident in Him!

Literally everything you just said I’m going through this exact thing & have been going through this for some months now, actually let me correct that for some years now. I read the Bible not everyday but I read it. I pray when I wake up before doing anything & pray before I go too sleep but somethings are very hard for me. Im in one of the hardest times of my life and ive been bouncing between doing really good and falling back into sin and i dont know how to stop it.
A cycle is better than being in one stagnant place. You keep pushing the devil keeps pulling I just don't give up ask God for strength just don't give up He wil deliver you from the struggle of inconsistency if you trust Him too. I'm in a rut myself. You're not alone. But His grace is sufficient
